This was my #11th gold ring (12th – 1 silver – overall) recovery/returned for the year!

Got a call a day after Mother’s Day.

This lady had lost her mothers ring on Mother’s Day while kayaking with her grandson.

She was enjoying the weather and spending time with her grandson when they suddenly hit some fast moving water and it took them into some downed tree branches. Shen she hit she flipped over and while trying to pop back up and ensure her grandson was safe, she felt this priceless family heirloom slip off into the fast moving water! She just knew it was gone forever. She turned to the internet in search for help. By doing so she found me, 2.5 hours away, and reached out in hopes that I could help her out.

It wasn’t until May 17th before we could connect and plan an attempt to recover this ring out of the fast moving water.

I got up and drove the 2.5 hour journey in hopes it would be a successful trip….

This is what happened… I get there at about 10:30 am, we walked the 400 yards to get to the rivers edge. There was a 10-15 foot embankment we had to gingerly ease down to the water. Once down then I had to walk up current in freezing cold 3 foot, fast moving water with my detector and a scoop while climbing over logs in the river against the current.

I finally get to the spot and quickly realized, I can’t use the scoop with all the gravel and current. I placed it into the downed tree and kept scanning. About 30 mins later I get a 14-15 VDI on the MX SPORT and I knew that was her ring, problem was I couldn’t get to it. It was under a down branch and the water was moving too fast.

I had to clean up the area and make a way to the spot, use goggles to peer in the water and hopefully see it laying there. BOOM, I could see it and was able to reach down and grab it!

I showed the lady and hooked it on my D-ring for safe keeping while we made it back to the bank to climb back up the 10-15 foot embankment. Once up top we were able to cheer and celebrate the successful recovery!

Lost Wedding Ring Returned in Calgary…..8 months later.

  • from Cochrane (Alberta, Canada)

May 14,2022

Samuel called me. He lost his wedding ring……8 months earlier while closing the gate at an RV storage lot. When it happened, he searched, rented a metal detector twice and returned to rake. He did everything anyone who has lost something should do. When I was speaking to him, I really had my doubts about it. Time is the enemy. In the end I agreed to take a look. On a Saturday morning I met Samuel and we looked.  Based on his description it should have been right there and he should have found it right away. With snow on the ground when it happened, we guessed that maybe a vehicle drove over it and moved it or maybe it was plowed. So I expanded the search area and did the sides of the road. That is when I heard the sound I needed to hear. I picked up the ring and gave it to Samuel. He was totally overwhelmed in emotion and incredibly grateful. When I took a look at the ring, I could tell why.  I am glad it is back where it belongs.

Lost Medallion in Lake swimming

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)

Having a awesome day playing with Kids in the lake, then Our client decided to swim some laps from pier to pier.  Just as he was getting out of the lake he realized his Gold Chain and Gold Maedallion which he always wore was gone.  This was a generational family gift passed down from great grandfather to grandfather to father to him.  He screamed and everyone got in the water dragging feet in the 4-6ft deep waters.  They spent hours looking for it until darkness set in.  In desperation he got on the internet thinking maybe he could rent a Underwater Metal Detector, in the process of the search he found us , Don & Ellen Wilson with Dallas Ring Finders.  Professional Metal Detectorists who also did underwater detecting.  Contacting me a 9:45pm on Mothers Day, we answered the call.  Set up a time to drive 3 hours to Jewett, Tx to search the lake 2 days later.  After nearly 2 hours of searching the area he thought it would be in we widen out our search grid and as I was bringing up my water scoop with a target I saw something gold in color flutter away back down into the lake.  I knew I had it, instantly I detected again and found the object, carefully scooping the item, I slowly raised the scoop to the Surface and there it was shinning like only gold can even in the middle of the muck and mud. After lots of yelling and whoops of happiness we got some great video and photos of another happy client.  Another Great Find for the Dallas Ring Finders.

Jared’s Fantastic 10 Karat White Gold Wedding Band Recovered by THE RING FINDER’S member, Brian Rudolph!

Jared Proudly Showing Off What Brian Rudolph Was Able to Accomplish in Recovering the Relieved Client’s Most Special Sentimental Keepsake!

How many people in the world do you think say this particular line: “I can’t find my ring”? It happens every minute, in every country around the world.

Call Item Recovery Specialist Brian Rudolph at (301) 466-8644! He Will Find Your Lost Keepsake in Any Environment: Land, Water, Sand, Cliffs, Snow, Leaves, Houses & Vehicles!

As sentimental, meaningful and lovely to look at, these little pieces of jewelry end up disappearing just about anywhere.

Most of the time, rings disappear outside during various types of physical activity. It also depends on the weather. If it’s very cold outside, there’s a strong possibility that the ring could slip off of a shrunken finger.

Maybe you lost a ring outside and you don’t know where it is. Check out this story and maybe it will help you with finding your lost precious keepsake.

Jared is another example of one who made that very famous statement mentioned above: “I can’t find my ring”. He looked everywhere for it and no matter how many times he went back to the places where he had been wearing his 10 karat white gold wedding band, all of his search efforts led to no avail.

Several weeks before I received a call from Jared requesting my help with finding is lost wedding band, the young man had been doing a lot of outdoor activities one weekend when he eventually noticed that his ring had disappeared off of his finger. He told me that he had been lawn mowing his Sterling, Virginia property, breaking up and bundling branches, weeding and attending to other gardening tasks.

At some point Jared went off mountain biking on a park trail not far from his residence. Little did he know that he would crash his bike as he was nearing a cable that was stretched across a trail entrance. There were no flags on the cable warning cyclists of the danger ahead and he just didn’t see what he was about to run right into.

Luckily, Jared was able to maneuver his two wheeler in such a way that he avoided hitting the cable and thankfully he only suffered minor injuries in the process. When my client realized that his wedding band was missing off of his finger sometime the next day, Jared wondered if his bike accident may have caused the special keepsake to jettison off of his finger during impact. He looked around the spot where he crashed in the park but he couldn’t find the ring anywhere. The disappointed young man took his search back to his house and checked out his entire lawn as best as he could and yet he still came up empty handed.

It was at the point when Jared said the words, “I CAN’T FIND MY RING”, that he began to search online for another solution to his problem. Even though he couldn’t confirm or deny whether or not the ring was eyeballed by someone walking along the path where his bike crashed or whether or not the sentimental keepsake was lost inside his home or somewhere around the lawn, he felt that hiring a professional metal detectorist was the best chance he had to solving the mystery of the disappearing ring. Almost immediately, Jared found the elite international directory of metal detecting specialists called THE RING FINDERS and that’s about the time when I received the gentleman’s call for help.

When I arrived at Jared’s house, he showed me around his property where he had been doing lawn work. He oriented me to where he broke up sticks and piled them up on the right side of the house. Then, he took me over to where he cut the lawn in the front of the estate and then guided me around the back and pointed out where he pushed the mower. Jared even remembered a time or two during his outdoor endeavors when he picked up a couple of sticks in the grass and threw them to get them out of the way when cutting the lawn.

Next, I followed my client by car over to the park where he crashed his bike. Once I got the full story as to where the collision took place, I returned to my vehicle to gather up my gear, place it all in my wagon and shuttled everything back to the crash site. Jared returned home while I conducted the search.

I spent about an hour of time detecting around the bike path and into the woods on every side. If the wedding band had flown off at the time of the crash, there was a good chance it rocketed into the woods up to 25 feet or more. I see this kind of thing happen quite frequently with a type of collision such as this. My conclusion turned out to be that there was no sign of the ring anywhere in that area and either someone eyeballed the jewel soon after Jared walked away from the scene or it didn’t come off until later on when the young man was working outside on the lawn that rest of the weekend.

After I packed up all of my metal detecting gear, I returned back to Jared’s home to start the second leg of my search. First, I detected the front right side of the lawn and swung my coil back and forth parallel with Jared’s drive way. Nothing of interest was found.

Next, for my second leg of the search mission, I moved farther up the property towards the pile of sticks that my client had pointed out when I had initially arrived to inspect the yard. Visibly nothing grabbed my attention. However, just as I swung the detector over the mound of wood, I got a very promising tone! Immediately I moved a few sticks out of the way to gain better access to whatever object was resting beneath the pile of branches.

Just as I began to scan over the ground with my machine (but much closer this time to the object than during my first attempt), the target sounded loud and clear in my headphones. The signal came up in the digital number range that matched a men’s wedding band. I then knelt down to the ground to use my pinpointer to zero-in on the object and that’s when my eyes beheld a very handsome 10 karat white gold wedding band settled between some grass blades below a few random sticks that were resting on top of the very sentimental keepsake! I was so thrilled!

Knowing that Jared and Sarah had no idea where the ring could have been lost and knowing it was a much more likely that my client lost the band out in the park during his bike incident, there was less hope in my mind that the ring would be found on the couple’s yard! Yet, in the end, that truly wasn’t the case at all! Jared’s white gold ring was in fact hiding under those sticks the entire time!

I couldn’t wait to surprise Jared shortly after discovering the location of the lost treasure! My client was beyond excited when he saw his most sentimental keepsake being presented back to him! Jared was extremely happy that he contacted THE RING FINDER’S website and ultimately brought me on board to help search and successfully recover his beloved “symbol of love”!

If you are like Jared and you happened to say the same line, “I can’t find my ring” – be encouraged… there’s someone out there that can help find it for you!

Went out for another ring recovery today after work. I didn’t find this ladies deceased mom’s gold ring, (they weren’t 100% sure it was lost in the yard) lost for about 15 years. The yard wasn’t that big. I dug EVERYTHING from VDI 40-90.

I got a sold 90 and decided to dig it. It sounded too good to pass up. I saw shinny and round! It was a thick silver ring! I immediately took it up to her and showed her. She thinks it might be her daughters ring.

This is #11 ring recovery this year!

DIAMOND WEDDING RING LOST IN HAMMOND, LA-FOUND

  • from Lafayette (Louisiana, United States)
Contact:

We were packed and ready to head to one ring hunt when the client called and said it had been raining. Since the ring had been lost over a year ago and it was in a grassy field, we decided to delay the hunt. After unloading the equipment, we received a call from Nicole. She had lost her ring in the concrete parking lot in front of her apartment and yes it had rained but was clear now. Carrie and I reloaded the equipment (knowing we probably would not be able to use them) and left for Hammond, a 2 hour drive. Arriving we found a distraught Nicole walking over the parking lot, searching as she did the previous day. Having not felt the ring fall from her hand, the whole parking lot was the search area. With detectors useless we started a visual search. Two hours later Carrie let out a victory scream. Rejoining Nicole and her ring was a great end for our efforts.

Lost Engagement Ring Recovered and Returned in Kennett Square, PA!

  • from Philadelphia (Pennsylvania, United States)

Got a call from Dan from Kennett Square, PA after he found me in the Ring Finders Directory. He and his fiancee, Sarah, are engaged to be married in October of this year. Dan was seeking help in locating Sarah’s lost emerald and diamond engagement ring. Apparently the day before Sarah spent the afternoon planting flowers in a bed in their side and back yard…later that day when back in house she noticed her beautiful ring was not on her finger. After searching the dirt around the newly planted flowers without success they considered renting or buying a metal detector to look for the ring. But to quote Dan…”decided the job best left to a pro” and they reached out to me. I met them late afternoon on a Tuesday and they quickly gave me a detailed run down on where they think the ring must have come off. Of note is the fact that they both told me the ring was too big for her finger and had a tendency to slip off. Anyway, it wasn’t a large search area… basically 2 mulched flower beds somewhat crowded with flowers. I brought 3 machines with me…since the area was tight with plants I went with my Minelab Equinox 800 with a 6 inch coil…which would allow me to get in tight around the pants and close to the house. As always I first demonstrated my equipment on my own wedding ring to convey to Dan and Sarah that if I’m over the ring I’m not going to miss it! I searched the small back bed first with out success…Dan/Sarah anxiously watching nearby. I moved to the front bed and during my 1st pass my machine blasted out a beautiful 11 gold tone in my headphones. I’ve been detecting for 40 years…I knew  before even bending down and digging that this was the ring! I called Dan and Sarah over and smiled and said….I like this signal! I grabbed my pinpointer and jabbed it 2 inches down into mulch and it announced  a target. Grabbed a fistful of mulch and turned to Dan and Sarah….opened my hand…and there it was!!! Dan was crazy happy and Sarah’s face flooded with relief! Another successful recovery!

Plumber Looses Ring While Digging Ditch in Dallas

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got a call from a local team of plumbers who were digging a ditch in the cold December Texas weather and one of the men lost his wedding ring.  He was frantic, fortunately, we were available and went quickly to the site.  The hole was 4ft deep and full of horrible muddy water and muck.  After several passes with our large Metal Dectortors, we switched to our handheld detectors and checked all the walls by nearly standing on our heads reaching into the mucky muddy water hole.  But luck & skill were with us and we FOUND the man’s ring.  He was so excited, it was so funny watching 4 big plumbers jumping up and down and dancing in the front yard of the home.
