I was awakened this morning at 6:30 AM by a call from Jason, asking if I would be available to look for a lost ring. I began asking questions, and found out that the ring was lost the night before. It was his partner Angela’s ring. I then asked if the sand was smoothed out from the beach cleaning machines, and he told me that the machine did not go through the area they were in. I asked if he was sure, and he told me he was, because they had been on the beach through the night searching for the ring, he said it was very special to Angela. I asked, the whole night? He affirmed his statement, in which realizing it meant a lot to her, I jumped into my clothes, shaved and brushed my teeth, and was on my way.

When I got there Jason had me rouse Angela who had been resting in her car after a long hard night, and we walked out to where he was. I could see the sand of the whole beach smoothed over like a person dragged a 2×4 over the sand, and was a bit disheartened, until I got to where Jason was standing. I could see that the tractors were forced to go around the area in question, which gave me a vision of Jason facing down the County tractor like the lone man in Tiananmen Square facing down a tank. The area in question was not touched by the machines. It took about 5 minutes to find Angela’s ring which surprised them because they had spent so many hours looking for it. I found out that Angela’s late father, had designed and made the ring for her, and gave it to her before he passed away. I understood why she did not want to leave the site without her ring, it is priceless. She was so very happy and thankful, and I was happy to be able to help. What an awesome morning indeed!

Thomas called yesterday. He had been shaking out his clothes at the beach, when his ring slipped off of his finger and into the sand. It was gone immediately, and his search for it was futile. He had not left the area, so I told him I would be there as soon as I could.

When I arrived, Thomas was there waiting for me, and showed me what had happened. The area was not big, but there was a ton of metal in the sand which caused me to dig a lot of targets to be sure not to miss his ring. I worked the most likely area, digging everything that sounded possible, but his ring did not show up. I then started on the other side and received a good tone. It sounded so good in relation to the other tones I had been receiving that I told Thomas that this might just be his ring. I scooped the sand, shook it out, and in the scoop was a nice silver colored ring. I lifted it out and Thomas was amazed, it was his ring! He was so very happy to have his ring back, having only been married for 9 months. I feel very fortunate to be able to create such a smile. Fun day!

Lost ring in the sand, Ponce Inlet, Fl…..Found and Returned!

Dom and his girlfriend were spending a warm summer day at the beach near Ponce Inlet, Florida, basking in the hot sun and swimming in the cool Atlantic waters. His girlfriend had taken her heirloom ring off and set it in the cupholder of her beach chair and soon forgot all about it. As high tide approached it was time to go and they gathered up their chairs, tent and other belongings and loaded up the truck and yes you guessed it, the ring fell into the soft sand and disappeared! They soon remembered the ring and returned to their parking spot on the beach and scoured the sand but realized the impossible task of finding such a small item in so soft of sand. For the next day and a half they agonized over the loss and that prompted a Google search which led them to theringfinders.com!

I assured Dom that I would come out and look for their ring and would search the following day as well if I was unable to find it on my first try.

We met the next day and as Dom tried to remember exactly where he had parked his truck, I began to grid search a large area hoping to come across his girlfriends lost ring. My new Whites TDI Beach Hunter was running smooth and hitting deep targets so I felt confident that if I went over the ring it would give a good signal and sure enough, an hour into the search, there in the sand was the lost opal and white gold ring waiting to be retrieved! The relief on Dom’s face was priceless and I was reminded again of why I love this service so much! It was an honor to help Dom and I am thankful to God for allowing me to find and return his girl friends lost ring!

Custom Platinum Wedding Ring With Diamonds Lost at the Beach in Playa Del Rey, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

Mark called me about the loss of his wedding ring. He was visiting with friends on the beach, and throwing a football around, when going for a catch, he felt his ring fly off. It had happened earlier that day, so the possibilities of a recovery were high. I told him I would be there as soon as I could get there, and left immediately.

When I got there Mark met me, and took me to the area of the loss. He showed me what had happened, and where he believed the ring may have gone. I began my grid, and worked my way in the direction of the possible loss. I worked out about 8 passes with no ring, and decided to start working in the opposite direction. After 2 passes I received a good tone in the headphones. I scooped the sand, and in my scoop was one of the coolest looking wedding rings I have recovered. Mark and his wife have had these identical custom rings for 25 years, so this loss had great sentimental implications. I was able to give Mark his ring back, which really made his day. We were standing around talking after the recovery, when the 7.1 earthquake hit Southern California, and we felt like we were rocking and rolling, which made this recovery a very memorable event!

Cartier White Gold With Diamonds Love Bracelet Lost in the Sands of Zuma Beach on 4th of July…found and Joyously Returned.

I received a call from Laura on 4th of July. She had lost her Cartier bracelet in the sand while playing with her children, and was distressed. I let her know that I would be there as soon as I could get there, I just asked that she would stay in order to help me locate the possible area of the loss.

When I got there Laura met me and showed me the area they had been playing in. She said the closure on the bracelet wasn’t functioning properly, and that is why it came off. I began my search, and after about 4 passes, pulled up the bracelet out of the sand. I was able to give her bracelet back, and received a big hug from Laura. She told me that her mother had given the bracelet to her, and she wanted to be able to give it to her daughter later on. It was nice to be able to reunite her with this family heirloom! Truly a wonderful 4th of July!

Yael called explaining that she had lost the ring her mother had given her, in the sand at the beach. She had taken it off, and put it on the blanket they laid out, but forgetting that she had put the ring on the blanket, she picked the blanket up and shook it out. At that point it was too late, the ring was gone. I let her know I would be there as soon as possible, because they were still there, and possibility of a recovery was good.

When I got to the area Yael showed me what had happened, and the possible vicinity of the lost ring. I got my detector ready, and decided to start at the outer part of the perimeter. I turned my machine on, took two swings, got the tone, put the scoop in, and within 10 seconds was able to hand Yael her ring back. It doesn’t always happen like that, but I just happened to chose the right place to start. Needless to say Yael was overjoyed to have her precious ring back again. I was so happy to have been able to be able to give back something she thought was lost forever. Really a great day!

Tuesday evening David was working in his yard cleaning up and stuffing branches and sticks into one of his garbage containers when he felt his wedding ring slip off of his finger. He was not sure if it fell into the container or into the grass somewhere. He desperately searched all over thinking surely he could find it and then frustration and darkness brought his search to an end. Here is David’s account of what took place.

“A Huge Thank You to Mike from The Ring Finders! My wedding ring fell off while I was collecting debris from my yard at sunset. We searched everywhere for it and couldn’t find it in the grass. I was so frustrated and upset. After a quick Google search I read some great stories about Mike and how he has helped so many other families find their lost treasures so I decided to give him a call. He came to my house at 7am the next morning and took less than 5 minutes to find my lost ring for me. Thank you Mike!”

Lost ring Cape May, NJ FOUND!

Received a call from Mike yesterday (7/2/19) afternoon. Mike had lost his wedding band in the surf a few days ago. Needed to wait for low tide which wasn’t until 3:30 am this morning, decided to go for the early am tide as the crowds for the afternoon low were going to be heavy. Took a ride over this morning and picked the ring in a few minutes. It was reunited with its (newly wed) owner this morning. Client unavailable for photo.

4 Lost Rings In One Night! – FOUND! – Pensacola Beach

Last night was definitely a first for me. I got a call at 8:45 from Kerem telling me that his wife Kara had lost her ring on Pensacola Beach earlier in the afternoon. They are over here from Texas celebrating the week of Independence Day and this was definitely throwing a kink in the festivities. I started asking a few questions and quickly realized that this was not one ring but three separate rings and all they knew was they had been lost somewhere between the parking lot and the water. 😳I almost bowed out but I’m sentimental about wedding rings and when Kerem also explained that one of the rings was a silver and diamond band from Kara’s grandmother, I knew I had to go. An hour later I was at the beach meeting my new friends and listening as they excitedly tried to tell me where to start. I suggested that they let me ask them a few questions and moments later Kerem and I were headed down towards the water while Kara promised to follow after a quick  phone call home. Kerem had marked where they had been sitting and based on our talk, I thought that would be the best place to start. When I got to the mark I could see all the digging marks where they had been trying to find them earlier and I started to do a spiral pattern. I didn’t go five feet before I had a strong gold signal in my headphones and scooped up a small solid gold band. Kerem had turned to look at something else and didn’t see me do it in the dark so I got his attention and said, “is it ok to start with this one?” and I opened up my hand to show him the ring. Kerem absolutely freaked out and yelled “You just found my wife’s wedding band!” He literally picked me up hugging me. 😄  I quickly got back to it and didn’t even get a full swing in before I got the next signal. Kerem dropped down to his knees to watch as I unearthed a gorgeous diamond engagement ring. All that was left was the silver ring that belonged to Kara’s grandmother. I only had to make a few more passes and about 3 feet away I got another tone. In less than about 3 minutes a very happy Kerem and I were headed back to the parking lot with all 3 rings in my hand. When we got back to Kara we had a little fun with her saying we didn’t want to get started without her and she hurriedly started towards the beach. When I told her that I would save her the walk and opened my hand, the tears and the hugs started immediately. Kara put the rings on and when I told her that I still needed a picture, she took them off and immediately dropped one in the parking lot. I told them both to freeze so they wouldn’t step on it and got down on my knees with my light. I saw the little gold band underneath the car and handed it back to her. She exclaimed that she was still missing one and Kerem told her that she had all three. She quickly told us both that she had lost four and not three rings and Kerem had told me wrong. To make matters worse, it was still the Grandmother’s silver ring that was still missing and Kara promptly burst into tears again. I reassured her that I could find the spot on the beach again and we double-timed it back down to the beach. Luckily once we found the spot, it only took about another minute and I was able to hear a high tone indicating silver. I reached down and sifted through the sand and pulled out a beautiful little ring. In the light of my headlamp I could clearly see the 925 stamp for silver and Kerem and I were able to give back the fourth and final ring to Kara. Even though the actual search time wasn’t that long, I’ve never experienced the emotional roller coaster that this hunt was and I have certainly never found four different rings for someone in a night before. Kara and Kerem, y’all are awesome people and I’m so glad you gave me a call to come help. Keep those rings where they belong.  😃💍

When Matt called me I could tell by his voice he was a bit concerned about a special ring he had lost earlier that day! Here is the story in Matts own words. “Mike with The Ring Finders saved my vacation! While playing volleyball with my wife and two young sons, my college ring slipped off my finger and fell into the sand of the volleyball court. My heart immediately sank. As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, our Aggie rings are sacred and my first thought was that I would never see my ring again. I searched for over an hour with no luck and after a brief Google search, my wife suggested calling The Ring Finders. After speaking with Mike, I was immediately put at ease. He was genuinely sympathetic and concerned and let me know he would be there as soon as he could. When he arrived he let me know that he felt good about finding my ring and more importantly told me that he and his family had been praying for the successful recovery of my lost ring! As a follower of Jesus Christ, this both gave me comfort and reiterated to me that I had made the right choice in calling Mike. After a brief search Mike recovered my lost ring and saved the day and our trip! The entire experience with Mike was fantastic! I can’t say it enough, thank you for saving the day and God bless!
