LOST DIAMOND RING FOUND WAIKIKI

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

On 5/7/18 I was out on the North Shore at 5:00 AM preparing to look for a lost men’s wedding ring and it was still dark. As I’m getting ready I look online and saw a lost wedding ring posted on Craigslist on the opposite side of the island and decide to respond to the ad to offer my help. As the sun started to rise while I was on the North Shore I notice that the waves coming up and looked too risky to put my metal detector in the water next to all the reef and to look for the ring in the high surf conditions. I decide to text Faith and see if we would be able to meet up to search for the ring she posted about on Craigslist. She and I decided to meet at the beach.  She told me that she had someone come out and look for it thoroughly for an hour and a half the day prior so if I was willing she would appreciate it. I decide to go over the searched area even though it was search previously  as “It’s always good to search for yourselves”  and sure enough after a few TRASHY items I noticed on my CTX3030 a solid reading of gold/Platinum! As I look in my scoop there it is and I think to myself thats a beauty. What do I tell Faith? How do I tell her as she is simmering around the beach and telling Uncle China (Known Surfer) about her lost ring. I shout to Faith ” Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER?” Faith responds, “huh?”  I say it again, “Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER?” Faith stops in her tracks and shouts “NO WAY KAI” with tears running down her face I hold up her beautiful ring. The onlookers and the guys that were with Uncle China gave a loud shout and exciting praise!!!  The ring which is so precious was back in the rightful hands and now able to pass down to the next generation. Precious items should be kept safe and I know this family heirloom will be kept safe and passed down for more years to come. Thank you and always have FAITH!

Lost Wedding Ring Victoria, B.C. Recovered

  • from Victoria (British Columbia, Canada)

Francis was gardening Saturday the 21st of April 2018 and while on a high bluff she took off her gloves and in doing so launched her white gold and diamonds wedding ring down the bluff into the deep vegetation below.

On the 23rd Francis found us on the internet and contacted me. I arranged to meet at her house and do a search.

With my trusty MXT and a pin pointer I started up the slope and within 15 minutes I had a major hit.

OMG this is one awesome ring and it looks great back where it belongs.  Francis said “a lesson here is not to wear your rings gardening “

Wedding Band found in North Malibu

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Mike Hall called me on a Saturday night. He was pretty frantic; the previous evening he was eating at a restaurant in north Malibu by Zuma Beach and playing with his son after dinner in the sand, and his wedding band came flying off. It was dark out, so they did a quick search, but came up empty handed. I moved some plans around and met him out there the next day, Sunday evening, after traffic died down. It still took about two & a half hours to make the 80 mile drive. I got there, and Mike and his family were nice enough to save a parking spot for me right next to the sand. I asked him to try his best to remember exactly where he was in the sand when he was playing with his son, in relation to the parking lot, trash cans, and surrounding in general. I took out my Whites Duo Field Pulse machine and started to grid the area. I was finding many trash targets like small nails and bottle caps, but after more guidance from Mike and his son, I was able to narrow down the search pattern to a strip at the back of the beach just parallel to the cars. It wasn’t long before I heard a loud repeatable signal that sounded promising. One scoop, and there was Mike’s ring. He was elated and the whole family was jumping for joy. He then shared the story of the significance of the ring’s history. The ring had been passed down for generations, from his great-grandfather, down to him. What really touched my heart, was that his young son who was there, asked his dad, “How can I get married someday, dad, if the ring isn’t there to be passed down to me?”

Troll Angry! Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found in Fremont… Seattle, Washington on Christmas!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

This Christmas, under a bridge,  I battled a giant troll for a gold ring! When he was distracted by tourists taking selfies, I snatched a lost heirloom from under his gaze and returned it to its rightful owner!

A woman lost her mother’s wedding ring, inscribed with her father’s name, while throwing snowballs at the troll on Xmas eve. She was just visiting this state for the holiday, so it was crucial she find it before her flight out of Seattle. After renting a metal detector, searching and not having any luck, her friend found my name on Google. She called me Christmas morning and I was on the case in a couple hours.

Luckily after around half an hour of searching, I hit the target! Buried in the snow was her ring! I was super happy to help and I got out of there quick before the troll knew what had happened…

Gold ring snatched from the Troll!

Happy reunion!

Lost Gold Diamond Woman’s Ring in Newark, OH. “FOUND”

  • from Newark (Ohio, United States)
Contact:

I received a call about a lost rose gold diamond women ring which was lost after being thrown from the front porch of the house. The ring was lost somewhere from the front porch, in the front yard, on the road or in neighbor field and driveway. I first performed my search in the field then to the neighbor driveway, around the wood fence and metal electric poles. After after no luck there, then I searched the area between the road and where I started my search in the field. After a couple of swings later, there was the ring hiding in the grass. He was very happy to have the ring return to him (not picture). See the picture of myself holding the ring.

Cape Cod – Ring 3 of 3 return in one day 8/23/17! Gold Wedding Band

  • from Cape Cod (Massachusetts, United States)

Joe had a wonderful wife until his wedding band went missing at a Dennis, MA beach. Heck it is only a ring, nothing to get too overwhelmed about, it can be replaced. NO, we will get it back, what else would a wonderful wife and mother of two beautiful children do but to get in touch with TheRingFinders and have her husband’s ring returned.

The first night’s search came and went without the desired results. A bit of confusion on my part about not asking more about the location. I thought I know were I was told the loss took place, but there were three paths through the dunes. After searching by the first path I had a doubt that I was at the right one so I moved to the second and after the same results — onto the third. Again no ring. Back at the car where I called for more information…Yes, the first path was the correct one, but the ring may be in the water.

I was glad to head toward the water as the sand was being blown so hard as to sting my bare legs. Unfortunately my search down the slope of the beach and into the wind blown waves also did not reveal the rings hiding place. The next afternoon after finding and returning Meg’s Yale ring I headed back to search further out into the water. This time success was on my side and I found the size 13 ring.

While detecting I noticed a couple hundred people gathering about 150 yards down the beach…what were they doing? Something you usually see only the TV…releasing a sea turtle. Another highlight of my day.
Back to Joe. After waiting for the turtle watchers single file out of the parking lot I left, got home and called Joe, no answer, message left.
Next I had to make was to Keith’s father-in-law who had called 6 minutes before I arrived home. After leaving the message for Joe to call so we could arrange the ring’s return I left for Hyannis. Read my next blog about Keith’s story.

Back home I called Joe again, made arraignments to return the ring. Surprise! Carolyn was now the MOST WONDERFUL wife! The ring’s physical return was made the next morning. Of course smiles were present on all five of our faces, and if any white dust is seen in the photo it is left over Dunkin Donuts treats. Yes a wonderful and sweet, happy ending for all.

Lost ring at Ocean Beach found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Marcio was at Ocean Beach with his wife and child having a nice day in the sun when the outlook changed. He had been building sand castles, washed the sand off the toys in the surf, and went in for a short dip. After all this fun, he realized his wedding ring was missing. He does an online search and contacted me for help. Even though the tide was coming in and approaching the evening high, I agreed to meet them and get an idea of where the ring may have been lost, do a preliminary search, and maybe get lucky with a quick recovery. Oh well, that wasn’t to be. I searched all the dry sand around where they were camped out for the day and also hit the slope heading down to the water. The tide and surf was up on this steep section of beach and had a nasty shore break, so, a water search at this time would have been pointless. I told Marcio that I would return in the early morning hours to take advantage of the minus low tide at that time. Fast forward to 12:30am when I arrived at the beach. I started a grid from dry sand to knee deep water, and at 1:10am got the signal I was waiting for. I texted Marcio with the good news and connected with him later that day for the return. Great to meet you folks and thank you for the reward.

Lost gold ring found back in May near Reading

I recovered this gold ring after and extensive search of a garden near Reading, the compost pile had been scanned along with all the beds and under every bush etc. At first I hit a signal but it was too deep but I had to investigate as you do. This was a real bonus as out popped a lovely silver ring the the gents wife was very fond of so she kept it. Sorry but no pictures for this one.

A few hours later while searching in the vegetable patch I found the rather large gold ring! A very happy Professor!

Rings found at Mission Beach

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Maureen and her two friends were visiting Mission Beach from much hotter Las Vegas, when her engagement and wedding rings ended up in the dry sand. You’ve heard the tail of woe many times before…..blanket, rings removed, sunscreen, forgot, stood up…..rings disappeared from sight. The hardest part about this search was just getting there, finding parking, and hiking to the spot on this Saturday afternoon during the summer. That took an hour for me and I’m only 12 miles away from the beach! Had to park about a mile away and hoof it to where they were waiting. I got the lowdown on how they were lost and the small search area was cleared of their belongings. Two passes and that area was clean of targets…..hmm….ok, please move your belongings again and I’ll search under them. Sure enough, got a nice 12-14 signal right under their bags with my trusty E-trac. I asked Maureen’s friend Crystal if she would like to do the honors of reaching into the sand right in front of my coil and pull the ring out. She dove into the sand and sifted sand through her fingers and no ring. What? I has to be there! She tried again and came up with a zipper pull. Wonderful…..make me look like a goof why don’t you! Another swing or two and another great 12-14 sound. Ok, this has to be it this time. Sure enough Crystal was able to sift the wayward engagement ring into her hand. One more swing with the coil and a repeat of the first ring. A happy Maureen and her friends will have a much more pleasant drive back to Nevada. A pleasure meeting you three and thank you for the reward.

Lost 1980 Texas Aggie Ring (found) by Chris Dean TRF, Kerrville, Texas

  • from Kerrville (Texas, United States)

Jeffrey lost his Texas Aggie class ring renovating a 1940’s house. When he searched the web for Metal Detector Kerrville, he was surprised to find the first source was TheRingFinders.com. Jeffrey called me and said he knew he was wearing his ring en-route to the house and felt sure he lost it in the yard while there. On arrival at the house I realized this might be a daunting task as reconstruction was in full swing – building debris, roofing materials, and plenty of workmen everywhere! Jeffrey explained to me what he was doing and the approximate paths he had taken the day the ring slipped off his finger. I was able to search the perimeters of the property but due to the amount workmen around the house I had to return after hours.  Upon return in the evening with my Garrett AT Pro, I was able to detect (along with a lot of roofing nails) Jeffrey’s Gold Ring buried below the surface near where the debris trailer had been. It had certainly been stepped on many times. I called Jeffrey and asked him to describe his ring and then I told him “I found it”. He exclaimed “OMG, I Love You” and then said ” I don’t really love you but I love you!” It’s amazing what people say when you tell them you found their lost ring and even more amazing seeing the smile on their face when you return it, which I was able to the next day.
