Lost White Gold Ring with Diamonds Found by Dowsing in Detroit Michigan

Out Of Town Gold!

A very nice couple were visiting Detroit just over a week ago and he fell down twice in the snow, his gold ring flew off during the ordeal. Not only was the snow coming down but it was dark and ice was underneath as they walked towards their destination. I met them the next day and searched where they thought they were when he fell. Searching in the mind numbing cold air, ice and deep hard packed snow with my MXT… nothing showed up. They had to leave for home. I decided to wait till the predicted thaw came thru this upcoming week and go back. In the meantime I decided to do a photo dowse of the pic She sent me indicating the 2 locations where they thought they were, marked green and blue and a pic of the ring on his finger. Over the next few I days dowsed over the pic, going thru various procedures to see what may come up. I started to get some positive attraction spots around the green circled area. So today I ventured back to the area. Arriving on site there was quite a nice thaw and I fig I would have better conditions to search. The MXT and I first searched the blue circled area, nothing. So I strolled quickly over to the green circled area. As I did a very wide visual line of sight type scan I noticed an object sitting on the sidewalk. I started to pick up the pace and as I got upon it I could not believe what I saw! It was the 14k RING WITH DIAMONDS! plain as day sitting vertically on the sidewalk! It had been trapped for quite awhile in an icy tomb. I had to stop and breathe deeply… regaining my composure….I was within about 5 feet of where the dowsing indicated! and because I simply could not believe that no one saw the ring and walked off with it! I quickly texted the couple with the news and pics, picked up the ring and got out of there! I met the couples friend today as well and the pic of me was just before I turned it over to her to return it to them this weekend! I’m hoping to get a pic from them holding the ring but if not I’m glad they are able to look back at their visit to Detroit as enjoyable despite the temporary loss of their ring!

Lost Keys… Found in Iowa City, Iowa

A woman named Amy contacted me about her lost keys. They were lost in her alley area after she helped a neighbor get his car unstuck from the snow. She thought they may have fallen out of her coat pocket when they were shoveling snow or pushing the car.

I arranged to meet her on Jan. 25th in the morning. When I arrived she showed me the area where she thought they could be. I started the search on one corner of the area and almost immediately got a decent signal.

After moving five inches of snow there they were! Thanks Amy for posting on your face book page because I was able to help a friend of yours recover his cell phone that same day.

KELOWNA RING LOST IN THE SNOW.

Chris was out back of his condo walking his Australian Terrier in the snow, going back inside he realized he had lost his wedding ring. He found me on The Ringfinders website and gave me a call. I responded at 8am the next morning, Chris suspected that it came off while he was shaking the snow off a tree, we went back and searched under the tree, then started a circle around the tree. Within 10 minutes we had the ring and Chris was happy. A quick response and a good suspect location paid off.

Lost wedding ring in Provo, Utah: found

Josh was playing in the snow at a small park when he noticed that his wedding ring was gone. He tried looking for the ring by moving the snow around, but it’s really hard to find a ring that way; often it just sinks lower in the snow, or it gets stepped on and pushed into the roots of the grass. Then, he did an online search for “metal detector rental in Provo”, and found TheRingFinders.com, so he gave me a call. I was able to stop by that night after work. It took me longer to get ready, putting on my boots, snow pants, knee pads, tool pouch, coats, gloves, and scarf, than it did to find the ring. Fortunately, he had only been in a small area in the park, and we could see his footprints clearly. After just 3 or 4 minutes of searching, I found the ring!

#100 finally reached. Not a Ring but a Ring with a key!!!

Grand Rapids, Michigan. I got a call yesterday from a fiend, Matt V, I met at a local gas station. He was trying to start his car in this -10 degree temp and it wouldn’t start so he put the key, with a little metal wrench on the ring, in his coat pocket and walked around the car to his shed. When he reached in his pocket to get the key out for the shed, his car key fell somewhere in the snow which he hadn’t realized until he needed them again. His wife reminded him that the guy at the gas station was a Ring Finder and could help find the key. After raking the snow searching for the key he gave me a call and after a short search I found the key by the shed door.

Lost Gold Heirloom Ring at Aulani Resort Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

This ring find began while I was returning from an iPhone hunt in the Aulani Lagoon. A tourist lady mentioned to me while I was returning to shore that a young girl had lost her heirloom ring in shallow water the day before right near the area I was in the water. I told her I would hunt for the ring after I got out of my scuba gear and would let Aulani Security know if I found it. I returned a short time later with my Equinox and started a grid search. When I was on about the third leg a young lady met me on the shoreline and asked if I could hunt for her ring. Her name was Anna and she was on vacation from Cleveland, Ohio celebrating her parents 25th Anniversary at the resort. I told her the encounter I had with the lady in the water and at that moment she appeared. That’s her there. We all had a good laugh then I resumed the search. On about the ninth leg I got a decent tone and in one scoop there was Anna’s stunning ring. I looked ashore and nodded to Anna that I found it and she was overcome with joy. She came out into the water and gave me a big hug and was so thankful. I found out later that the ring was passed down to her from her Grandfather and was very sentimental and the thought of losing it was tearing at her heart. Anna can now enjoy her Hawaiian vacation. Lost Man’s Gold Wedding Ring in Columbus, OH. “FOUND”

I received an email about a lost man’s gold wedding ring lost in the snow. We just received about 4 inches of the snow the night before. The ring was lost while removing the snow from the car and shoveling. The ring was somewhere in two snow plies around the cars in the driveway. I was able to come and perform the search the same day. I flatten down the first pile with no luck, then the second pile I got a good beep. Pen pointing closer to the hard snow ball and there was the ring inside. They were very happy to have the ring returned to them. I continued with a prayer and a blessing over this couple.

I haven’t been good about keeping my blog posts up to date. Since joining RingFinders I’ve recovered 19 of 24 rings (as of Jan 20, 2019) I’ve gone out to search for. Beaches in the summers, leaf piles in the fall, snow piles in the winter, angry spouses throwing rings, and everything in between.

 

My most recent find was a man who lost his ring while disposing of his Christmas tree in a brush pile. I spent 45-60 minutes detecting a small flattened area where the tree was dumped without finding the ring.  It was disappointing as the area was a bit small to have not found the ring, and the ground was frozen solid so it couldn’t have been underground. The owner called off the search as we had covered the area three times over, so I headed down the path he took through his back yard to dump the tree. I was swinging my detector along the way in case he had dropped it sooner than he thought. Just as I was about to switch off, I heard a high tone in my headphones and looked down and there was the ring sitting on the surface along the path. The owner couldn’t have been happier to return it back to his finger.

Lost Keys Found In The Snow In Grosse Pointe Woods Michigan

Safe And Secure…..Again!

 

This pictured gentleman’s keys fell out of his pocket while operating a snow blower to clear the 6″ to 7″ snow that dropped in on the metro Detroit area Saturday afternoon. After a few passes in the backyard driveway he heard what he thought were sticks or something banging thru the machine. It wasn’t until he finished when he reached for his keys and they were gone. Now he was stranded and locked out as his wife was out of town. Before I got to the site today he managed to find the square portion of the car set on top of the snow in the neighbors yard. When I arrived I learned that there was a black vehicle key and his house keys still missing. Searching the drive area where he first heard the sounds in the machine my MXT said overload! and reaching down under the thin layer of snow produced the house keys and badly bent metal ring! Moving next in the trajectory where the square piece was on the snow took us into the yard next door. I knew from past searches for this type of key it produces a foil signal and a negative number on the meter depending on the key’s orientation. As my bigfoot coil sliced thru the sparkly layers of snow I got a foil/negative read about 4″ deep, cutting a deeper slice I pinpointed the key tipped slightly vertical in the snow and reaching into the snow produced the black car key! He said he was just about ready to jump up and down to warm up and as I held it up I said well this is a good reason too!
He was so thrilled that the keys were found, bringing that great feeling back to him that he and his family will be safe and secure again!

Lost Rose Gold Wedding Band at Aulani Resort Ko Olina…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a call from Kyle from Cincinnati, Ohio. While enjoying his honeymoon with his lovely wife Kim in the cool waters of the Disney Lagoon his ring came off in about five feet of water and disappeared. He rented a snorkel and searched but the ring succumbed to the soft sand. I told Kyle I would be at Aulani early the next morning to search for a phone and we coud meet up then for the hunt data. After showing me the area I told Kyle to enjoy his morning and that I would call him if/when I found his ring. Later that morning, on about the second leg of the grid search I found a Gold Men’s Wedding Band but it wasn’t the ring I was looking for. This happens quite often actually. On about the seventh leg I got another nice tone and there in the scoop was Kyle’s ring. I texted him a pic and we met in the pool area to return his ring. Honeymoon saved! Aloha to Kyle & Kim!
