Lost Gold & Diamonds Wedding Band at Aulani Ko Olina Resort Lagoon…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began when I got a call from Tanya who was on vacation with her family from Fresno, California. While her husband John was playing catch with a football in the lagoon at some point his Gold & Diamonds Wedding Band came off. He wasn’t positive it was in the lagoon as he only recognized it missing when they got back to their lounge chairs…but that would be the most logical place. The tide was high and it was late evening so we decided to meet at the lagoon the next morning at low tide. John & Tanya met me and John showed me the area he was sure he was in when they were playing with the football. I told John to go have a breakfast and be sure his phone was on in case i got good news. On the second leg of the grid BOOM on the Equinox. After two scoops there was a gold & diamonds ring in the scoop. But wait, that’s not his ring it doesn’t have the distinctive curve that was in the picture he sent me the night before. On with the grid search. Then when I was exactly in the middle of the grid box and at about the deepest walking depth I got another BOOM on the Nox. One scoop this time and there was John’s amazing ring in my scoop. I called them with the good news and we met on the beach again for the return. Hugs and grateful thanks from the entire Family. Warm way to start the 2020 New Year. Aloha to John & Tanya!

I received a call from Ron in New Port Richey regarding a special horseshoe gold and diamond ring that he had lost in his side yard yesterday while out with his dog. Reclaiming Treasures: A Tale of Lost and Found Rings on the shores of Zuma Beach Malibu CA

  • from Santa Barbara (California, United States)

In the scenic shores of Malibu, a distress call came from the Zlatniks, visiting from Portland, Oregon. Amidst the tranquil beach ambiance, a sudden mishap unfolded as Mrs. Zlatnik’s precious wedding ring slipped from her finger, vanishing into the soft sand below. Despite their diligent search efforts, the ring remained elusive, prompting them to seek professional assistance.

Upon discovering my services online, the Zlatniks wasted no time in reaching out for help. With my trusty Minelab Equinox in hand, I swiftly made my way to the beach, prepared to embark on a mission to recover the lost ring. The Zlatniks’ ring, a stunning white gold band adorned with diamonds, presented a unique challenge, but I remained undeterred.

Guided by years of expertise in professional metal detection, I meticulously combed through the sandy terrain, listening for the telltale tones that could lead me to the buried treasure. After just a few sweeps, a distinct signal resonated—a solid tone registering at 7 on the scale. With precision and determination, I unearthed the long-lost ring, gleaming amidst the grains of sand.

For the Zlatniks, this serendipitous reunion marked the end of a harrowing ordeal and the beginning of a journey back to Portland with their cherished possession restored. It was an honor to play a part in their story of loss and redemption, ensuring that they could return home with everything they came with—and perhaps even more.

During a snow storm in December 2019, Lee lost his rose gold wedding band while playing with his Labrador retriever.  He was anxious to find his ring, so he purchased a metal detector.  After unsuccessfully searching for his ring, Lee decided to turn to someone who was experienced in the use of a metal detector.  It took about two hours for me to find the wedding band as Lee was not exactly sure where it was lost.  Lee and his wife of less than two months were very happy to have the ring returned to them.

Andy contacted me in January 2020 and asked for help in finding his platinum wedding band.  He was sure the ring was lost in his backyard a year prior while he was gardening.  He accidently planted his ring in the ground along with some bulbs and bushes.  Andy borrowed a metal detector but couldn’t locate the ring.  After searching various areas for over two hours, I found the ring about six inches in the ground, close to where he had planted a rhododendron bush.  Andy was excited to have his ring back.  His wife exclaimed, “That’s awesome!  You’re the man!”.

Lost Gold Wedding Band at English Bay Beach, Vancouver…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Lost your ring at the beach…Call: Chris Turner 778-838-3463 Member & CEO of TheRingFinders.com

First Day of the Year and First Gold ring of the Year…Most of my recoveries start with a call followed with a location but this was different. It was Jan.1st 2020 and I went to English Bay beach after the Polar Bear swim where I waited for dark to start my search of the beach.

I started detecting the beach where just hours before there were thousands of people diving into the cold water to bring in the new year. I saw another detectorist (Steve) nice young man out detecting, we talked for a bit and continued on our way.

I’ve searched many years after the polar bear swim and I hardly find enough to buy a coffee and have never found gold after this event. That changed today, I found a beautiful 18 kt gold wedding band with 3 small diamonds. What a great feeling to see that in my scoop and I had a great feeling that I would find the owner as there was the wedding date and name in this ring.

When I got home I posted it on the Craigs List and when I woke up the next morning I had 4 bogus emails & text messages in regards to the ring…All scams! Then another hunter contacted me with a number of someone who had lost a ring that matched mine. I contacted the man and he called me back a few hours later with the exact details of the ring!

As most of you know I get joy out of returning these cherished keepsakes back to their owners and what a great young man I met today, as you can imagine he was very happy!

Gold ring lost while cleaning snow from a car recovered in Bethel, Maine

  • from Rockport (Maine, United States)

  • I received a call from Joseph on New Year’s Eve after he had lost his diamond encrusted gold ring clearing snow from his fiancées car. The ring had been a Christmas gift and after efforts to search with a security wand type detector were unsuccessful, I was called to conduct a search of driveway. After about 15 minutes I was able to locate and return the ring to Joseph who was elated to get it back. A portion of the reward will be donated to the Gary Owen House for Veterans in Searsmont, ME.

Ring lost during proposal in Cape May, NJ FOUND!

  • from Cape May (New Jersey, United States)

Received a call from Jordan on December 21st, 2019. Jordan was in the process of proposing to his girlfriend on Sunset Beach in Cape May when the engagement ring evidently fell out of the box unbeknownst to him. After gathering a few details from Jordan, we setup a time to meet and I headed over to Sunset Beach. I arrived before Jordan and his father so I decided to take a walk down to see if I could figure out where they may have been. Sure enough the tell tale signs were there so I began searching where I believed they may have been. After a brief 10 minute search I had the ring in my scoop! I went back to the parking lot and awaited Jordans arrival. He and his father were in total shock and disbelief that I had already recovered the ring before they arrived. After reuniting Jordan with the ring his father explained how much of a roller coaster of emotions the day had been. All recoveries are emotional for the clients, for many different reasons, and no two are ever the same, but sometimes there are the ones that really make providing this service warm your heart. This is one of them. I attached the reuniting video but it is a bit dark.

Here are some comments and reviews of service from Jordan and his family:

Jordan Page “Hey Jeff! This is me and my fiance with our recovered ring she loves it and we are so thankful to you. You changed what was one of the worst tragedies into one of those great moments you rember for a lifetime. You reaffirmed my faith in humanity and decency. You are truely a hero! To come out at 10pm on a sat night in winter is unbelievable enough let alone. Your integrity in finding the ring before we got there and holding it shows how much of an amazing honest person you are and that is rare these days. We and I personally can not thank you enough the joy even as I write this is overflowing. Everyone in town has been asking us about it and I’m singing your praises as the savior of our engagement. I got a call from sunset beach gift shop checking in about if we found the ring and I told them how awesome you were. He told me to send him a picture of your card so he can give your info to anyone that needs your services. Thank you so so much.”

Keith Page “First, Jeff, Thank You for finding Jordan’s ring…you are amazing!
You came out on a cold Saturday night and before we even got there, you had the ring, again, thank you…I cannot say it enough!
As a father, knowing what Jordan went through to get to this point and then seeing the video of him on his knee proposing and then his reaction realizing that the ring had fallen out and disappeared into the sand, it brought tears to my eyes for him.
You, the helpful people on the beach, the staff at the Sunset Beach Gift shop, my son’s fiance and her two beautiful children, my wife, all turned an emotional roller coaster of a night into one of the most positive and memorable evenings of our lives.
Thank you again, you really are a good person, you have had a positive impact on everyone’s life that you have helped by helping them find something they lost, please keep doing what you do, it does not go unnoticed.
Our very best to you,
Keith & Karen Page, Jordan and his beautiful family. By the way, Maria said yes!”

Karen Page “There really should be more people like you, Jeff! You don’t just provide a much needed service, you restore people’s faith in others along with restoring their precious items. A truly remarkable thing, and very much appreciated! You Rock!”
