Matthew contacted me telling me he had just lost his wedding band over a patch of ivy and wanted to know if I could be of help locating it. He told me his family has a commercial sign business and while working a job in Lacey, WA with his father he lost his gold wedding ring. He told me he had recently been working out getting in fit as in a few months he would be off to the National Guard so the ring was now loose fitting. He also told me that his wedding anniversary was just a few weeks away and his wife was concerned about his missing wedding ring.

He remembered having the ring on while working and had become a bit concerned about it slipping off and then seemed to notice something was missing. Sure enough his ring had slipped off while working over the ivy.

Mathew and his father had spent over an hour poking through the ivy and could not locate his ring. At this point they knew they had to get someone with some experience involved. They did an internet search and found TheRingFinders.com and noticed my listing.

Matthew told me he was leaving town later that afternoon. I assured him and he agreed no one would randomly find his ring. I also informed him that I had availability later that same afternoon. I told him based on the information he provided I would head out and start the search and if needed I would contact him for any additional details as necessary. He agreed and the search effort was set in motion.

Watch the rest of the story of how Matthew’s gold wedding ring is recovered.

Cheers,

Jeff Morgan

“I FIND JEWELRY”  call Stan the Metal Detector Man if you need  help ..  949-500-2136

*** Don called the day after losing his ring possibly at a local Los Angeles County Beach. He didn’t know it was missing till he got home from the beach. He did know that he had placed it in his backpack while at the beach. After searching his car and house he only could think it may have come out of the backpack while pulling items out.

He told me he had run out of places to search. The only other possibility would be it fell out of the backpack while at the beach. We discussed our chances of finding the ring that has daily sifting machines and other recreational metal detectorists. I did tell him once I scanned the area I could tell him that there isn’t a ring there now.

We met that evening after all the beach goers had left the beach. Don showed me an area between the trash cans and the top of the last high tide. I chose to start in the middle grid searching parallel towards the water. After a ten or twelve passes Don wanted me to come back towards the trash cans. This happens often, but I told him I would move over to that other area as soon as I finished two more passes. Yep! Just before finishing to move to his new location. BOOM! Great sounding target and his ring in the scoop. If I would have moved when he wanted me to, it would have been another hour or more before I resumed the original search pattern.

Either way we both knew it was a long shot type search and it worked out well. The hard searches are so emotionally rewarding. That’s why I say I Will Try Anywhere. Even if the item isn’t found there is some type of satisfaction to know that the search was done with an experienced metal detectorist.

Lost Platinum Wedding Ring, Found in Bluemont, Virginia Woods

FOR LOST JEWELRY CALL RAY 571.528.7217 MyGoldFinder will recover your treasure!!

I received an email from Kaitlyn this week about a ring lost earlier this summer. She explained her husband had been doing some gardening on their property and was wearing his platinum wedding ring at the time.  After completing his days work he realized his ring was missing. Kaitlyn and her husband were frantic and even borrowed a friend’s metal detector in an attempt to locate the ring, unfortunately no luck. As the days went on they were somewhat resolved that the ring was gone, however after seeing the TheRingFinders website Kaitlyn decided to reach out to me. I arrived on Friday around 1:00 PM and searched in the areas of the large double wide garden where they believed the ring to be. After a few quick grids with no luck I moved the search quickly up the pathway to the house and around the garage, still no luck. I went back down to the garden area and decided to expand my search in towards the woods and in there a pile of dirt there she was!! Kaitlyn was so excited to see her husband’s ring again and plans on giving it back to him for their wedding anniversary next month.

Kaitlyn, I was so happy to be able to reunite you with your husband’s ring. Congratulations!

Gents Gold Wedding Band Lost & Found Near Old Harry Rocks Dorset

  • from Bournemouth (England, United Kingdom)

Michael, his wife & friends took a stroll one summers day to Old Harry. Finding some stones, Michael showed a young lad how they used to do ‘flint knapping’ taking off his ring & carefully placing it on a jacket. Later, he threw his jacket on & returned to the car only to realize “wheres my ring”?!

They returned to he long narrow stretch of almost featureless field & searched for over an hour with no success. When Michael called me I was sure it could be found but prepared for a lengthy search. However after just half an hour the CTX3030 suddenly roared gold & there it was- lying in about three inches of grass.

Michael & wife were thrilled to be reunited with it & made a donation to Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary when they returned from holiday.

Gents Gold Signet Ring Lost & Found Swanage Beach

  • from Bournemouth (England, United Kingdom)
Contact:

Chris & his girlfriend from Sussex were enjoying their time camping nearby & visited the beach one fine sunny day. Leaving his ring in his shoe for security he forgot it was in there & when he put his shoes on- out fell the ring and disappeared into the sand out of sight. The ring was a precious gift from his girlfriend & they both searched desperately to find it unfortunately to no avail. They called me at TheRingFinders.Com & I met them the same afternoon.

This was a straight forward recovery taking some 30 seconds but the gratitude shown was the same as those Ihave  searched  hours for. They were kind enough to make a donation to the Margaret Green Animal Sanctuary at Church Knowle the very next day .

If you lost your ring in the sand call  “Stan the Metal Detector Man” available now … 949-500-2136

**** Damir called me asking if I remembered finding an engagement ring he dropped in the sand three years ago. It was late at night when he was proposing to Ellie  That night we also had the help of a police officer who provided light while I found the ring for them.

Damir was at work. This time he asked if I could help his wife, Ellie find her white gold diamond wedding ring. She was at the beach with her mother and father in-laws. She would be able to wait an hour at the location till I could meet her.

After parking I started to call her cellphone when she walked up to me asking if I were here to help her find the ring.
We walked a couple blocks to the location on the beach. These are the most successful type calls. She knew the ring was on her finger when she arrived on the beach. She didn’t leave the area. She called for help without wasting time searching the sand. Her husband still had my contact information which also helped.

Now all we had to do was turn on the metal detector and begin a thorough search pattern. A few minutes later we had the small size #4 white gold with diamonds wedding ring recovered from the sand. Some metal detectors struggle when trying to detect small white gold /diamond rings, especially if the are in mineralized beach sand.

She was extremely relieved to have this very sentimental ring back where it belongs. It’s impossible to replace the original wedding ring. We had a good time reminiscing the first engagement ring find several years before.

Ring Finder Called Out To Find A Crop Lifter! In A 40 Acre Canola Field!! Flagstaff County, Alberta Canada

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)
Contact:

Neil called me to ask if I had a metal detector that could detect a piece of equipment that fell off his swather and ended up in a windrow on 40 acres of canola crop. His windrows were about six feet wide and roughly three feet high and I told him that I did have a metal detector that could possibly find it! I told Neil that this would be a great test for my detector and that I would do my best to find the crop lifter.

We both agreed to meet.  Neil told me he had to find that crop lifter before he could continue to combine his crop.  The first day we spent approximately five hours riding on a quad going at a snail pace down the windrow, Neil driving and me riding shotgun.  No luck.

Second day out;  No Luck.

Yesterday Neil called me again to see if I was able to come out today and try again because time is running out and he wants his crop in the bins. I told him I would be there around 9:30.  Neil told me I would be riding with his brother Owen this time.  Owen and I started out from where we last left off a few days back and after a couple of hours of going up and down five windrows,  bingo I found the crop lifter.   Owen was very happy and now he and Neil can continue to finish harvesting.

As you can see I’m always open to a challenge and believe me this one was a real challenge.  If that piece of equipment had been picked up by the combine that could have been one major expense and down time for them.

Thanks Neil and Owen! I had a great time ridding shotgun.

Ring Found In Water At Grand Haven City Beach, MI

  • from Holland (Michigan, United States)

I received a call this late afternoon from my hunting friend Gregg Larabel.  He had just received a lost ring call and they wanted to look for it tonight.  But since Gregg was busy I would have to go on this one by myself.  Phil and some family members rented a cottage for a few days at the beach.  Phil is originally from Lansing but now lives in Baton Rogue and now spending some time with his family on vacation.  They were playing catch in about chest-deep water when he caught the football with his left hand, and somehow his wedding ring went flying off his finger.  He(very cleverly) left his brother to mark the spot while he went to call for help.  I arrived about 7 PM and met his father and mother on the beach.  They pointed out Phil, who was in the water guarding the spot where the ring was lost.  After wading out and meeting Phil, he said his ring shouldn’t be more than 10 to 15ft from him, so he stayed in that spot and I hunted the area around him.  After about 20 minutes I got a good(GOLD)signal and called Phil over, telling him this should be it.  After a couple of scoops we had his beautiful 14K gold ring.  In checking it, I see their wedding date engraved inside the ring and guess what: their 1st wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks.  His smart moves in calling right away and carefully marking the spot made all the difference.  We not only saved good vacation memories but added a good note to their upcoming wedding anniversary.

LOST RING IN FAYETTEVILLE, NC…… FOUND!

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

Shawn SGT Sherrill – Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Call ASAP  Anytime 24/7   918-313-2202

I got a call on 9/14 around 7:30 from Shawn. He stated he was in his front yard playing with his daughter and as he was throwing things around and he’s ring flew off! He said he wasn’t sure where it landed. I told him I could be there on 9/15 and help him locate it.

When I got there the yard wasn’t very big, so it didn’t take me long (about 5-10 mins) to locate it and return it back to its owner.

After I located it, he proceeded to tell me they had just gotten married and they were leaving for the honeymoon the next day. He was happy that I saved the ring, his marriage and enabled him to enjoy his honeymoon all in one swing of my coil. I was very glad to help Shawn get out of the doghouse!
