Early Saturday morning, Stan Flack received a phone call from a young serviceman who was clearly distraught having just lost his late grandfather’s ring the night before. Wes was at his own birthday party out in Plant City and as he was leaving for the evening, he approached his truck and unfortunately stepped right in an ant pile! As he swatted the ants off of his hand, he felt his precious ring fly off! After a sleepless night, Wes contacted Stan and Stan took a drive out to the area. Within minutes and with excellent details from Wes, the ring was found in the tall grass much to the relief of a pale Wes. Thank you for your service, Wes! Well done, Stan the Man!

GPS HELPS RECOVER LOST ENGAGEMENT RING ON THREE ROOKER ISLAND

Steve & Audrey took their boat to Three Rooker Island to spend a relaxing day. As Audrey was getting out of the boat, her engagement ring fell into the water! Quick thinking Steve hit the “man overboard” button on the boat’s GPS and marked the spot.  Steve found the SRARC website, contacted Tom Jones who passed the information on to Howard Metts.  Two days later, Howard, Jeanine Metts, Ed Osmar and Dimitur Alipiev met with Steve on the boat ramp for a ride to the island.  Using the GPS, Steve was able to position the boat very closely to where Audrey had lost the ring.  After about ten minutes of water hunting, Howard got a good signal and the ring was in his scoop! Steve was ecstatic, and immediately called Audrey who was overjoyed her ring was found! Great teamwork everyone!

Young assistant recovers lost ring in Clearwater Beach.

Arizona couple, Michael and his wife Katlyn, were spending vacation time in Clearwater Beach.  While tossing a ball in the water at the hotel’s private beach, Katlyn dove for the ball and sadly watched her wedding band fall off into the water. Michael found our club online and contacted Tom Jones, who passed on the information to Howard Metts. Howard called Michael and set up a time to meet before they left for the airport.

Howard started hunting in the area he was directed to hunt in (chest to neck deep water) and retrieved three targets, but not the ring.  Connor, who was visiting from Michigan with his family, was swimming in the search area with goggles.  After an hour of hunting and just before Mike and Kat were to leave for home, Connor popped up and said “is this what your looking for”?  In his hand was the ring Howard had been searching for!  Mike and Kat were very grateful for Howard’s efforts and to young Connor for coming up with the ring.  Nice work, Connor! You may have just found yourself a lifetime hobby, too!   Thanks for helping.

CLEARWATER BEACH RING LOST THEN RECOVERED IN FOUR LAPS

Lacy & Brian were enjoying Clearwater Beach on this hot 4th of July weekend. When Lacy went to apply sun tan lotion, she dropped her wedding band and it ricocheted off the lounge chair.  After searching the fine sand for over an hour, the couple decided to Google “lost ring Clearwater Beach” and happened upon SRARC!  Lacy called team member, Stan Flack, who said he could be there in 30 minutes. Stan found the ring in less than a minute and Lacy had her ring back on her hand! All were thrilled and happy they found SRARC!  A special assist to Linda Flack, for rolling Stan out close to the couple’s location and circling the block on an impossible Sunday to find parking on Clearwater Beach!

Wedding Ring Lost at Ceremony Found and returned on Redington Beach, Florida

April and Tony came to Florida from Michigan to have a Beach Wedding and were joined by their families on Redington Beach just before sundown for the ceremony. As the ring bearer was making his way to the alter one of the rings fell off the pillow that he was carrying. The ceremony continued without the ring and afterwards someone brought a rake and started searching for the ring. Meagan one of the wedding planners, looked up the Ringfinders knowing that they had helped another couple find a lost ring two years ago on Sunset Beach. She called Tom Jones and asked if anyone could get there before dark to search for the ring. Tom and Joe headed out immediately and called Stan Flack to see if he could help with the hunt.
Upon arrival they ask what metal the ring was made of and got several answers from the family. Some said Silver, White gold and the most common answer was platinum. They started hunting the path that the wedding party had walked but did not find the ring. After expanding the search farther back on the path Tom got a good gold signal and up came the 14 K White Gold ring. The Bride and Groom were busy with the Wedding Photographer getting pictures as the sun was setting but took time out to show how grateful they were that the ring was found.

COAST TO COAST HELPING HAND LEADS TO LOST RING RETURN

Rajesh was at a friend’s apartment complex in Oldsmar, FL playing volleyball when he felt his ring come off his finger during a serve. He and his friends looked in the sand where they thought it had landed for a long time and finally gave up. Rajesh googled lost ring and found The Ring Finders web page where he then contact Southern California Ring Finder member Steve Smith who was clearly way too far from Tampa, Florida to search. Steve’s quick thinking had him look up a more local hunter and he in turn passed Rajesh on to SRARC and Ring Finder member Stan Flack. Stan then contacted the nearest SRARC team member Howard Metz to help Rajesh in Oldsmar. It was already too late in the day so the two decided to meet the next day right after lunch. After getting a few more details of the events, Howard went right to work and within 10 minutes, a very relieved Rajesh was reunited with his ring. Hugs and smiles all the way around. Good work Howard and a shout out to Steve Smith for passing Rajesh along to us so we could reunite him with his cherished ring. Nice work everyone, that’s what it’s all about.

Signet Ring Lost, Found, and Returned in Tampa, Florida

Randy went down to a neighborhood pond to see if he could cast net some bait for a fishing trip. He got all setup to throw his first cast, let it go and heard a thump as the net flew through the air. He checked his finger for the gold signet ring his grandmother had given to him just before she passed away. His worst fear was verified when he saw it was no longer on his finger. He spent the next several hours looking in the grass around the area and finally decided it must have gone into the water. After googling for metal detector rental he found SRARC and contacted Mike Miller. Mike scheduled a hunt for the next day and Mark Sillence and Randy met him at the location at 10:30 am. Mark was geared up for the water so he started hunting there and Mike started to cover the bank above the water. In about 15 minutes Mike got a good signal, looked down, and there it was in plain sight. Randy was overjoyed and grinning ear to ear. SRARC is always happy to put a cherished ring back on its owner’s finger.
