Lost Mens Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band Found At Cape Henlopen State Park In Lewes, Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 05/14/18, I received a text message as well as an email from Adam regarding the loss of his Tungsten Carbide Mens Wedding Band At Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, Delaware. Adam said that he had been camping over the weekend with his cub scout pack at the State Park and on Saturday 05/12/18 he had lost his wedding band. Adam said that he had been sitting when he took his ring off and placed it in his lap. Adam said that he stood up forgetting that his ring was in his lap and that it was lost in the sand. Adam also sent me a detailed map of the area of the lost ring. I called Adam at which time I told him that I would look for his ring for him and would let him know if I was able to locate it. I then responded to the location of the lost ring and began a grid search for it. After about five minutes of searching Adams lost ring was located and recovered. I took a picture of the ring in the sand and sent it to Adam by text. I asked Adam if the ring looked familiar he said “yes” and identified it as his lost ring. I then mailed the ring back to Adam which he received about a day later. Below is an email sent to me by Adam the day after he had gotten his ring safely returned.

Hi Alan,

I can’t thank you enough for finding my wedding ring. I thought I would never see it again when I left Cape Henlopen on Sunday. When I got to work on Monday I felt I needed to at least make a call to the park office and report I lost it, not that I expected anyone to ever find it, let alone turn it in. I can’t remember the exact search terms I used when I was searching for the park office website, but I came across one of your posts on theringfinders.com. After reading through a few more posts I felt there was a pretty good chance you could find it, if no one else had stumbled upon it in the meantime. An email, a text message, a phone call and a few hours later you found my ring. I thought, wow, that was too easy. Well, you are obviously good at what you do and I wish I had known about the website sooner. I will be sure to share my experience and promote the website, a true “ring” saver!

Attached is a picture you can use for the website.

Thanks again and happy hunting!

– Adam

Lost wedding set at Pacific Beach found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Alyssa called me 5 minutes after my request for help in Coronado. She had lost her wedding ring/engagement combo in the dry sand somewhere in a 20 foot radius around where she was sitting. She was also visiting from out of town (MN) and was leaving the next day. After my successful recovery in Coronado, I headed to Pacific Beach with high hopes. Parking was virtually non-existent down by the beach, so, I parked a good 1/2 mile away and hiked to the site with my gear. She was waiting for me right at the search area and I started a grid search. On the first pass, I found a dime, a piece of trash, and then her rings. A happy Alyssa can now head home happy she doesn’t have to explain to her husband how she lost her rings here in San Diego! Thank you for the reward.

LOST DIAMOND RING FOUND WAIKIKI

  • from Waikīkī Beach (Hawaii, United States)

On 5/7/18 I was out on the North Shore at 5:00 AM preparing to look for a lost men’s wedding ring and it was still dark. As I’m getting ready I look online and saw a lost wedding ring posted on Craigslist on the opposite side of the island and decide to respond to the ad to offer my help. As the sun started to rise while I was on the North Shore I notice that the waves coming up and looked too risky to put my metal detector in the water next to all the reef and to look for the ring in the high surf conditions. I decide to text Faith and see if we would be able to meet up to search for the ring she posted about on Craigslist. She and I decided to meet at the beach.  She told me that she had someone come out and look for it thoroughly for an hour and a half the day prior so if I was willing she would appreciate it. I decide to go over the searched area even though it was search previously  as “It’s always good to search for yourselves”  and sure enough after a few TRASHY items I noticed on my CTX3030 a solid reading of gold/Platinum! As I look in my scoop there it is and I think to myself thats a beauty. What do I tell Faith? How do I tell her as she is simmering around the beach and telling Uncle China (Known Surfer) about her lost ring. I shout to Faith ” Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER?” Faith responds, “huh?”  I say it again, “Do you wanna SMILE NOW or LATER?” Faith stops in her tracks and shouts “NO WAY KAI” with tears running down her face I hold up her beautiful ring. The onlookers and the guys that were with Uncle China gave a loud shout and exciting praise!!!  The ring which is so precious was back in the rightful hands and now able to pass down to the next generation. Precious items should be kept safe and I know this family heirloom will be kept safe and passed down for more years to come. Thank you and always have FAITH!

Lost Gold Wedding Band in Snow/Vancouver,BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

While sledding at a Vancouver park with his daughter, Chris lost his white gold wedding band. When I met Chris he was very certain that it was lost at the park and he even had a video of him sledding, at one point he was shaking his hands in the video and he felt that was the moment the ring must have come off. Watching the video, I too felt the same way as Chris did as he said the ring was very loose, shaking your hands like that would make the ring come off for sure.

After Chris showed me the area, he went to work, I started my search at the top of the hill. I worked my way grid searching north/south and after 30 minutes I found his 19k white gold wedding band. I feel just as happy as the person I find it for does…Very Happy!

Lost Platinum Wedding Recovered in Towson, Maryland!

  • from Baltimore (Maryland, United States)
Contact:

Early last month I was contacted by Rodney. I was able to help him recover his lost wedding band back in 2014. Unfortunately he was in need of my assistance once again. He had lost the same ring except this time it was lost in a different area and under different circumstances. The good news is we were once again successful in locating it! I’ll let Rodney tell you the story in his own words…..

It was a cold evening in December and I was attending a holiday party with family and friends.  I stepped outside to assist the host with some bags and in the process my wedding ring fell off into the snow in his front lawn.  I searched with flashlights that evening but was unable to locate the ring.  The next day I assumed we would have better luck and returned to my friend’s house to search for the ring as we knew it was in a very small area in the front lawn.  We crawled around the area digging and clawing for hours at the ground but were unsuccessful so I knew it was time to call in the experts.  I had used Jim’s service a few years back and was confident that if he could come out he would be able to locate the ring.  I reached out to Jim and we agreed to meet at the location a few days later.  When we arrived I explained the situation and the area where the ring was lost.  Jim got his metal detector out to begin to search.  Within a few minutes he was able to locate the ring within the area I showed him.  I am so thankful for Jim and his ability to assist with locating lost items.

Thanks Again Jim!

Wedding Band found in North Malibu

  • from Santa Monica (California, United States)

Mike Hall called me on a Saturday night. He was pretty frantic; the previous evening he was eating at a restaurant in north Malibu by Zuma Beach and playing with his son after dinner in the sand, and his wedding band came flying off. It was dark out, so they did a quick search, but came up empty handed. I moved some plans around and met him out there the next day, Sunday evening, after traffic died down. It still took about two & a half hours to make the 80 mile drive. I got there, and Mike and his family were nice enough to save a parking spot for me right next to the sand. I asked him to try his best to remember exactly where he was in the sand when he was playing with his son, in relation to the parking lot, trash cans, and surrounding in general. I took out my Whites Duo Field Pulse machine and started to grid the area. I was finding many trash targets like small nails and bottle caps, but after more guidance from Mike and his son, I was able to narrow down the search pattern to a strip at the back of the beach just parallel to the cars. It wasn’t long before I heard a loud repeatable signal that sounded promising. One scoop, and there was Mike’s ring. He was elated and the whole family was jumping for joy. He then shared the story of the significance of the ring’s history. The ring had been passed down for generations, from his great-grandfather, down to him. What really touched my heart, was that his young son who was there, asked his dad, “How can I get married someday, dad, if the ring isn’t there to be passed down to me?”

Troll Angry! Lost Gold Wedding Ring Found in Fremont… Seattle, Washington on Christmas!

  • from Seattle (Washington, United States)

This Christmas, under a bridge,  I battled a giant troll for a gold ring! When he was distracted by tourists taking selfies, I snatched a lost heirloom from under his gaze and returned it to its rightful owner!

A woman lost her mother’s wedding ring, inscribed with her father’s name, while throwing snowballs at the troll on Xmas eve. She was just visiting this state for the holiday, so it was crucial she find it before her flight out of Seattle. After renting a metal detector, searching and not having any luck, her friend found my name on Google. She called me Christmas morning and I was on the case in a couple hours.

Luckily after around half an hour of searching, I hit the target! Buried in the snow was her ring! I was super happy to help and I got out of there quick before the troll knew what had happened…

Gold ring snatched from the Troll!

Happy reunion!
