Meaghan contacted me wanting help in finding her daughter’s lost ring. Her daughter was playing with some friends in the grass of their yard when while making a spin, her ring flew off of her finger, and was lost in the thick grass. We arranged to meet, and I arrived at the time set.

When I arrived Meaghan met me at her gate, and took me to the back yard of her house. She showed me where the girls were playing when the loss occurred, and explained how they had searched extensively for the ring, but with no luck. I turned on my detector to begin the search, and she went in to the house telling me to let her know if I find the ring. I began my search, and after about 3 passes in the small area, I found the small ring. Vanessa contacted me about a chain and pendant her grandson had lost at the beach earlier that day. They had left the beach, but she had an idea of where the loss occurred. I was able to go, assembled my equipment, and went.

When I arrived I met Vanessa, and we walked out to the area of the loss. She explained the the pendant was actually a mini urn with her grandson’s late father’s ashes inside, so it meant a great deal to recover this item. The area was stretched out over about 40 yards, so I began my search promptly. There was not a lot of trash metal, so the search went a bit quicker than usual. About halfway through the area I received a nice signal, dug and had a rectangular pendant in the scoop with chain attached. When I looked at it, it had a screw on the bottom, so I figured this was it. I showed Vanessa who confirmed the find, saying that her family would be forever grateful.

I received a text from David who was concerned that he had lost his ring while gardening in his back yard. We arranged a day and time for me to come and help him.

I got there a little late because of Los Angeles traffic, but not too bad. David met me at the gate to the yard, and took me back to explain what he believed caused the loss. It definitely sounded right to me. The area was on a slope with a lot of leaf and mulch coverage thick enough to hide a ring of any size. I began searching in the area he first showed me moving down the slope, and out of the box as well. About 5 minutes into the search I received a great signal, and put the pin pointer in for the final search. There was David’s ring. I came up with it, and he was happy and surprised to see it. This made his day, and mine as well!

Jared sent me a contact asking if I would be able to help find his lost wedding ring. I posed a few questions regarding the loss, and wondered if he was still at the site. He told me he lived in a city 50 miles away, so I figured not. It was already dark, but I told him I would go and do a search for him if he were able to pin point the area he thought the ring was lost. He thought about doing it the next day, but I explained how time would work against a successful recovery, so he gave me guidance to the area.

I arrived at the area, and made my way down to the pinned spot he had shown me in a satellite image. I marked the area and began a grid larger than he had shown to insure nothing was missed. I went pass after pass digging every tone to be sure. I found numerous pieces of trash metal, some with promising signals, but no ring. Then about 30 feet off the mark I received a good strong signal, dug, and had his ring. I took a picture, and told him I found it. I was in the process of writing to find out when I would be able to make the return when Jared told me that he and his wife were having dinner just 5 miles up the road on my way home. I let him know that I would meet him in the parking lot, and was on my way. When I got there he was outside waiting in disbelief that this all happened to get his ring back, and he told me he had only been married 2 months. How exciting is that!

When Lucy called saying she had lost her earring on a State campus, I made sure she understood that she would have to get permission for me to come and do a search there. She told me that she had already taken care of that issue, so I left right away.

Lucy took me to the area of the loss which happened to be between two dorms, and behind one of them. I began my search in a fine grid pattern, pass by pass. Fortunately there was not a lot of metal in the grass, so the search wasn’t slowed down by constant stopping to check. I did the whole area between the buildings with no earring, then began on the area behind the dorm. As I was going along the edge of the sidewalk I got the silver tone I was looking for, pulled the pin pointer out, and found the earring. Larry called asking if I could help him find his ring lost in the sand at the beach. he was still at the spot, so I knew chances were good that the ring would be found. I let him know I would come right away.

I got there, found Larry and his wife, and they explained to me what they believe happened. I began my search finding some trash metal using a tight grid pattern. After about 4 passes, I got a good signal in the head phones, and put in my scoop. When I pulled it out there was Larry’s ring shining in the sunlight. I received a call letting me know that Paul had lost his phone at the beach, and asked if I could help. They had remained in the area, so the chance of a recovery was high. I let him know I would come immediately.

When I got there the beach was crowded, so it took a few minutes to find him. Paul took me over to the site of the loss, and explained how he had been running in the sand when his phone came out of his pocket, and disappeared. There were people all around, and one would think the phone would have been seen going into the sand, but they searched for over an hour with no luck. I readied my machine, and within 3 minutes found his phone; they were mystified. I handed it back to him, and he was very happy. A great recovery.

John sent me a text explaining how he had been putting up his Christmas lights, and realized his wedding ring was missing. He searched the area very diligently with a small handheld metal detector, yet was unable to locate it. I let him know that I could come right away to help find it for him.

When I got to John’s house he met me at the spot of the loss, and explained how he believed it occurred. I turned on my detector, and John went back to the house allowing me to get right to work. I made a couple of sweeps with my coil, and then I had to move a metal stake to cover another area. Right then I received the signal I was looking for, put in my pin pointer, and had John’s ring in about 2 minutes. I called him, and asked, “how fast did he want this job done?” He could not believe it was found so quickly. It does make a big difference when a person has the right equipment, and is expert in using it. Needless to say John was ecstatic at having his ring recovered.

I was contacted by Brayden who had lost his wedding ring of one month in the sand of a volley ball court at the beach. I was available, and let him know that my services were ready at that moment. We arranged to meet, and I was on my way.

After I arrived, I made my way down to the beach,and found Brayden and his newlywed wife. They showed me the court, and where they thought the ring might have gone. Alexis called informing me that he had been gardening in the green way next to the Metro train line when he noticed his ring missing from his finger. He spent some time looking but thought it might have been buried under the soil. He was hoping my detector would be able to find it, and I assured him that if it was there I would find it. We arranged a time, and I met him near the entrance to the green way.

Alexis took me over to the area, and showed me where he had been working. The area was not big, but there was a lot of loose soil where he had been working. I went over the area slowly finding some aluminum and foil, but no ring, so I began to go outside of the zone. Away from his work zone, and in some tall grass I got a good tone in the head phones. I looked down, and there was his ring. He was surprised it had gone over to that spot, but figured it had flipped off when he removed his glove. I made his day, and he was able to have his wedding ring of 43 years back on his finger again.
