Runaway Men’s wedding ring found-Lodi, New Jersey

  • from Mahwah (New Jersey, United States)

Anthony was sitting on the steps of his front porch when he heard the sound of his wedding ring falling off of his finger and hitting the step. He knew exactly where he was when the ring fell off. After numerous fruitless searches of the area he located me on the Ringfinder site. I arrived to see the search area was fairly small and began to scan the lawn on the side he was sitting. I moved to the other side of the sidewalk and located the ring about 15 feet away from where he dropped it. We were both suprised  how far it had traveled after just dropping off.

It was important we found the ring as the next day the landscapers were scheduled to mow the lawn and there was the chance it would be hit with the lawn mower. Another disaster averted!

LOST RING HONEYMOON ISLAND, DUNEDIN, FL….FOUND!!!

  • from Dunedin (Florida, United States)

STEVE THOMAS  DUNEDIN RING FINDER

LOST A RING OR OTHER METAL VALUABLE IN A GRASSY OR SANDY AREA? JEWELRY SLIP OFF OF YOU WHILE SWIMMING? PLEASE CALL ME ASAP (843) 995-4719. I OFFER A FREE METAL DETECTING SERVICE, REWARD OPTIONAL BUT APPRECIATED.

I was scheduled to conduct a search for a lost wedding band on Honeymoon Island last Monday afternoon when I received a call from Derek and Rhiannon Sunday evening. Rhiannon’s beautiful wedding ring had slipped off her finger while the family was enjoying some beach time earlier in the day. Even though Rhiannon realized the loss almost immediately, the family was unable to locate the ring in the sand. As the family was leaving Honeymoon Island, they reported the lost ring to a park ranger and the ranger passed along my contact information.

Because Sunday was the end of a busy Easter holiday weekend, we set up a search time for early Monday morning, hopefully before the hobby detectorists began searching the beach. Derek and Rhiannon took me to the location where they were sitting (thankfully they had marked it well and it was beyond the high tide line) and after only about a 3 minute search, I uncovered the ring, pulled it from the sand, held it up to Rhiannon, and the tears of joy began to flow. I know you Ringfinders know this already, but there can not be anything more satisfying than returning a precious item to someone when they thought they might never see it again. I love my job!

Thank you to the rangers at Honeymoon Island for connecting me to Derek and Rhiannon and thanks for the generous reward!

Man’s wedding ring found in woods after being lost during tree work-Washington Township New Jersey

  • from Mahwah (New Jersey, United States)

Jide had been helping a friend cut some trees and dump the branches in a nearby woods. He realized his wedding band had fallen off in the process. they searched the wooded area and could not find the ring. After searching the internet, The Ringfinders site was found and I was contacted.

After arriving at the scene I realized this was not going to be an easy search and recovery. There was a massive tangle of cut tree limbs and branches and very little room to swing my detector. Well, team work paid off!  Jide would go ahead of me and move branches far enough for me to properly search the area. I eventually received a strong signal and glimpsed a bit of gold among the weeds and branches. I recovered the ring and it was smiles all around!

Found large man’s gold wedding ring-Suffern, New York

  • from Mahwah (New Jersey, United States)

Karen was walking around her townhouse yard wearing her husband’s large gold wedding band on her thumb. Much to her dismay she realized she had dropped the ring. She was sure she had dropped  it across the street from her house, but after numerous frantic searches, they could not locate the ring.

A neighbor had heard of Ringfinders and soon she called me to locate the ring. Karen gave me an idea of where she thought she had lost the ring. After a search of the area, I found that someone had stepped on the ring and sunk it into the lawn. You could not see the ring, but my detector saw it and soon it was returned to the very happy and grateful owners.

Gold Wedding Ring Lost while Installing Grass Sod in Rialto, CA. .. Found by Stan the Metal Detector Man

Mariano called me after finding my contact information on theringfinders website. He believed his white gold wedding band may have fallen off his finger while installing grass sod in his front yard.

Mariano reviewed several cameras and photos taken the day of the loss. He was very sure the ring was somewhere in the 40’x 75’ front yard. He bought a metal detector from a local sporting goods store. After a couple day of frustration,  trying to understand his new metal detector, he gave up.

When Mariano called me, we made an appointment to meet the next morning. This type of search was a first for me. I knew it could involve rolling back the newly installed grass sod. It could be tedious work if there was a lot of metal trash under the sod.

I began a grid search marking all potential targets with plastic markers. My metal detector has target identification numbers and tones which can be helpful but when searching for important sentimental jewelry, I do not rely on that feature of the metal detector.

After a scan of the whole lawn, there were approximately 20 markers that I would individually check with my pinpointer detector. Mariano was close by, so I explained my next move. I would start with the best signal which had been marked with a double marker.

Both Mariano and I checked  the target. He anxiously pulled back the first 3” of sod revealing his white gold wedding ring perfectly visible as if someone just set it there. ( I believe those rolls of sod are 5 or 6 ft. of long). Again a lucky choice of direction to begin a search.

Mariano immediately let his wife know that the ring was found and called his father who had been a part of the original search. Another happy grateful family that didn’t know a service like this was available.

Lost Gold Family Crest Ring at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find began Sunday when I got a call at home from Susie who was on vacation with her family from Glendora, California. While preparing to board a flight home from the Honolulu Airport Susie told me her husband Justin had lost his Father’s Gold Family Crest Ring Thursday afternoon at Nai’a Lagoon at the Ko Olina Resort. Justin was playing on the shoreline with his son throwing a ball when the ring came off, fell into the water and disappeared into the sand. He immediately searched but the soft sand swallowed the ring and wasn’t about to reveal it’s whereabouts without some metal detecting assistance. I told Susie since the day was still early I’d head back to Ko Olina and see what I could do. Justin said the location should be ankle deep water in the center one third of the lagoon. The traffic was light and I arrived at Nai’a Lagoon around 3PM. Aloha Security opened the exit gate for me so I could enter the parking area as there was a line of cars waiting to go in. I started my search at the northern side of the center third and searched out to waist deep water and several feet up the shoreline in case Justin’s ring decided to travel. About 15 minutes into the hunt I found a Titanium Wedding Band. Keep going! A moment later I found a Tungsten Wedding Band. More to post on my website in hopes of returning. I found a few coins and then in the exact center of the lagoon in knee deep water I got a screaming 13 on the Nox and in one scoop there was Justin’s ring glistening in my scoop. Wow! That ring is very unique and if I hurry I can get a text off to the family before they land in California. Barely two hours later I got a text from Susie saying, “That is it!! Awesome! It’s my husband’s birthday and that is the best news.” I mailed the ring back Monday morning and Justin had it back on his finger Wednesday afternoon. Justin sent me a personal message about the ring and his Father that put a lump in my throat and justifies the pure enjoyment I get from this hobby. Aloha to Justin and Susie!

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I was at work yesterday doing a long day when near the end night I got a text message asking for help, then shortly after a phone call. A young man had lost his white gold wedding band at Third Beach in Vancouver. He told me it was extremely important for me to find it, that is always the case and I totally understand that, so I set up a time to meet him after work.

After a 13 hour day I met the young man at the beach at approximately 10:15 pm, he showed me the area where he believed the ring fell off his finger, it didn’t take long to find his beautiful white gold ring and help continue that story. He and his friends spent 30 minutes in the dark searching for the ring with no success. Sometimes recovery of the ring can be very quick when others times it could take a very long time to find, fortunately he put me in the right area, so tonight it was a quick search and I was home shortly after midnight

Lost Diamond Ring in Orange Beach, AL – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Felicia and Scott have been down from Tennessee enjoying this beautiful Orange Beach weather. The first day here Scott got a little sunburned so the next day Felicia was being extra careful to put plenty of sunscreen on the little ones. Like a lot of people, she took her ring off so she wouldn’t get it too greasy and she slipped it into her swimsuit thinking it would only be there for a second or two. Sure enough, moments later she had forgotten all about the ring as she rushed into the gulf to play with the kids in the waves. A few hours later as they were walking to their car, she noticed it was gone and that’s when panic ensued. You can imagine the frantic search that followed and understand why she got up at the crack of dawn to go comb the beach the following morning. Luckily for her there was a nice man that saw her looking and suggested the Ringfinders service. She was quickly searching on the internet and before she knew it she had my name and phone number. When she called and told me everything I knew that it was most likely in the water. I told them I was on the way. When I got there it was pretty crowded but they had a very good idea where they had gone into the Gulf. I explained that I would go back and forth in a grid pattern to make sure I covered everything but not to worry if it took a little while. I saw them both looking anxiously on as I dug a couple of coins shaking my head that no, that wasn’t it. Then I got the tone I wanted to hear and I very gently took a deeper scoop so I wouldn’t scratch anything. As the sand rushed out of my scoop I saw the telltale glint of gold and diamonds. I turned and smiled and gave them a nod and Felicia came rushing to meet me at the water’s edge. Now Scott and Felicia have been together since the eighth grade so I knew she was going to be excited but I have to say that Felicia wins for loudest, most excited shouts of joy ever. She screamed for joy so long that several people asked if we had gotten engaged. 😃. Gotta love it, that’s why I do what I do. This is a beautiful ring and I’m glad I could return it to such a beautiful couple. Congrats Scott and Felicia. God Bless!

Engagement Ring! Royal Gardens! Edmonton Alberta. (Found)

  • from Edmonton (Alberta, Canada)

I received a call from Chad requesting my services again, to locate his wife engagement ring, Chad called me a week ago while I was out of town and I had given Chad a few pointers to locate the ring and he had success in finding it.

This time he was not able to find the ring. His 2 ½ old son had a temper tantrum, picked up the ring off the table and walked over to the window and threw the ring out! Chad spent a couple of hours looking for it but had no luck.  I meet Chad outside his apartment building and he showed me the area and the window from which his son had thrown the ring. I spent approximately 40 minutes searching the area and finally found the ring about 30’ from the window. I told Chad that his son must have been really upset to be able to throw the ring that far!

Thank you Chad.
