Lost ring at Coronado dog beach Found!

I ran across a Craig’s list ad in the lost and found section that told of a lost wedding ring at the dog beach in Coronado. I emailed Lisa back about TheRingFinders.com service and that I would be willing to look for it if they wished me to. A series of e-mails later, arrangements were made to meet at the beach at a low tide on Saturday morning. That beach gets detected almost daily, so. I just hoped the ring was still there, especially with an active Craig’s list ad.

I arrived early to beat the traffic and find a parking spot easier. I started detecting the beach but I didn’t know the search area yet, so, I just made my best guess on the most popular area. After detecting for a while and finding some targets (a good sign), Lisa’s husband, Olivier, and their son showed up to direct me to where they had been several days earlier when the ring was lost…the other end of the beach, of course! Olivier and son had been playing ball at the water’s edge when Olivier’s ring flew off. I had them give me the dimensions of the search area which ended up being about 80′ squared of wet and dry sand. I started at the middle of one edge of the square and proceeded to cut the square in half and work my way toward the edges. 10′ into my first pass, I had my first target, his ring, and it was in my scoop! They couldn’t believe it and thought I must be some kind of magician! A happy Olivier had his ring back so it can continue it’s story. Thank you for the reward.

How To Find A Lost Ring On Kits Beach, Vancouver.

The other day I went to the beach at night to cool off & relax and of course do some metal detecting. I started searching where all the people hang out by the logs during the day, there were some partiers still out there at midnight and one of my treasure hunting friends showed up so I headed to the other side of the beach away from the young kids. I was finding the coins and a ton of bottle caps then I found a silver ring. I could see the 925 stamp inside the band so I put it in my pouch and carried on.

When I got home early in the morning and after a couple of hours of sleep I was on my computer and I checked out the craigslist to find an ad about a lost silver wedding band with a great drawing of the location the ring was lost…I knew  it was the ring I found. So I sent a picture of the ring and said I think I found your ring…The phone rang minutes later and the young lady couldn’t believe that I found it. She was so excited and told me that she wasn’t going to tell here husband she was going to surprise him. They only got married two months ago and he was very sad!

I arranged a meeting place and the young lady picked up her husbands ring and headed for home after a little interview…Below you can watch the video.

Lost Friday June 26th 2015  Recovered Monday June 29th 2015

I (Paul) lost my custom wedding ring last Friday at Durrance lake when I was at the waters edge with my son and I was throwing away a piece of fish bait my son had picked up. I only heard the sound of the ring hitting the water and couldn’t tell where it went. Incredibly Don was able to locate it three days later twenty feet from shore in less then ten minutes!

The hunt required my trusty water machine ( J.W. Fishers) and a long handled scoop. Paul had a good idea where he was standing when he lost it but no idea where it landed. I started a grid search and found it in ten minutes on the first pass.

 

Totally Awesome ring Paul and it was so great to get it back to you.

Lost Mens Wedding Band At Gordons Pond State Park In Rehoboth Beach, Del.- Found

image1 (1)On 05/24/15, I received a text message from a gentleman requesting my help in finding his lost platinum wedding band at Gordons Pond State Park in Rehoboth Beach, Del. I then called him to learn the circumstances regarding how he had lost his ring. The gentleman said that he and his wife had been sitting in the sand on the beach at the state park as he stood up he went to brush the sand off of his pants his wedding band flew off his finger and landed in the sand behind him where it disappeared. I told the gentleman that I would meet him the very next morning so that I could assist him in finding his lost ring. After meeting at a shopping center, we drove to the beach to begin the search for the ring. The gentleman’s wife had used her cell phone to take a photo of the sand dune up from the area of the beach where the ring was lost. Using the photograph we were able to locate the area of the lost ring by identifying two small trees and using them as landmarks. After searching the beach for about fifteen minutes the lost ring was recovered and returned to its owner.

Lost White Gold Wedding Band .. Huntington Beach .. Volleyball Court

Karl called me from the airport where he was waiting for his fight back to his home in Phoenix, AZ. He told me he had lost his wedding band while watching his daughter participate in a volleyball tournament. He texted me the location. It was one of 28 volleyball courts. I drove 5 miles, found his ring and was able to text him a photo of his ring just as he was shutting down his smart phone for the departure of his flight. The next morning I returned the ring to his wife, Kristen who will be returning to Phoenix later. Below is Karl’s side of the story.

Thanks again for finding my ring. I was attending my daughter’s beach volleyball tournament at Huntington Beach. During the game, an errant volleyball headed into the crowd towards me. I instinctively shot my left hand up into the air in an attempt to deflect the ball, and as I did, I felt my wedding ring fly off my finger. My wife and I looked around for it frantically, knowing that with each person walking by and kicking up sand, our chances of finding it were dwindling. After searching for about a half an hour, and seeing person after person kicking up sand and surely burying my ring, we resigned ourselves to having lost it for good.

Later that day, upon returning to our hotel and preparing to leave Los Angeles, I got on the internet and conducted a Google search for folks with metal detectors in the Huntington Beach area. I found Stan Ross on www.TheRingFinders.com and I called him from the airport as I was awaiting my flight. Stan was on the case in no time, and he kept me apprised of his status as he scanned the beach and I got ready to get on my flight. Then, just before departing, Stan texted me with a triumphant pic of my ring. He had found it! My wife and I were ecstatic! Luckily, my wife and kids had already planned to stay an extra day at the beach, so they were able to meet Stan and get my ring back. We’re very grateful for Stan’s services, and we give him our absolute highest recommendations. Thanks again Stan.

White gold wedding band found in Denver’s Washington Park

I was attending the GPAA’s Gold and Treasure show when I received a call from Mike. He was in one of the local parks preparing to play volleyball when he decided to take off his white gold wedding band and place it into his pocket for safe keeping. After a few games and a few beers Mike decided it was time to walk home and reached for his wedding band. The ring was no longer in his pocket. His friends stopped playing and searched both courts that they played in and the area between them in earnest for his ring for several minutes. But they had no luck the ring was well hidden in the grass. After a quick internet search Mike found me  and left me a message on my cell phone. I noticed the message on my phone and called Mike back. I was only a 15 minute drive from the park and just happened to have a couple of detectors in my truck.

Upon my arrival Mike and I talked about the series of events that happened, he took me to the location where he had played. His friends were still there playing one last game of volleyball so the location of the hunt site was not in question. I searched the area between two courts that Mike had played on only recovering pull tabs. As his friends were taking down the final net I asked them to keep some sort of indications as to the net’s and sidelines locations. They left the court boundary line staked in the ground so I decided to run a couple of quick patterns along both sides of the net location. Within 15 feet of starting this pattern my V3i gave me a nice 13-14 reading and there was Mikes wedding band. I received a crushing group hug from Mikes friends and Mike was quite relieved to have his ring back.

Lost Women’s Wedding Ring in Centerburg, OH. “FOUND”

I received a text about a lost women diamond white gold wedding ring. She lost the wedding ring on her property and has searched for the ring for many hours with no luck. I was able to perform the search later that day. I searched a lot of ground and about 2 hours later still with no luck. As I continue searching, there was the ring in the driveway. She was very very happy to have the ring return to her.

Anniversary Ring Found St. Albert, Alberta Canada

Dawna  emailed me late last night asking if I would help find  her ring. When I called her this morning she told me that she had been doing yard work on Tuesday and that evening noticed her ring was missing from her finger.  Over the next few days she went out to try and find it but with no luck,  then thought that perhaps she had lost it in her bedroom and was unable to find it there either.

When I arrived around 8:30 this morning she showed me where in the yard her ring might be,  and said that she had also worked in her flower pots.  I checked a small area in her front yard, then moved to the back yard and did the same.  Her ring was in the last pot that  I checked in the back yard. Wedding Ring found in Cranston, RI

On February 8, 2015, I received a call from Steve regarding his lost wedding ring.  He explained that he had lost the ring while cleaning out the gutters and shoveling at his home.  Steve searched desperately for hours and even borrowed a metal detector from a family member, but he had no luck.  He decided to consult the internet to see if there was anyone who could help him.  Steve located me on The Ring Finders website, noting that I had recently found a military school ring in the snow.  He contacted me during a snowstorm to see if I could help.  I decided to go to his home immediately for fear that the new snow would only make the search more difficult.  I located Steve’s wedding ring in fifteen minutes under a few inches of snow.  Steve, and his wife, were amazed and very happy to have the ring back.

White Gold Engagement Ring Recovered In Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland

A winter birthday, a missing engagement ring — and a search that brought relief

Some recoveries begin with joy, turn into panic, and end in pure relief.

Laura’s story is one of them.

Laura had celebrated her 40th birthday surrounded by friends — laughing, relaxing in a hot tub, and even making snow angels in the fresh winter snow. It was one of those carefree moments you remember for years.

But later that same day, the joy shifted.

She looked down at her hand… and her engagement ring was gone.

Panic set in. She searched everywhere she could think of. The next day, desperate to find it, she went outside with a spade and a rake, trying to dig through the heavy snow. But the ring was nowhere to be seen.

When I spoke with Laura on the phone, I could hear the worry in her voice. I told her I could come to Muhos to search for the ring, and she was incredibly relieved. Sometimes, just knowing help is on the way makes all the difference.

I packed my XP Deus and my pinpointer into the car — and of course my wife came along to handle the camera so we could document the mission — and we left early in the morning. A three‑hour drive ahead of us, plenty of time to think about how much this ring must mean to her.

When we arrived, Laura showed me the spot where they had been bathing and playing in the snow. I took out my detector, studied the area, and began the search. The temperature was above freezing, and the snow was heavy and wet — the kind that hides everything.

But after only a few minutes, I got a strong, clean signal.

The kind of signal that makes your heart beat a little faster.

I knelt down, used the pinpointer to narrow the spot… and there it was.

Her engagement ring, shining through the snow as if it had been waiting to be found.

When I showed Laura the ring, she froze for a moment — then her face lit up. She hugged me and thanked me over and over again. The relief was overwhelming.

Later she told me something that stayed with me:

She hadn’t even been able to tell her husband that she had lost the ring. Not until I called and told her I could come and search did she finally feel hope again.

Ring recovered — 17th January 2015.

A moment of panic turned into a memory she’ll never forget.
