I received a call from a woman who had contacted the Avalon Police department in hopes they could help her to locate her lost diamond and gold earring she had lost on the beach entrance way the night before. They passed on my information to her as I had done many successful recoveries on the beaches over the years. We agreed that we would meet the following morning at the entrance. On site she explained how she had lost it while taking pictures with girlfriends and was sure the earring was in a small area of the sand. I decided to use my White’s V3i metal detector with a small coil for the job as it is very sensitive to smaller items like earrings. I was able to use her matching earring to compare the audio/visual signal on my detector and after a couple of minutes of searching I found the missing earring in the sand. The beautiful earrings were once again a set and a very happy customer was able to enjoy the rest of her vacation with friends.
I received a call from a gentleman who had lost his white gold wedding ring in the surf while playing with his kids while on vacation in Ocean City. He stated that he lost the ring the day before and actually saw it fall off his finger but couldn’t grab it before it disappeared into the sand & waves. Quickly thinking he took some quick notes as to nearby landmarks, time of day and depth of water where the loss had taken place and drew a detailed map in hopes of returning and finding the ring. Arriving onsite at low tide we reviewed the map and setup a search area. I started my grid pattern and after digging a few coins and trash items but no ring I began to get a bit concerned but continued on. Then his brother in-law arrived and stated he felt we were off a little in our search area so I started working my way towards the other area. Within a few grid searches I received a nice signal on my detector and called them over saying “This sounds good and is probably your ring” I scooped out some sand and brushed the pile with my foot and out rolled his ring Lol! They were amazed not only that I found it but I called it! An instant sense of relief had come to the owners face as it was putting a real damper on the family vacation and now could go show his family that we found it. Back to having a great time as planned. Another great recovery! Recovery # 109
I received a call from a guy that had lost his gold/platinum with diamonds wedding ring on a volleyball court during a company employee outing at the Johnson & Johnson corporate complex earlier in the week. He wasn’t sure exactly where the ring came off but was sure it was somewhere on the court. Arriving at the seen I figured this was a good opportunity to try out the new White’s MX7 metal detector and after a quick setup the search was underway. Deciding to half the court at a time a started to grid the area back & forth and completed the first half with no luck. Moving on and halfway through the second half I received a solid signal right where the sand meets the grass of the court. Observing the display screen of the MX7 it showed a gold vdi reading and as I looked down at the sand I could see the very edge of the ring hidden in the sand. I called over the very worried customer and showed him the ring laying in my sand scoop. “Absolutely Amazing” were his first words accompanied with a huge smile and look of relief on his face,he was extremely thankful for my help and professional service. Another happy customer! Recovery# 110
I received a call from Andrew late yesterday evening after he and his family left the beach yesterday, realizing that he had lost his keys in the sand. He explained where about the family was sitting grid of that area the keys were nowhere to be found. So we expanded the search further out another 30 feet on each side and the rental car keys were found!

I received a call asking for my help to recover a mans wedding ring that was lost in the lake at a campground. I had done 2 previous recoveries at this lake earlier in the summer and felt confident I would be successful in this recovery also. As I arrived at the lake and speaking with the customer,he explained that the ring had come off while throwing a football in about chest deep water. He showed me the general area and I setup my White’s MX Sport waterproof metal detector and began the search. After an hours hunt and no ring in the scoop yet I was starting to get worried the search would not be a success? I decided to look further from the area he described and a few minutes later there it was in my scoop,my 100th lost ring recovery!!! Success!!! What an awesome feeling it was to not only tell him I found it but reach such a great milestone in my recovery service! Another awesome recovery! #100 is in the scoop!!
I received a call from a woman asking for my help finding her son-in-laws wedding ring he had lost in a swimming lake while playing with his kids. she explained that he was really upset about losing it and that it meant the world to him. Hoping I would be able help perform what many consider to be a miracle she asked if I would be willing to come out to the campground where they were staying for the season and give it a try? Securing permission and entry to the lake area upon my arrival we arrived at the beach and Tina & Tim showed me the area where their son-in-law had lost it the previous week. Starting my search moving from shallow to deep water I began a grid pattern waiting for the right signal from my metal detector. After 45 minutes and numerous other coin, junk jewelry and trash items I was happy to see his white gold wedding band show up in my scoop! Waiting and watching from the pavilion on the beach they were amazed when I walked out of the water holding the ring up. We couldn’t wait to send a picture to the couple with the great news that the ring had been found. They couldn’t have been more happy and thankful for my services! Recovery #93 is in the scoop!

I received a call from the Avalon police department asking if I could come down and do a ring recovery right away? They stated that it was a valuable ring and that the couple had contacted the police for assistance and since I have done numerous recoveries they were asking for my help. I immediately contacted the owners and she explained that she was in the surf hours before catching a football in knee deep water and saw the ring fall off when she caught the ball. Checking the tide schedule low tide was approaching which would be in our favor as it would now be a wet sand hunt but getting dark soon. Meeting on the beach with a fellow detectorist ( Steve Pacifico) and the couple who were frantically pacing in and out of the water hoping to find it. We started searching the area from the dry sand to the waters edge. After about 40 minutes we had finished the area but no ring so I decided to go in the water to my knees and try again. About 10 minutes later I got a nice gold signal from my detector and scooped up the sand and as the water rinsed the sand out of the scoop the beautiful diamond ring glistened in the light of my headlamp! Not realizing I had found it I approached the wife to ask her what it looked like again and started to describe it and I said oh you mean like this? She immediately started crying tears of joy saying yes! Yes! Thats it!!! The husband’s expression was priceless with major relief as he explained that the ring was not insured and cost $38,000.00. Ugh! Needless to say they were very happy for it’s recovery and The Ring Finders Service! Another awesome recovery!
