Lost wedding ring in flower bed near London, Ontario

A very ecstatic Ingersoll couple after a flowerbed search for this beautiful wedding ring. Black titanium in a black mulch bed makes an almost impossible find without a detector! So glad to be of assistance to these great folks!

It took a while but Finally!

Recover 5/1/2021 – I got a call about a lost diamond ring and after getting all the info I proceeded to the address. It ha actually been lost for 3 weeks which sometimes can be of concern. (someone found it, thrown by lawnmower, etc). Making matters worse it had the potential to be in some really tall prickly vines and grass. After 2 hours of searching I found it. So happy to see the ring back on this girls hand!

Lost Diamond Pendant, Burnaby BC… Found!

Today I received a call from a young lady who told me that she had lost her gold & diamond pendant. She told me that she had lost it off of her patio and she felt it come off but didn’t hear where it landed. Her and her girlfriend had spent hours looking for the pendant with no luck. The reason that she knew to call TheRingFinders was because a month earlier her husband had hired me to look for his lost platinum wedding band. Unfortunately he lost it last summer, I had no luck or no chance in finding it because it was a heavily hunted beach a lot of time had passed before I did my search.

I arranged to meet the young lady after work and shortly after 8:30 PM I arrived at the search location, I met her and she showed me where she was standing when she lost her diamond pendent, she showed me where they were looking and also told me that she took all the plants out of the flower pot and search the dirt because it made sense to her it could’ve fallen into the flower pot. After not finding it in the flower pot she moved her search below the deck and into the grass but couldn’t understand why she didn’t see it in the short grass, I decided my search at the first place she thought it was lost and that was the flower pot, I put my pin pointer into the flower pot and I got a good signal right away. She was surprised to hear my pin-pointer go off and said that she had searched it with no luck earlier in the day.

Well after only about a minute of searching I found her beautiful diamond pendant and I was able to surprise her, it’s truly amazing where these sentimental items end up being found, especially after people have search for many hours and couldn’t find it.

I have the best job in the world I get to help find these beautiful items and also return the smile back to the people…I love my job!!

  • from Fayetteville (North Carolina, United States)

Shawn SGT Sherrill – Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call/Text ASAP  Anytime 24/7   918-313-2202

I received a call from fellow ring finder “Doug Hardy” about a lost wedding set in someones backyard. He went and tried but the rain came in and he didn’t have enough time to continue. He asked if I would be able to go out and try. I said, “Sure, I will give her a call” I called Jaimie and got the details and I headed out there to see if I could find her lost rings.

After, about 30 mins of searching, I finally got the right signal I was looking for. BOOM got both rings and they were both still together too.

She was about 15 mins away at a baby shower, so I hoped in the truck, got the address and headed her way to reunite her with her rings.

Love this hobby, love reuniting folks with their lost treasures.

Lost Diamond Ring Recovered in Fredericksburg After Rare Snow Event – Returned to Owner!

  • from Kerrville (Texas, United States)

Mid-afternoon on Sunday I received a frantic call from Shawn that his wife had lost the Diamond Engagement Ring of her wedding set while throwing snowballs at him. Earlier that day Shawn and Jessica learned that it could possibly snow in Fredericksburg, Texas that afternoon. Predicted accumulation was only about 1” (it only snows here about once every six years). Nevertheless, they drove from San Antonio to Fredericksburg because growing up in Florida Jessica had never seen snow before. The snow event happened and before you know it Jessica was rolling snowballs and having a grand time throwing them at Shawn. Uh oh, Jessica looked down and her Diamond Engagement Ring was missing from her finger! She knew she had it when the snow started because she had a picture of it from the restaurant they had eaten at.

So, Shawn looks on the web for metal detectors and finds me under TheRingFinders.com and my Kerrville-Fredericksburg Rings Finders Facebook page. He contacts me and explains the situation. He was positive of the ¼ acre location area in the city park that the ring was lost in. I asked him to call the police department for permission for me to metal detect in the park. They agreed but only to look for the ring and no holes were to dug (historical area). I agreed to brave the 25 mile drive from Kerrville in winter conditions and the 32 degree temperature to try to locate Jessica’s ring. When I arrived at the park the snow had stopped falling and most had already melted into the ground. They showed me the area that they thought the ring should be in. I started to detect with my Garrett AT Pro and found there were a lot of targets to be checked. I detected the entire area for about 1 hour and did not find her ring. The cold had gotten to me and it would be dark soon so I called off the search. I told Jessica and Shawn that I would come back when it was warmer in a couple of days to search for it again.

On Wednesday, the temperature reached the 60’s in the afternoon. My wife, Kathy, and I drove over to Fredericksburg and I again started detecting the area in the park that Jessica had lost her ring in. After about 30 minutes of swinging the detector I got a tone that rang true. Looking down in the grass I could see the glint of a diamond ring. Holy cow, Jessica’s ring!

I called my wife over and we recovered it from the grass. I text Jessica the pictures of it. She was elated to say the least! We made arrangements to meet on Friday to return the ring to her. The smile on Jessica face when she had the ring back on her finger says it all!

Shawn and Jessica did everything right when they noticed her diamond ring was missing. They did a quick scan and realized they would need a metal detector to find it. More importantly, they realized they need an experienced operator of the metal detector. They searched on the web and found a member of TheRingFinders.com that serviced the area. This is how Jessica was able to put her Diamond Ring back on her finger where it belongs!

Lost silver ring in Raleigh – Found!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I got a call from a mom whose son’s girlfriend had lost a silver ring. Although she knew it was in the side yard, she really didn’t have much more location info than that. The search took maybe 30 min (silver is usually very easy to find). Anyway, happy Mom and happy girlfriend!

Lost Engagement Ring Found Outside of Calgary

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Dec 31, 2020

Katrina called me about the custom Saphire and Diamond engagement ring she lost while cross country skiing near Turner Valley.  After chatting for a while, we decided that it would be more of a closure hunt (where it isn’t) than a ring find due to the fact that she covered a total of 10 km while skiing. We would check the places where she stopped for breaks.  We searched a lot of area that day.  Four hours later we returned and did a couple of final checks. You always find it in the last place you look.

Metal Detecting a Ring Lost on the Outskirts of Calgary

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

Mark contacted me. Found me on Kijiji but used “TheRingfinders.com”  to make sure I was on the up and up.  He was in the backyard with his dogs and when he went back in his ring was gone. His gut instinct was that it fell off when he was throwing the ball.  When I arrived, there was lots of evidence that he had been looking for it already. A big patch of snow had been cleared. His words were, “Before I rented a detector I thought I would give you a chance.” Good choice Mark. I have had several people rent a detector, only to tell me they had no clue what the sounds meant.  I searched the area  with no luck. Then we followed the path back to the back door. I had one tone, which we looked at and moments later another. I love it when I hear the ring’s actual tone in my headphones.  We grabbed the camera for the reveal. Awesome.  Less than a year married, and just back from his honeymoon, Mark is glad to have his ring back and is planning on resizing it.

Lost Wedding Ring in Clarion, PA… FOUND!

  • from Altoona (Pennsylvania, United States)

Another successful ring recovery for 2020! Jameson contacted me to find his lost wedding ring. He had finished a run at the Sandy Creek Trail in Van, Pa., and was cooling down when he noticed his ring was no longer on the lanyard he was wearing. He had a general idea of where it came off, but he and his wife had already searched for hours and couldn’t find it. I met Jameson’s wife, Kalen, at the trailhead on a wet and rainy morning to search for the ring with my Equinox 800. I grid-searched most of the parking lot, looked in a few mud puddles and alongside the trail, but it wasn’t until I went to the edge of the lot that I got a good signal and finally located his ring. I am so happy to have found Jameson’s ring for him!

Please contact me so I can help you recover what you thought was lost forever and you, too, will be smiling like Jameson’s wife, Kalen! It’s never too late to recover a ring. Whether you lost it five minutes ago or fifty years ago, I’ll do my best to find it! Take a look at my book of smiles and follow me on Instagram @MrKingDigsIt.

Lost Ring found in St. Francis, Minnesota

  • from Chisago City (Minnesota, United States)

Ring with shinny rim.

Dad with both rings and both Kids.

Following being contacted I went out to St. Francis MN. to help a young couple recover a lost wedding ring in tall marsh grass.  Doing some fall cleanup pulling weeds and cutting grass. It was during dumping the clippings in the into the compost pile that he noticed his ring was missing.  His ring fit a little loose and wanted to get to get it resized. After loosing the ring, not thinking it could be found he purchased a new smaller ring.  Meanwhile his wife contacted me and I mentioned that I could come out yet that night. I mentioned that I really don’t need much light, the detector will work just fine in the dark.  I have a headlight that is very bright that I use while working at night.  The area that the ring was last known was pointed out and the new identical ring was tested with the metal detector.  It took about 10-15 minutes to locate the ring. To tell you the truth the headlight played as much of a roll in locating the ring as the metal detector did.  I caught a good tone and the rim of the ring sparkled. I caught a glimmer at the same time the tone came over my headset.  It was nestled down under some tall bent- over grass.   If I were out during the day light I don’t know that I would have spotted it as well as I did.  I think it would have been hidden in the shadows. It was so nice to find it so quickly.  After some long searches its nice to get a couple that are quick.

When I went back up to the house I told them that the grass was a lot longer than I had anticipated. I could see his shoulders drop, you could see the disappointment. I then put my hand out with the ring and you could again see a complete turn of excitement and jubilation.  You found it… It never gets old showing the found rings. With his young kids in his arms he slipped it on a finger for a quick photo.  A story that will be able to be told with a happy ending.
