This client lost her ring while tossing a football with friends. After gathering some info, I met up with the client and her friends this evening. Literially, 10 minutes later, the ring was in the scoop.

Lost ring Cape May, NJ….FOUND!
The client explained that at some point this evening she believed that she may have dropped her ring in the sand while at the beach with her brother whom was taking aerial photos of the sunset. The client realized the ring was gone while at dinner so the area it was lost was potentially anywhere between her home, the beach, and the diner (several miles total). After meeting up we took a ride down and the client approximated the search area. After 15-20 minutes the ring was back on the clients finger, much to her relief.
Clients review of service: “This evening I attempted to enjoy the sunset at the cove in Cape May. As I was leaving I realized my $6000.00 wedding ring fell off. I was so upset obviously and was referred to Jeff Laag to help with the recovery. Jeff answered my call immediately and was at my house in no time. It wasn’t until I went back down to the cove with him and pointed out the rather large area I was roaming around, that I realized it was probably a pretty bleak chance he was going to find it. He began his search when about 15 minutes or so he asked me to once again describe it. When I provided him with the description, he pulled out my ring he found in the sand!!! A memorable Memorial Day when lost ring is found in Maryland
I received a voice mail from Matt saying his wife lost her wedding ring in their yard. After trying a cheap detector from a local store and searching their yard on their hands and knees, they began looking for detecting services on the web. They found me on Ring Finders and I was able to travel and search the following day. I began searching with my Garrett ATPRo and got a great signal after about 5 min. I was able to pinpoint the ring which was deep in thick grass. They were so excited I found it and apologized that I had to drive an hour and a half for five min. of searching. I am just glad I could make their day and see the smile on their faces. This is why I am a part of Ring Finders.

Julie called me an hour after losing her ring at Long Beach, CA. I only asked her if the ring was lost in the dry sand or wet sand and to text me the nearest address.
When we met on the beach she was with John at an unoccupied lifeguard tower. She told me that they had climbed up the steps on the tower to the platform. When she got to the top, she brushed some sand off her leg and the ring flew off her finger. Both Julie and John heard the ring hit the deck but could not determine the direction it went.
I was a little overconfident that it would be a quick recovery. My first obstacle was many metal trash targets. My first grid of the small area was a rapid scan listening for a low gold tone. Next grid of scan was slow digging and removing every metal target. ”No Ring”. I knew that it was possible for the ring to be hiding close to the metal legs of the lifeguard tower but I was holding off on searching near the metal legs till later.
Before getting on my hands and knees to use my handheld pinpointer. I used my sand scoop to move sand away from the metal legs where my detector had a chance to find a ring without being masked by the metal support legs.
After one hour, the third grid of the area was successful. The ring was found within 18” of the metal tower supports. I’m sure that I moved it out far enough for the detector to separate it from the larger metal. Although it is possible that I may have just missed it the first times, the main thing is the ring was recovered. It always rewarding to see how happy John and Julie were to have the ring back. It was very sentimental to both of them.

I got a call from a very distressed father his daughter lost 2 gold/diamond wedding bands. I spoke to the daughter and after learning the situation. arrived at about 0900 . we went by boat to the location where the ring was lost I found both rings within an hour. the whole family was very happy to say the least . It was a excellent experience.

Eric called today about his wedding band he had lost in his backyard over the Memorial weekend, during a grilling session. He went to wipe his hands off in the grass, when while swiping them his ring went flying. He and his family searched for a couple of hours without any luck. After a few questions, I agreed to do the search. He was going to be at work, so we arranged to have me meet with his wife Anna at the house later in the day.
When I arrived, Anna met me at the backyard gate, and took me back to the site of the loss. She showed me approximately what happened. From what it looked like, the ring should not have gone far, but having done these searches over the years, I have found that these rings sometimes go in the least expected of places. I searched the area where I expected the ring would have gone first, no luck. I then began a search over all the rest of the yard, and on the last pass, all the way on the other side of the yard, further back than it should have been, I found Eric’s ring. Rings are kind of like weird people; they just do their own thing. It was a pure pleasure to be able to hand Anna her husband’s ring, that they thought was lost for good. Truly a great day!

You are a great guy with a great calling in life! My lost ring in my backyard was probably a run-of-the-mill search and find for you, but I had been wearing it for over 20 years. I had been doing yard work the previous day and within minutes of it falling off my finger (still don’t know how it happened), I realized my finger was bare. But me finding you was a bigger part of the story. We looked for it all evening until it got too dark. The next day, I had to go to work. Lost White Gold Engagement Ring with Diamonds Found in Plymouth Michigan
In Less Than A Week….
….this pictured couple are to be married! But last Friday night the bride to be was hangin’ out with the bridesmaids and Saturday after waking up her engagement ring was missing! I talked with her Sunday and we agreed to meet today to search. The wedding date was now 4 days out. The stress of the loss was taking it’s toll on them. She last remembered having it on between the car and house and after getting into the house went right to sleep. She said she keeps it in a jar at night as it fits looser than it used to due to her amazing weight loss. So to start I wanted to eliminate areas so I searched the grass areas where she remembers walking but the MXT remained silent.
Our next step would be to check in the house. They had thought they covered all the areas where they thought it may be so I asked if she remembered anything upstairs before crashing and she showed me where the jar was where she usually keeps it. This helped us narrow down where it may be. I then suggested that we check thru the dresser drawers and clothes nearest the container. Scanning the contents of the second drawer down and between 2 shirts this gorgeous ring was hiding! She exclaimed in excitement that it was found and you could see all the stress just melt away! She remembered having the drawers open and moving clothes around quickly and she must have thought she put it in the jar but it slipped off. So now the upcoming celebration will be complete with all the emotion going in a positive direction as they begin their new life together!

I was contact by Alan, a resident of Houston who was looking for someone to help him find his lost wedding ring.
Alan reported yesterday while participating in a MUD Volleyball Tournament at the Annual Pasadena MUD Festival, he lost his wedding ring in one of the volleyball mud pits…
Alan reported the volleyball ball tournaments take place in mud pits filled with about two foot of water…Alan said he lost his ring in pit #9.
Alan said he and several of his co-workers searched the bottom of the pit with no success, Alan said his wife immediately searched the internet and came across “The Ring Finders”
I spoke with Alan that afternoon, and plans were made to meet at the MUD Festival the following morning…

Lost Ring, Pensacola Beach, FL – FOUND!
Friday night I got a call from a man named Wes saying that his wife had lost her ring on Pensacola Beach. I talked to him for a bit and got some info. He told me that they had tried to look for it already and said that they might try again. I explained to him that searching for it can usually drive a gold ring deeper into the sand because of the differences in density. I also told him that I was going to be in the area the next morning dropping off my son at Lacrosse practice. Wes asked if I would head across the bridge after and we set a time to meet. When I walked down onto the beach I got a bit concerned because I could see the fresh tracks of the machine that drags the sand to pick up trash, etc. However, when I found Wes and he pointed to the area where the ring was lost, I started to get the feeling that this nice couple was going to be lucky since the tracks stopped about 50 yards away. When Wes told me that they were sitting 37 steps away from a landmark and he had brought a 100ft measuring tape, I knew that there was a great chance of finding his wife’s ring. Sure enough, in less than 10 minutes on my third pass I got a nice tone and gently pulled up her ring in the first scoop. Thanks for calling me Wes and thanks for being so thorough. I’m very glad y’all got your ring back. 👍😃💍
