Lost Key Saved in Alexandria Louisiana

Livy W. and her friend were visiting a local park here from out-of-state, and had been searching for a lost key for an hour with a rented metal detector. They had given up the hunt when they saw me on the opposite hill, out hunting in the afternoon as my usual.

I waved and said jokingly, ‘No need to look any more, I already found everything.’ She then related the story of her lost item, and was elated to hear that I regularly locate lost things for people. As I was very familiar with this park, I was certain I could help.

After a couple minutes of introduction and information gathered, what kind of key, how big it is, what were the circumstances of it becoming lost, etc… I began the grid search on the hillside on which she had playfully rolled, losing her key in the process.

In about 3 minutes I was able to get a definite tell-tale signal on my Equinox, and I motioned for her to come over. ‘I think you’re going to be pleased with this,’ I told her.

She was all smiles and relief when she pulled her key out of the 2-inch long grass. Another successful recovery!

Lost White Gold Ring Found In Canton Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Bagged It!

This nice gentleman was out raking and bagging leaves in the balmy temperatures yesterday when his ring came off. Borrowing a toy type detector he searched the small area of grass where he thought it was to no avail. On site it was indeed a small area. Setting up my MXT metal detector and scanning only took about 3 minutes and along with checking the mulch beds produced no ring. I asked how many bags of leaves did he fill, he said two and most came from the backyard. Scanning all the sides of each bag the detector whispered the ring is in this one. I said it’s in this bag, he said we searched the bags and didn’t find anything. As I tipped the bag to start emptying it I heard the lovely tone of a gold ring on concrete! He reached down in amazement, picked up his ring and holding it up he said I bagged it! I said yes lol I’m glad you bagged it and my detector and I are happy to have bagged it too!

*** When Jenn called me for help to find a lost rose gold ring in the sand at Bolsa Chica State Beach I assumed it was going to be an easy search. Usually, if the people haven’t left the beach it can be a quick recovery. Most important is to get to the location before they leave.

I met Jenn and her husband Eric shortly after talking to Jenn on the phone. After discussing the loss of Eric’s rose gold ring, I knew this was going to take some time. They had been at the beach for more than 4 hours and Eric had not felt the ring come off his finger. To top it off he had been in the ocean. Most the time was spent on the dry sand near their blanket and umbrella. Then he had helped build a sand castle half way between the upper towel line and the water.

I did a quick swing over the blanket area then went into the water to waist deep water while the tide was low. Next I jumped over to the area around the sand castle project. No Find! After the concentrating on the most likely spots i began a tight grid search to and from the damp sand to the incoming water line.

Bingo! The ring was found after more than an hour of thorough searching in the wet sand. It was a large search area but I only had to do less than I expected to grid search. Nobody that was there would have guessed that the ring would be where it was found.

Lost Silver Precious Necklace at Queen’s Beach Waikiki…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This necklace hunt started when ring finder Don Bryant referred me to Jen as the Waikiki Metal Detectorist to request services from. Jen who is from Cincinnati Ohio working for a local First Aid & Safety company texted me that she lost her necklace after safely placing the necklace her father gave her into a beach bag. Her guess is that at some point while removing items from her bag the necklace slipped out into the sand and disappeared. She went back the next day to search but the necklace was no where to be seen. We agreed to meet at the beach Tuesday after work and see if the necklace could still be there. Jen walked me down to Queen’s Beach where she lost the necklace and I had her draw a grid in the sand where she thought it could be. I started the search as Jen was talking to a gentleman on the beach. He asked her what we were looking for as I was digging my first target and then exclaimed, “Look he found a necklace as it was dangling from my scoop.” Jen looked over in disbelief and said, “Oh my gosh you found it” Nice grid draw Jen you made this 15 second first target search successful. Wish they could all be this easy. Aloha to Jen!

Lost class ring recovered and returned after 15 years lost at Wrightsville Beach NC

Hello I was out detecting this past weekend at to beach and detecting in the surf and water at night. It was around 3:29 AM when I got a good signal in the water. I investigated and recovered the target. What i found was a class ring from 1981. Now most people would just scrap the ring for it’s gold weight. But I decided to try and find the owner since it’s the right thing to do. After much research I was able to locate the owner two days later to return it. When I got in touch with her she was very happy to here I located the ring and explained that her daughter was wearing the ring 15 years ago when it was lost. She explained she thought the ring was lost forever and was almost in tears when she learned it was found after so long. I agreed to bring it to her since she only lived 45 minutes away from me. When I got there she was extremely happy to see her ring again. She also explained her father bought the class ring for her which is why it meant so much. I was very happy to return it to her and see the smile on her face. It’s always a pleasure when I can help someone. I am including pictures of the ring and her.

Lost Ring found in St. Francis, Minnesota

  • from Chisago City (Minnesota, United States)

Ring with shinny rim.

Dad with both rings and both Kids.

Following being contacted I went out to St. Francis MN. to help a young couple recover a lost wedding ring in tall marsh grass.  Doing some fall cleanup pulling weeds and cutting grass. It was during dumping the clippings in the into the compost pile that he noticed his ring was missing.  His ring fit a little loose and wanted to get to get it resized. After loosing the ring, not thinking it could be found he purchased a new smaller ring.  Meanwhile his wife contacted me and I mentioned that I could come out yet that night. I mentioned that I really don’t need much light, the detector will work just fine in the dark.  I have a headlight that is very bright that I use while working at night.  The area that the ring was last known was pointed out and the new identical ring was tested with the metal detector.  It took about 10-15 minutes to locate the ring. To tell you the truth the headlight played as much of a roll in locating the ring as the metal detector did.  I caught a good tone and the rim of the ring sparkled. I caught a glimmer at the same time the tone came over my headset.  It was nestled down under some tall bent- over grass.   If I were out during the day light I don’t know that I would have spotted it as well as I did.  I think it would have been hidden in the shadows. It was so nice to find it so quickly.  After some long searches its nice to get a couple that are quick.

When I went back up to the house I told them that the grass was a lot longer than I had anticipated. I could see his shoulders drop, you could see the disappointment. I then put my hand out with the ring and you could again see a complete turn of excitement and jubilation.  You found it… It never gets old showing the found rings. With his young kids in his arms he slipped it on a finger for a quick photo.  A story that will be able to be told with a happy ending.

**** Two friends had been enjoying their first outing on Huntington City Beach after months of being at home during this virus lockdown. They buried their keys in the sand under their towel and could not find them after returning from a walk on the beach.

Someone on the beach saw them frantically searching the sand. He recommended that they call TheRingFinders metal detecting specialists.

They called me and I was able to meet them shortly after receiving the call. I was able to find both sets of keys soon after they showed me a 30’x30’ location. After finding the keys I could understand the panic they were suffering, not only two separate car fob keys, they had other important keys that would be a lot of work to replace. It was a pleasure to help them. They were very appreciative of my help. That’s why I do key calls even though they can be difficult because they are often lost in large search areas.

Heirloom Yellow Gold Wedding Ring Lost in Yard Des Moines WA

SeattleRingHunter Lost Item Recovery Specialist LAND & SCUBA Call ASAP 206-618-8194

Amy called me asking for assistance in locating a lost gold wedding band. She had her late fathers wedding band and had been wearing it for a long time. It had become loose in the past year. She had previously lost the ring once before. She had rented a metal detector but later found the ring in a coat pocket. This second time she lost the ring she rented a metal detector a second time but got busy with other task and never really had a chance to search for her lost ring. When returning her ring the man at our local metal detection shop passed my card on to her for some extra help. When I arrived she had explained to me that she had some good thoughts that it was most likely lost while mowing her front lawn that day. She also told me she had some wrist braces on her right hand that had a bit of material that wrapped around her thumb where she wore her father’s gold wedding band. She knew the ring was loose fitting and suspected it was some where in the yard.

After ten minutes of searching we recovered her fathers ring after having been in the yard for the past six months. The ring survived several lawn mowings and was recovered undamaged in good condition.

Watch this story as the ring is recovered and returned to Miss Amy where its story will continue in the memory of her beloved father.

Cheers,

Jeff Morgan

Newlywed’s Ring found on Narragansett RI Town Beach

  • from Woonsocket (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

On Sunday, October 18, 2020, Matt and his wife were married on beautiful Narragansett town beach, followed by a celebration in the North Beach Club House.  At some point after the ceremony, they noticed that Matt’s wedding band had slipped off.  Friends and family  helped  search the beach and the Club House.  Guests even got a rake to search the sand and tried using a metal detector as well.  Unfortunately, these efforts only caused the ring to sink deeper in the sand.  They decided to search the internet for help and found TheRingFinders.com website.  On Monday, Matt sent me a text message asking for my help.  As soon as I got his message, I contacted Matt to let him know that I was on my way to search for his lost wedding band.  That’s when Matt told me that the wedding band had been handed down to him by his late grandfather.  Matt and his wife live in Cambridge, MA, and were unable to meet me at the beach, so they provided photos of the two areas where they thought the ring might be.  I started my search closest to the water, and in ten minutes I found Matt’s ring about 8 inches deep in the sand.  I called him with the good news.  We met that evening, and he was thrilled to have his ring back.
