Lost diamond ring , Winter Garden, Fl…Found with a metal detector!

Cady texted me on Father’s Day…wishing me first a Happy Father’s Day…and then asked if I could possibly help her find her lost engagement ring. She explained that the day before she was out walking her dog when all of a sudden the dog bolted, jerking the leash from her hand and in the process the leash pulled her diamond engagement ring right off of her finger. She actually saw her ring bounce off of the sidewalk and into the grass. Her first thought was to grab her ring but as she watched her dog run across the street she figured she needed to catch her dog first, so he would not get hurt or lost and then she could come back and pick up her ring. She tried to make a mental note of where she was when she dropped her ring but everything happened so fast! After catching her little dog she went back down the sidewalk and began looking for her ring…and she could not find it! The sidewalk area began to look all the same and somehow her ring had just plain disappeared. Cady and her husband looked for a long time and finally gave up. Desperate for help she typed “Ringfinder” into google and up popped theringfinders.com and one of my stories about a recent search and recovery!

I met Cady the next day and she walked me through the area and explained what all happened. I set out two flags along the sidewalk and reassured her that I would do my very best to find her ring. She had a phone interview coming up and I let her know that I would look as long as necessary and I would be there when she was finished. Five minutes later I sent her the most wonderful news and she came running out to see for herself!

What an honor and privilege to be involved in reuniting a precious lost item to its rightful owner and see the thrill and relief and joy that comes over them. Hard to keep my own composure at times like this! I thank God for allowing me to bring such happiness to Cady’s life!

Beautiful 1 carat diamond ring returned!

This beach was private and I asked to owner to check on getting me permission to detect. She was able to obtain permission and off we went. This was in some pretty soft sand and it had been a couple days. After searching for an hour I was about to give up and as I was coming out of the deeper water I got a very scratchy light hit but it was in the proper range for the ring. It was basically my LAST target and BAM! I was very happy to be able to return this beautiful 1 carat diamond ring!

When I get a call about a lost ring I have the owner mark the closest spot to where they think it was lost and then I draw a box around the area and start griding it off. In this case it only took about 5 minutes! Another smile to add to the book!

Silver wedding ring found in school athletic field

I was notified to see if I could search a school athletic field in Clarks Summit, PA for a silver wedding ring. While playing water sports with the kids during their end of year field day, the ring had fallen off in a large field. I arrived to meet my client and he showed me the primary areas where he was playing. Using my Garrett ATPro I began searching in a grid pattern covering a large area. After a little more than an hour of searching I got the loud hit for his ring. He was sitting on the bleachers with his 3 year old when I approached him with his ring. He got chocked up and said he had just been praying with his young son that I would find the ring. A few minutes later his wife arrived and said she had just been praying as well while driving to our location. It was truly a blessing to return his ring and to see the smiles on their faces. Lost Wedding Band Found In Atlantic Beach, NC By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Daniel and his family were enjoying the beach at Fort Macon State Park.  Daniel removed his wedding band before heading into the water.  It wasn’t until they returned to their vehicle that Daniel realized he didn’t put his ring back on his finger.  His wife Shanta found Crystal Coast Ring Finders and plans were made to attempt a recovery the following day.  After going through the proper channels to secure permission, we headed to the area that Daniel had marked very well the previous day.  After a few sweeps, my Equinox 800 displayed a strong 21 signal.  Daniel’s ring was found just a couple of inches below the surface.

Sentimental Ear Ring Lost At Atlantic Beach Found Two Days Later

I was practicing my detector skills and settings at “The Circle”.  As I pulled another bottlecap from it’s sandy depths (glass bottles are prohibited here), a couple asked if I had found an ear ring.  Kate informed me she had lost the ear ring in the same general area 2 days prior.  My recovery mode went into action as I started to grid the area.  To her surprise and after a few more pieces of junk metal, I received a solid 1 signal on my Minelab Equinox 800.  It took 1 scoop to unbury her missing ear ring.

Kate was thrilled I found it and explained although it didn’t have monetary value, her Aunt had made the ear rings for her and the sentimental value connection made her very happy to have the set back in her possession.

Lost ring at the beach, Ormond Beach, Fl….Found with metal detector!

Brenda and a friend were driving south along the Atlantic coast of Florida heading into the Ormond Beach area and decided to stop at one of the sandy parking areas along the road. Here and there they could see wooden board walks going over the dunes making it easy access to the beach but it just so happened that where they pulled off there were no such walkways. Instead there was a small trail that led onto the beach which was OK as here there were less people. After walking onto the sand Brenda removed her special heirloom ring and put it into the bottom of her bag thinking she would get it later on. For 45 minutes they enjoyed the sun, sand and cool ocean breezes and then headed back to the car. Before getting into her car Brenda opened the back of her Ford Escape and pulled a towel from her bag to wipe the sand off of her feet. Two hours later she arrived home in Dade City and as she went through her bag and car she could not find her precious ring. Slight panic set in as it slowly dawned on her that just maybe her ring had come out somewhere at the stop along the beach.

After receiving and reading Brenda’s text I agreed that it would be a long shot..BUT…I have seen miracles happen and I tried to encourage Brenda to not give up HOPE! We texted back and forth and I asked a ton of questions to try and narrow down the exact search area. Four days later I decided to make the one hour drive. I had drawn up a map of the most likely places to search and my number one spot most resembled what Brenda described and as I pulled off the road I could see the area had received allot of rain and there was a large puddle of water all along the side of the road. My plan was to search the parking area first and then work my way down onto the beach. It was raining cats and dogs so I put on my rain coat and boots, grabbed my water proof ATMax metal detector and carefully made my way along the edge of the road, being careful of the cars passing close by doing at least 45 mph! My first pass netted a few pull tabs and two pennies and half way back I got a sweet 45 reading that no one in their right mind would pass up. Being as it was in the middle of the puddle I used my Garrett AT pin pointer and grabbed a handful of sand and slowly rinsed my hand in the water to reveal a glimmer of gold! I was stunned as I stared at Brenda’s gold, diamond and opal heirloom ring in my hand! A shout of joy left my lips as I looked towards heaven and thanked my God Almighty for allowing me the blessing and opportunity of finding Brenda’s lost ring. I immediately took a selfie and texted Brenda, who was in the middle of helping her sister move. I waited a couple of minutes…and nothing. So I called her…she answered…and I asked if she saw my text? She hadn’t and for the next few minutes she was so overwhelmed that she could not talk, so I shared the details with her dear sister. What a thrill it is to be a part of such a joyous moment!

Old Silver Beach, Falmouth, MA – Fastest Ring Return

June 9, 2021; while I was out returning a watch that had been left at a swimming pool I had a call from Fernando about a lost Promissory Ring. It had been left on a beach chair while applying sun screen protection. It was the second time the ring had been removed and Fernanda had become very enthusiastic to be back at the beach in the sun and sand. The excitement was just enough to take her mind away from returning her ring to her finger before it fell from the chair into the soft warm sand. All the searching did not find the ring.

A metal detector was the answer, but not the one that was rented and used for quite some time. Only nip bottles, a tent peg and some aluminum pieces were found. The ring had been lost since Sunday, it was now Wednesday when I received the call. I knew there was one detectorist that frequents Old Silver Beach just about every morning. It worried me on my hour drive to the beach that he may have already found the ring.

At the beach; a review of where, when and how the ring was lost. Looking down at the area there was a new group of beach goers spreading their blankets, towels, chairs and cooler in the exact spot were the ring had been lost. While I got my gear ready, Fernanda politely asked the group if they could move about 15 feet down the beach. The group was glad to do it and cheered me on as I arrived at the area to search. The pile of found targets was in the sand marking a area that had been searched and a few broken search boundary lines were still visible.

I set myself to start my search close to the blanket that had been move and started westward away from the water. BANG! Second swing a solid indication from my detector that there was a target that needed to be removed from the sand. A shallow scoop and the ring was the only object in the scoop. I moved the scoop toward Fernanda so she could remove it and place it back on her finger. I could not believe it, less than 15 seconds had passed since I started to search. This was indeed the fastest search and return I have ever made. The following cheers, congratulations, Thank Yous lasted much, much longer. There was even talk about the Promissory Ring being replaced by a bigger diamond. Everyone wished Fernando the best and promised to remember The Ring Finders should they ever have a need for help in locating a “lost” metal object.

Wedding Ring Lost and Found at School

Nina called me. Her daughter wore her wedding ring to school. During P.E. she played some frisbee and realized at the end of class that the ring was gone. The teacher was awesome and organized a hunt for it in each of his classes. The ring was never found.

That’s when they called me.  Mom showed me around but it wasn’t until Sophia showed up and explained what happened that I was put in the right area. Not long after, it was found inside the area that she outlined. It is back where it belongs.
