Lost White Gold Wedding Ring at Naia Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This Ring Find began as my detecting buddy Terry & I were wrapping up our day hunting for a lost white gold wedding band in Naia Lagoon. We found a total of 4 Gold Rings but none were the one we were looking for. As I was heading to the shower a Gentleman and his wife asked if we found anything. I showed them my carabiner with the four Gold Rings attached. They both immediately said, “That’s my husband’s/my ring” as they pointed at the White Gold Ring my buddy Terry had found 4 hours earlier that morning in the lagoon. He said he could prove it as he had a picture on his phone with that ring on his finger. Sure enough he did and to be sure I asked him where in the lagoon he lost it and he pointed to the exact spot. There was no doubt in my mind it was his. As I looked towards the lagoon where he pointed there was my fellow ring finder Don exiting the water with his assistant that I don’t know. Don asked, “Did you find the ring?” and I held it up for him to see. Don had done a 5 hour hunt for the ring previously but the tide was super high and he wasn’t able to get to the spot without scuba gear. Terry found the ring at a super low tide in neck deep water. Don & I have collaborated on hunts in the past we were both just thrilled that the ring was back on the husband’s finger. We had a few laughs together and then I was asked to hunt for a just dropped Gold Cross you can see in the previous blog. I think it’s going to be a busy detecting Summer. Aloha to all involved and of course the happy couple who had their ring returned.

I woke up the other day to a text message asking for help to find a lost platinum wedding band in the ocean. I text back saying I’d be happy to help and that I would called him later in the day because I was on my way to work. Happens that day our cell phone provider was shut down for almost 12 hours but I did manage to reach the young man and arrange to meet the next day as I had it off.

After talking on the phone a bit I learned that he lost his ring at low tide in chest deep water which was a good thing because it didn’t really matter how long it was there, I was pretty certain no one would have found it because the water isn’t that warm this time of year and most people who metal detect would stay to the dry sand.

I went to the location early before low tide to make sure I get a parking spot and there was a rally going on for 420 which is known for a yearly meeting for pot smoker’s. I found out later there was also a rally for not wearing masks and not being told what to do hundreds of people there for that as there was for the 420 event.

Ashley emailed me that his wife would be meeting me to show me the location because he was going to be a little bit late, I met his wife and children and they walked me over to the location then had to leave because they needed to find a better parking spot so they wouldn’t get a ticket.

Just minutes after they left I began to search and found the ring in probably 20 seconds in waist deep water, I was able to surprise her husband who came a later and after that he helped me surprise his wife. It was so fun to see her reaction and what the ring meant to her and with the ring meant to both of them I was so honoured to be able to help continue that story for them, what a lovely couple!

Ring thrown in lake, Kissimmee, Fl….Found and Returned to Owner!

Antwan and his dear fiance were having a bit of a rough time and out of frustration and anger he grabbed her engagement ring, walked out behind his house and stood on the edge of the lake contemplating what to do next. Some times common sense and good judgement prevail and other times a lack of good sense and angry feelings overwhelm the person and the dreaded throw takes place. And it didn’t take long for the regret and the old feeling of “What in the world did I just do?” to hit him square between the eyes—figuratively speaking!

He realized there was absolutely no way for him to retrieve the thrown ring so he went on line to look for someone who could possibly help him. And to his amazement he came across theringfinders.com. After reading some of the stories Antwan decided to give me a call and I agreed to meet him and do a search. Antwan said the water was only two or three feet deep so I went prepared to wade but after entering the water it was obviously allot deeper the further out I walked. I spent three hours digging cans and fishing lures along the shore and even went out up to my neck but I was not able to find his lost ring. I could tell Antwan was rather sad and I purposed to try again another day. So the following week I returned with my scuba gear and PVC grid frame and began a systematic search out into deeper water. My grid frame is 5 foot by 20 foot and that allows me to effectively search an 11 by 26 foot area very thoroughly and effectively. Two and a half hours into my search I got a loud large signal reading on my Pulse Dive with the 6 inch coil and I dug down 8 inches or so and still could not find the target so I continued on. I surfaced and moved my grid frame over 25 feet and continued my search. Going up the left side I reached the end of the grid in approximately 8 foot of water and got that same signal. I could tell it was the same target as I could feel the hole I had dug a few minutes earlier. As I continued sweeping the small coil across the muddy bottom I instantly got a sharp, small signal and digging my fingers into the mud I felt a small heavy object which was exactly what I was looking for! I immediately thanked my God for helping me find Antwan’s lost ring and calmly made my way to the surface. Five minutes later I rang the door bell and presented Antwan with his special ring! What a joy to see the relief and joy on his face and he was amazed at how beautiful his fiance’s ring actually was.

What an amazing experience and privilege it is to reunite someone with something so precious and sentimental! And it was truly an honor to help this hurting young man.

Lost Gold Family Heirloom Cross at Naia Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

This hunt began as we were finishing our Saturday Naia Lagoon Search for a lost White Gold Wedding Band. As I was heading to the shower a couple on the beach asked if I found anything and I showed them the 4 Gold Rings Terry my detecting buddy and I found. Immediately the gentleman said that’s my wedding ring. I’m like, “What?” He said yes that’s my ring and he could prove it. Sure enough he showed me a pic on his phone of the exact ring and pointed in the water where he lost it and Terry found about three hours earlier. As we looked out in the water there was my fellow Ring Finder Don with his friend hunting for the ring. They had been called previously and since the tide was so high then they returned this morning to continue the hunt. Long story short a combined effort not in vain but one happy couple with the wife in tears. Don & I have collaborated on hunts over the years. While we were taking some selfies with the couple a young lady from Portland, Oregon asked if we could find her Grandpa’s lost gold cross that fell off her brother Sawyer’s necklace in about waist deep water. I said, “I got this” and proceeded to the water where the family was searching for the lost cross. I got some quick reference points and started the hunt. After a minute and on the second leg I got a nice tone on the Nox and on the second scoop there was the beautiful Gold Family Heirloom Cross. The family was so thankful and a sigh of relief was evident in all of them. What an awesome morning at the beach! Aloha to Sawyer and his Family!

The Ring Finders Metal detector service helped find a precious gold necklace buried in the beach sand at San Diego. Call or text 760 889 2751 for a speedy recovery.

Recently one Saturday morning I was contacted via text asking if I could help find a lost necklace in Pacific beach. I certainly could help and it is an easy drive there. So we met up shortly after that same morning in front of Woodys restaurant.

Fortunately it was only a volleyball court sized area to scan over,,,So I begin the standard grid search and instantly found a gold colored necklace with a small pendant as described… As I walked towards the owner and friend I assumed it was there’s but experienced enough I cautioned it might not be if someone else lost a gold necklace here???

….. Sure enough,,Sure as heck,,, It wasn’t her precious lost gold necklace but someone else’s!!

Ok. Dang it..Been here many times similarly for lost ring calls in the past when it’s NOT their ring I found!!  Shortly after back to where I left scanning with my metal detector I received a  small signal in the gold range, There I see another gold necklace in da scoop!??   What are the odds of that happening to us TRF’s?

Then I let go of my detector machine confidently smiling and walking towards them emptying the sand scoop on the boardwalk wall there….Nothing!!

….But Only sand appeared 🙀 NO necklace!!

Dang it again!!  It actually fell out of “Da scoop“ And  She actually saw it dangling out when I dug it up..I felt so Embarrassed and frantic at this point though.

Fortunately,,,I found it again in just a couple few swings or seconds afterwards 😇.   Went right back to her immediately !  This is a great start of the year for me to help others in San Diego…Thank you for the generous reward via Venmo. All donations or rewards goes towards the equipment or expenses I use to help others in need.

Good Karma always prevails at the end.

Lost ring in Spanish Fork: Found

This is another remarkable story. Courtney and Dave wanted to learn the metal detecting hobby, so they invited me to their old family homestead in Spanish Fork, Utah. The family has lived on that land for over 100 years. I brought extra metal detectors for them, and we started searching to see if we could find any relics. The first good find was an old silver dime, but then I found an old, antique ring. It had two rubies and three elephants, each with a tiny diamond eye, and it looked like it had been made in India. It was gold-plated silver, and it looked like it had been in the ground for maybe 100 years. Inside the ring were the initials “EJ”. After a little looking on FamilySearch.org we learned that Courtney’s great-grandmother’s name was Eleanor Jane. This must have been her ring! I’m sure that Eleanor would be happy to know that after being lost for four generations, her ring has been found, and is now a treasured family heirloom.

Lost Diamond Pendant, Burnaby BC… Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

Today I received a call from a young lady who told me that she had lost her gold & diamond pendant. She told me that she had lost it off of her patio and she felt it come off but didn’t hear where it landed. Her and her girlfriend had spent hours looking for the pendant with no luck. The reason that she knew to call TheRingFinders was because a month earlier her husband had hired me to look for his lost platinum wedding band. Unfortunately he lost it last summer, I had no luck or no chance in finding it because it was a heavily hunted beach a lot of time had passed before I did my search.

I arranged to meet the young lady after work and shortly after 8:30 PM I arrived at the search location, I met her and she showed me where she was standing when she lost her diamond pendent, she showed me where they were looking and also told me that she took all the plants out of the flower pot and search the dirt because it made sense to her it could’ve fallen into the flower pot. After not finding it in the flower pot she moved her search below the deck and into the grass but couldn’t understand why she didn’t see it in the short grass, I decided my search at the first place she thought it was lost and that was the flower pot, I put my pin pointer into the flower pot and I got a good signal right away. She was surprised to hear my pin-pointer go off and said that she had searched it with no luck earlier in the day.

Well after only about a minute of searching I found her beautiful diamond pendant and I was able to surprise her, it’s truly amazing where these sentimental items end up being found, especially after people have search for many hours and couldn’t find it.

I have the best job in the world I get to help find these beautiful items and also return the smile back to the people…I love my job!!

Lost wedding ring Waikiki Found

  • from Waikīkī Beach (Hawaii, United States)

This ring find started mid day on Easter Sunday. We were just winding down from watching the little ones search the yard for eggs when I got a call from Katie the wife of Kylee and she was asking if I was available to help her husband who just lost his wedding ring in the water out front the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. I assured her that help was on the way and immediately told my wife the unfortunate news and so we gathered up the family and I grabbed  my gear for underwater hunting. As we were leaving the house I noticed the sun was on its way down as it was getting closer to the evening. Within the next 50  minutes I called to let Katie know I’m almost there and will park and head towards them at the beach. I arrived at the hotel and quickly grabbed my gear and headed to the beach where I met Katie and Kylee. Kylee and Katie greeted me at the beach and both were very appreciative for coming out on Easter to help them look for their lost wedding ring. I encouraged them that this is what we as ring finders love to do… help find lost items. As I talked to Kylee about the incident and gathered as much information I needed, I noticed the tide changed and there would be a difference to where this ring could be now many hours later.  I encouraged the couple that I will do my best and get Kylees ring back on his hand. As I started my search I noticed there was a lot I’ve trash in the area. I continue to go on the line in which Kylee believes he lost it. Close to the shoreline not much farther out than that and maybe up to waist deep of water. And as I continue to search the area back-and-forth I noticed there is no sign of a ring. So I decide to move into deeper waters. And low and behold I get a beautiful tone on my equinox. I dig for the target and there in my Xtreme scoop is Kylee’s ring. I look up to notice Kylee is not looking at me and so I ask him “hey Kylee can you tell me what the ring looks like”? Kaylee says it’s all black and nothing really other to it. And so I ask another question,  “Are you sure? He stops for a moment and as his mind is in ajar I ask does it look like this? As I hold out his ring in my hand he says “YES! That’s it”. We both rejoice as the beautiful sun starts to set behind us. A couple in passing looks at us and asked you find anything good? Our response YES HIS WEDDING RING. As we walked back to our towels in the sand we both get our phones out to call our wives. I can hear his phone as he can hear mine… the first thing out of my wife’s mouth was… you find it? I responded with a happy yes! I could hear Katie excited on the other line as well. Kylee and I both smile as we know this was more than a lost and found… what started out as a day for my kids to find Easter eggs ended with daddy finding a beautiful wedding ring in Waikiki under the shade of the most beautiful sunset. Kylee and I both shake hands and head our ways back to our families we love so much… another great recovery and another precious recovery back to the rightful owner! Always a pleasure.
