Lost Engagement / Wedding Rings Found Metal detecting Lake Minnesota

  • from Twin Cities Metro (Minnesota, United States)

Noelle & Kevin called me about Noelle’s lost wedding band and engagement ring. They were visiting relatives on a lake in Minnesota. It was a very hot day and they decided to take a swim off the dock. Noelle took her rings off and left them with her shoes and towels on the dock. While they were swimming, their dogs were playing on the dock and knocked the rings into the water. They searched to no avail and decided to google “lost rings” to see if anyone could help. Google came up with the theringfinders.com and they gave me a call. It had to be a quick turn around as they were only visiting for a couple days and were leaving soon. I switched a few plans around and headed up to the lake. It was a really quick search, I think I spent only 1 minute underwater before finding both rings.

Congrats Noelle, truly glad I could help. Both Kevin & Noelle were very gracious and very helpful. Hopes and prayers for a long & happy life together.

Take Care,

Darrin ~

Lost Gold Wedding Band Recovered In Pasadena, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

It’s been a while since I’ve been contacted by someone in distress after losing something precious to them. That changed on Friday, May 7th when I received a call from Tim. He was out digging a trench to run electric to his shed when he realized his wedding band was missing. Here is how things went down in Tim’s own words.

“It was a Friday evening when I realized I lost my wedding band while digging a trench in my backyard earlier in the day.  My first thought was to rush out and buy a metal detector.  I did some quick research and realized  I had no experience. I would be lucky to find anything. After doing some more internet searches, I found Ring Finders.  At 9 o’clock at night I sent a text to Jim Wagner.  Little did I know he was close by.  He answered me right away and committed to showing up at my house at 7:30 the next morning.  He told me that if the ring was outside, he would find it.  True to his word, Jim was at my house at 7:30 with a smile and full of understanding. He started at one end of the trench and worked toward the other end while I nervously watched. He found my ring within 15 minutes.  Jim is a talented individual and it was a pleasure meeting him. I can’t thank him enough.”

Lost ring in Spanish Fork: Found

This is another remarkable story. Courtney and Dave wanted to learn the metal detecting hobby, so they invited me to their old family homestead in Spanish Fork, Utah. The family has lived on that land for over 100 years. I brought extra metal detectors for them, and we started searching to see if we could find any relics. The first good find was an old silver dime, but then I found an old, antique ring. It had two rubies and three elephants, each with a tiny diamond eye, and it looked like it had been made in India. It was gold-plated silver, and it looked like it had been in the ground for maybe 100 years. Inside the ring were the initials “EJ”. After a little looking on FamilySearch.org we learned that Courtney’s great-grandmother’s name was Eleanor Jane. This must have been her ring! I’m sure that Eleanor would be happy to know that after being lost for four generations, her ring has been found, and is now a treasured family heirloom.

Lost Wedding Ring Found 1 Year Later In Lincoln, NB

  • from Fredericton (New Brunswick, Canada)

Happy Owner

There’s the ring.

I received a call from  about his wedding ring he lost while out hunting with his son. In the congratulating his son on his first deer, the ring came off of his finger and flew into the woods. They searched for it at the time and then came back on a couple of occasions to see if he could find it, but was never able to locate it. He finally found me online and called, we met up and in a drenching downpourI followed him back into the area he had lost it. I searched the primary area then moved to the expanding search around the perimeter, finally locating it after about a 1/2 hr. He was very relieved to have it back on his finger after a year and said his wife would be equally pleased for the symbol of their marriage to be back in place. Thanks for the reward, and glad to see it back where it belongs.

Peek-a-boo

The Target

So I got a call for a lost wedding ring. The gentleman was weeding his raised bed gardens in the fall to prepare them for replanting. At the end of the day, after discovering the missing ring he figured that on one of the many trips to throw the handfuls of weeds into the woods, his wedding ring joined them on the flight. He proceeded to search the many weed piles on the forest floor, with no luck. He even borrowed a metal detector, which made lots of noise and gave him exercise but no wedding ring. He then found me online and called and we arranged a time to meet/search. I arrived, got the whole story and saw the search areas. I then laid out and started my search, with the highest likely areas of loss first. After searching all the gardens, weed throw areas, paths to and from, and possible areas of other outdoor chores and coming up empty, it was time to expand the search area. After a 1/2 hr and 8ft outside te original search area, I heard the tone that I was looking for, and after moving some grass aside there was a lovely circle of gold looking back at me. I pulled a surprise reveal by asking him to see his wife’s matching ring to remind me what I was looking for, and when he showed it to me I said “You’re right it does look exactly like yours”, and placed his ring beside her ring in my hand. A confused look came over him followed by a wave of realization and his eyes welled up and as he started thanking me. That reaction was all the thanks I needed.

Lost Heirloom Diamond Ring Recovered in Sunny Isles Beach, FL

  • from Stinson Beach (California, United States)

I was just beginning my day when I received a call from Mousha – she had lost her precious heirloom diamond ring the previous day on the beach after getting tumbled by the waves at the shoreline. I dressed in my warm swimming gear and biked to her location at the nearby lifeguard tower.

She had a very good description of where she had been sitting, swimming, and approximately where she was when the waves got a little rough. Her brother helped her estimate about how far away she had been from their sitting location when she was in the water. That description was incredibly helpful for coming up with a search plan.

I started with a W pattern along the high tide line down to the churn line first. Because the tide was moving out, I planned to move further into the water if nothing could be found in the wet sand. Fortunately, about an hour into the wet sand search, my CTX 3030 came back with a very solid signal.

I scooped about 8 inches of sand which contained the target. Then I was thrilled to see an exciting ring shape on its side just as she described! I grabbed my gear, marked the spot in the sand and ran back to join her near the guard tower. She couldn’t miss the huge smile on my face as I had her describe it one more time…then I revealed it to her.

That moment – the moment when I see someone’s face light up – is what it’s all about for me. That item had so much meaning to her, it’s not just a valuable ring, it’s a piece of her life and heart. I loved hearing her describe the meaning. She had designed the ring herself using scrap pieces of gold and diamonds that belonged to her mother and grandmother.

She later shared that she had no hope of finding it, and that she felt like a part of her heart was drifting in the ocean. Now she has this connection to her mother and grandmother back with her where it belongs. I’m very glad that she found Ring Finders and decided to take a chance and give me a call!

Wedding band lost while putting away Christmas decorations, found with metal detector.

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I received an email from Rob on a Tuesday stating he lost his wedding band while taking down his  Christmas decorations. He was devastated as the ring was his grandfathers who had passed away a couple months before Rob was born. Robs mother had given the ring to Rob when he proposed to his wife. The ring was the only item and memory he had of his grandfather. We had to wait until Saturday before I was available to search. I arrived on a very cold and windy Saturday morning and began searching the front yard as well as under the bushes in the flower beds. I searched for two hours without luck.

Rob came over to me as I was still searching and told me to give up as I had searched the entire yard twice. I told him, if it’s in this yard, I’ll find it. Just as I said that, I simultaneously began to move my detector and got a good hit as well as I saw something shiny in the grass. There was the ring sticking out from under a leaf. We could not believe we were standing over the ring and about to give up when I found it. His wife ran over to us and began to cry with excitement. I love being able to reunite lost jewelry to its owners.

Don’t wait or hesitate to call me at 610-207-8677, so I can find your lost treasure with my metal detecting service.

LOST WEDDING BAND IN HACKBERRY , LA. – FOUND

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

John was from out of state, working to restore services to the Lake Charles area after the destruction of hurricane Laura. He was sweeping dried mud out of his truck seat when his white gold wedding band flew off his finger. He heard it hit some hurricane debris and before heading to parts unknown in the road ditch. He and a couple of fellow workers moved some of the trash and hand searched the area, No luck. He called Carrie and I the next day for help. Within 2 hours we were on site hunting. Since John had left his own metal detector back home, I lent him mine. After hunting for a few minutes he needed to head back to work and I started hunting. Within an hour, Carrie got a good signal in a thick clump of grass. Neither of us could see the source , so I had to cut and pull some blades of grass from the clump. We both got a visual at the same time. We messaged a picture of the ring to John and soon saw him drive up. Two people had checked that same clump the day before and had not seen the ring. Lots of smiles followed.

Thanks, John, for that generous reward.
