Husband loses 22k gold wedding band in waters at Wasaga Beach, ON 🇨🇦

I was a water detecting in a quite part of Wasaga Beaches testing new setting on my Minelab Equinox 800 with the amazing Patriot Headphones!

Karthik & his Wife Indhu we’re enjoying the waters of Wasaga Beaches. He approached me to find his lost ring minutes ago. It’s amazing how quick they can get covered up!

I started a circular grid around Karthik. On my second pass 2” down BINGO!

Karthik & Indhu were extremely happy and kindly made a donation to my charity “The Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation” !

Heart shaped diamond with prongs goes missing in Hudsonville, Michigan

I got a referral from my niece Stephanie, to get a hold of Megan B. about her lost diamond setting off her wedding ring. While Megan was working in her front yard it appeared that her heart shaped diamond with prongs came off her ring while removing her gloves several times. Megan showed me where she was working putting dirt under some garden blocks. There were about three places in the yard where she removed her cloves so I proceeded to search. Prior to arriving at Megan and Jeff’s home I stopped at a friends jewelry store to get a setting to test on my detectors. Fisher F75 DD coil did not detect it, small gold nugget coil did not detect it, Bounty Hunter time Ranger 10 inch coil did not detect it but the Gold nugget coil on the BH did give me a faint signal in the all metal mode. I started a grid search and also used my Orange pin pointer but that would only detect it using the side of the pointer. After scouring the three areas, I asked Jeff for some water and picked his brain as I usually do the detective thing before I start but Megan was gone. I asked him what exactly did Megan do that day the diamond was lost. He said “from the yard she got in the car went to the drive in ice cream stand then home” at that time, Jeff noticed her diamond missing while setting at the kitchen table. I then asked him my list of questions: did you check the gloves? Did you check the car? did you check her clothes, purse etc? I couldn’t grill Megan and didn’t find the diamond after crawling around on my knees for two hours in the front yard in the hot sun so I said goodbye to Jeff and said I will be back Tuesday to continue my search. Woo and behold! I get a call from Megan, “it was in my purse, thank you so much for coming out to help”. Happy days are here again. So it is very important to ask all the detective questions, Who, What, Where and When. I love my job.

Wedding Band recovered in Ocean Grove NJ found by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Carl who while playing volleyball lost his wedding band of 20 years. I was only 10 minutes away from the beach and told him I’d be right there. Took me longer to find a parking space then the drive there. I met him on the beach at the volleyball court he was playing on and he showed me where he was when he felt his ring fly off hitting the ball. I walked back and forth the whole side of the court and couldn’t find it. Figured I’d check the other side as well incase it flew further then he thought and sure enough about 10 feet on the other side of the net I found his ring. Glad I was able to reunite him with his beloved wedding band. Great recovery.

Lost wedding ring in the water, St. Augustine Beach, Fl….Found and Returned!

Jennifer and her family were on vacation in St. Augustine Beach, Florida when the unthinkable happened! Read what Jennifer wrote: “Hi Mike. Again I cannot thank you enough for finding my hubby’s ring! We appreciate your quick response to what was a terrible way to start a vacation! I will admit that I was very skeptical when theringfinders.com web site was recommended to me but you accomplished what I thought would surely be an impossible task. I know that everyone values their wedding rings but his is extra special! Not only did we inherit our wedding ring set from my parents, it also survived my husband’s near fatal car accident 14 months ago. This was our first vacation and his first time back to the ocean since then. We appreciate your prayers for him! And I want you to know that after we met in person and talked, I knew that the Lord had sent the help I had asked for, He sent us you!!

P.S. I had to wait till midnight for low tide and was very thankful for a beautiful full moon that lit up the whole beach. And the waves were up to three and a half feet so I was getting pushed around a good bit and it took three and a half hours but it was all so very worth the effort to see that lost gold wedding ring in my scoop and then to see the tearful joy and relief on Jennifer’s face!

Man’s White Gold Wedding Band Lost in North Myrtle Beach, Found and Returned

I received a late night email from Kim saying that they were here on vacation with some friends and one of them, Tommy, had lost his wedding band. She asked if it was something I could possibly help with. I replied asking if he thinks he could put me in the right area and to give me a phone number and I’d call him this morning for the details. She wrote back saying she thought he could and gave me his number. I think she was emailing me while Tommy and his wife were searching for his ring in the dark.

I contacted Tommy at about 8:15 this morning, waking him up, and got the details and location. Told him I’d be there in about 20 minutes and was on my way. These were perfect conditions because it hadn’t gotten hot yet with a heat index over 100 and there shouldn’t be the big crowds to contend with.

When I arrived, I walked out on the beach and called him saying I was there. When we met, he was standing in an area of soft sand that was maybe 10ft X 10ft. He told me that he had handed his ring to his wife to hold while he put sun screen on himself and her. He wasn’t sure what happened after that, but at the end of the day, the ring couldn’t be found. I started a grid line and just as I started the 4th line, Boom, I got a solid 12 on the Equinox 800. I dug a small scoop of sand, checked the hole to make sure I had the ring, and dumped the sand. As I did, I saw the glistening of his white gold ring lying in the sand. I reached down, and picked it up with the scoop, shook the sand out, and walked over to where Tommy was standing. I stuck the scoop out for him to see his ring and then he reached in and plucked it out. Overjoyed was definitely an understatement in this case.

Kim, I didn’t get to meet you, but thank you for reaching out to me and putting me in touch with Tommy.

Tommy, thank you for trusting me to help find your lost treasure, and getting it back where it belongs. Have a great rest of your vacation.

Mercer Island lost class ring in Lake Washington

On a nice hot day in Seattle Joe went for a swim off his back yard dock into Lake Washington. As soon as he jumped into the water his dog followed. With one strong motion to tread water he noticed immediately his big gold University of Southern Carolina class ring went straight to the silty lake bottom below. Too deep, silty and milfoil everywhere he was devastated. So he made a Google search on how to find a lost ring in a lake and found the SeattleRingHunter. From this point forward the hunt was on. Hit the Trifecta at Oval Beach, Saugatuck, Michigan

After detecting in a nearby lake all day I arrived home to set down for dinner and got a call from Andy K. saying his wife Jessica lost her 3 rings. One ring was from her grandmother and the other 2 was her engagement and wedding ring. They have been married for one month and are from Cincinnati, Ohio attending a wedding in Saugatuck. They took the trolley from the hotel to the beach and when they got to the beach they put their towels and a handbag in a spot on the beach and Jessica placed her rings in the pocket of the swim suit cover she was wearing and placed the cover in the handbag. When they got ready to leave Jessica pulled the cover out of the handbag forgetting she put the rings in the pocket, they grab the trolley back to the hotel and discovered the rings were missing. They hustled back to the beach and ask the ranger if they knew anyone who could help them find Jessica’s rings. I left my card with the ranger and they have called on me over the years. Andy called me and I told him I could be there in 45 minutes.                                   After showing up at the beach I proceeded to do a grid search of the area they were in earlier. I searched a 20 foot grid North and South finding a penny which I handed my scoop to Jessica and she took the penny, I went another 20 feet the other way and got a quarter and handed my scoop to Jessica and she took out the quarter. After several passes with no success I went up and down the path where they entered the beach with no success. I then took an East and West grid search of the same area and after 4 passes I got a faint signal with my Fisher F75 and scooped up a ring with a blue stone. I again handed the scoop to Jessica and she thought it was another penny, when she looked into the scoop she fell to her knees crying “that’s my grandmothers ring”. I then took another scoop and showed it to her and she continued crying “that’s my engagement ring” and then the next scoop was her wedding ring. Jessica could not control herself thanking me and Andy stood there amazed too. This was the end to a very nice day at the beach and a trip to Pure Michigan.                    BTW Jessica, I never did give my $.26 back that I found.

Beautiful 1K Diamond Engagement Ring Lost in North Myrtle Beach, Found and Returned

I received an email, and then a follow up phone call, from Kim saying she had lost her engagement ring and asking for help in finding it. She said she lost it around 1pm that afternoon. Looking at the tide tables, the next low tide would be at 1:30am the next morning. I got the resort address and told her I’d be right over so I could get an idea of what my search area needed to be. After seeing what I was up against, I told her I’d be back at 1am.

The search area wasn’t all that big, so when I got back at 1am, I started a perpendicular search going from the wet sand to the water line. I kept expanding my search area both north and south and wasn’t getting many targets, and definitely no ring. Kim and her husband came out to the beach around 2am and I confirmed the search area. I decided to change tactics and started a parallel grid line with the beach and still nothing. Finally around 3am, I called it a night. I had a big family reunion starting later that day, so I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it back out at the next low tide. I told Kim that I was going to contact both Matt Fry, TRF Myrtle Beach, and Jim Brouwer and see if one or both could cover for me. Around 8:30am I got a call from Jim saying he was available to search. Shortly after we hung up, Matt called and said he wouldn’t be able to help. I contacted Kim and told her Jim would be there to search and he’d be calling her shortly.

Sometime around 2pm Jim called saying he’d found her ring. I must have walked right over the ring, missing it. That happens sometimes, but thankfully Jim backed me up and Kim’s ring made it back to where it was suppose to be.

Kim, sorry I added a little more stress by not finding it in the first place, but thank you for trusting us to help find your lost treasure.

Lost Ring Longboat Key, Recovered By SRARC

Carlos and family joined the extended family for a reunion on Longboat Key this week. They were enjoying the day on the beach and in the early afternoon decided to toss a football around in the water. As Carlos tossed the ball he saw his wedding ring fly off his finger and disappear into the gulf. The whole family searched for a couple hours but could not find it. After giving up the search they all came together at a local restaurant for dinner. Harold, Carlos’s uncle, started asking the waiters if there was someone local that had a metal detector. They soon learned about SRARC ring finders and Harold found us on the internet and called. A meet was setup for the following morning and Mike Miller showed up to try his luck. Carlos knew right where it came off and after a few minutes of hunting up came the ring. It was soon returned to Carlos’s finger amid lots of cheers and smiles. It’s always a great feeling when we get to return a precious item to the owner.

LOST WEDDING RING AT SANTA FE DAM IN IRWINDALE CA FOUND AND RETURNED.

It was only 95 degrees out last Sunday afternoon, so I thought I would go swing the metal detector in the lake at the local swimming area .I hunted for a couple of  hours with not much luck  others than a few coins, some bottle caps and some fishing hooks . About ten  minutes before closing time at 6:00 pm  a sad young lady  named Kim came to me to see if I could help find her husband’s wedding band . I searched for a few minutes in one area before her husband Anthony came out into the water about waist deep and told me he lost his ring around chest deep. Well, I am a bit shorter than him so I was out just under my nose , after about five minutes and just when they were closing, I heard a loud signal . I knew I found it but retrieving it took a few scoops with my nose under the water but there it was . When I walked it over to Anthony and his wife they were very suprised , relieved and very grateful. The day ended well with returning a wedding ring to such as a nice couple.
