I received an email from a young lady and this is what it said…

Hello Chris,
My name is Erin and I am hoping you can help me find my wedding ring that I lost yesterday afternoon, somewhere in a small section of Aldergrove Regional Park. I noticed fairly quickly that I lost it, so I spent most of my time there looking for it instead of enjoying the park. Are you available to help me look for it with your metal detector? I would be very grateful if you could! Please let me know.

Thank you,
Erin
I replied back that I would be very happy to help and asked her to call me which she did pretty soon after, it’s very important to get there as quickly as possible in order to have a chance to find it before someone else does. I met Erin at 7 pm, she was a very nice young lady, she showed me what she was doing and where she believed the ring was lost, it didn’t take long before I found her smile. It really helps when people can put you in the ballpark, sort of speak, and she did that. This was a first for me to find what they call a ”ring jacket” it’s two rings soldered and separated so that the engagement ring can sit the middle. Aaron also told me her husband said to her don’t worry I will buy you another one, what a great guy, I think I saved him a few dollars by finding this one.

How to find a lost ring in the sand, Spanish Banks Beach… Vancouver, BC.

Summer is warming up and more calls are coming in…This call was from a young man who said that his friend lost a large gold ring while throwing a foot ball. These searches are usually 100% successful because they know that the ring came off while throwing the ball.

I told them to relax and I will find the ring, it was almost  a 1 1/2 hour drive to get there, so I hit the road right away.

When I arrived and met the party I was introduced to the young man who lost what I found out was his wedding band, it was a huge one by the sounds of it. As I was getting ready to do the search and after asking my typical questions, I noticed there was a lot of eyes on me!  I knew the pressure was on! But not to worry as I also knew it was a matter of time before I find the ring. I knew I would find it as sand eats up gold, but the gold can’t hide from me and my detector!

30 seconds into the search I received a great signal on my detector and BINGO! I had his huge gold ring in my scoop. I loved the reaction of everyone on the beach as they cheered for the young man!

As always… I love the Smiles!

Lost Platinum Diamond Ring at Crescent Park, Surrey…Found!

from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)
Contact: 1-778-838-3463

I got a call from a young lady a week ago explaning how she had lost her ring at a park not far from where I live. I went out to the park the next day and we met and she showed me the area and it was a pretty big area. It was a hot sunny day and

I started my grid search, after 4+ hours and no ring I decided to come back with a friend when the weather cooled down a bit in the early morning. That way I could drag a foot and see the grid lines from the dew on the ground, this helps because its such a game of inches and could be missed very easily.

Flash forward a week and I’m in the grocery store waiting to pay when the lady in front of me with three kids looks at me and says I know you, I recognized her as well, but I could not put my finger on where we met. I thought for moment and said TheRingFinders? Her son looked up and said it’s Chris! He remembered my name…Amazing!

I told her that I would go back the next morning to take another look for her ring…I got there early in the morning and there was a group of kids setting up the area to play soccer so this put me in the lower area of the field which happened to be the hot spot…20 minutes into the search I found the ring!

This is the best part of the search & recovery…The Smile!
