Story goes….
The couples 5 yr old son had a mini treasure chest he was playing with, and mom/dad allowed him to put their wedding rings into it. What could go wrong? Right? They were right by him, walking up their driveway towards the street. They started playing around and chased the 5 yr old. Apparently to get the box back or jokingly get it back. Well, the boy decided to throw it to home plate from first base! 😱🤣 Mom saw her ring hit the ground then disappear! Son found the box, dad found his ring, but moms ring was nowhere to be found! After hours of searching and moving leaves, they finally found me on “THE RING FINDERS. Com” and asked for help!
It was a 2 hour drive one-way to get to their house and try to find it.
I get there, get the backstory and the general area to search. I searched and searched for almost an hour. I was beginning to lose hope. I then started expanding my search area and got up to the natural area and went around a small cedar tree when I get a VDI 51-53! I bend down and BOOM! There’s the shiny object I had been looking for!!! It had traveled from the street, through the cedar tree and landed about 8 inches from the base under it and under a bunch of leaves!

Lost ring found… Manasquan, NJ!!!

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)
🏖💍SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY ALERT!!!💍🏖
Shout out to John Favano of Ring Finders South Jersey for the lead!
I contacted Keith after John called me and told me Keith had lost his wedding ring and needed help! Keith had taken the day off to celebrate his wife’s birthday by going to the beach for a relaxing day with their dog. When they arrived at the beach, Keith started digging out a hole for his dog so she could lay down in cooler sand. As he was brushing off his hands his ring flew off into the sand. He and his wife searched to no avail. When I arrived, he showed me the 3ft x 3ft area where the ring landed. I started my search and within a few minutes, I had his ring in my scoop!! Happy to reunite another ring and owner!! 🥳😁🥳

Ring Lost at Ribfest found. Lake in the Hills, Il.

  • from Rockford (Illinois, United States)

The Morning of July 11th, 2022 I received a voicemail from Dana. She said that her husband had lost his wedding ring the night before at the annual Ribfest near their home. She said that the crews were there taking down the tables and chairs but they had already secured permission from the crew and the local police to conduct a search. I brought along my wife Jennifer since the ring was lost in such a large area, I figured 2 people could cover more ground much quicker.  After meeting up with Dana and her husband John we grabbed our gear and the 4 of us walked over to the area where John had been sitting during the festivities. John gave us a rough outline of the areas where he had moved around to during his time there and where he had been sitting most of that time. I decided to start at the farthest point and work back towards where John had been sitting,  while that’s where Jen started. John and Dana said they were going to walk back home and to call or text them if we found it. Before I could get to the far end Jen said she had a strong, shallow signal, so I went back to help her retrieve it from the hard packed dirt. Bam! Jen’s first signal! Right where John said he was sitting was John’s ring! In less than 10 minutes I sent Dana a text with pictures saying “Good news!!”

Another successful recovery! Number 15 FTY! #gold #classring #gold #ring #recovery

I received a call from Mark, saying he had lost his 14K white gold class ring in a field with high grass. Along with a few other items. I agree to meet him yesterday after work. Once I get there, I realize this one is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack with how tall the grass was. I finally had to use my truck to flatten down some of the high grassy areas.

I geared up and began swinging and listening to all the tones. I wasn’t 100% sure what this ring would sound like, since I have never found a man’s High School class ring yet.

After about 3.5 hours of swinging, fighting the heat, sweating, bugs and high grass I called it a night. I decided to return the next day, since I had to come back up that way already for something else.

I used my truck again, to flatten down more high grassy areas so I could have better chance at finding this ring. After about another 2 hours of swinging, sweating and digging signals to get them out of the way. I finally get that sweet sound of GOLD!! Solid VDI 53 on the Garrett AT MAX w/the Reaper coil!! BOOM it had been found. I called Mark up and we met up while he was working his Amazon route nearby to return his ring to him!

I love doing this for folks. I wish I could find them all, but I especially love the ones I am able to find and return!!

Lost Ring at the Blue Angels show – FOUND!!!

  • from Orange Beach (Alabama, United States)

Hunter and Ashley are two of the nicest people you could ever meet.  That probably saved their ring, because I’m not going to lie, I almost passed by this one. Ashley had reached out to me online Saturday after the Blue Angels show and explained that while they were on the beach with thousands of other spectators, Hunter’s ring had come off in the sand. They had scoured the area but unfortunately couldn’t find it. I told them that I would be out that way in the water the next day and I would take a look. Fast forward to the next morning and my Father-in-law Tom and I were way later getting out there than we had planned while we decided if the weather was going to hold. When we pulled up I walked down to the area with my land machine and I could see 7 people with detectors within 100 yds of the area. To make matters worse, the beach machine that rakes the sand for debris had already covered the area. I talked myself into believing that the ring was gone and walked back to the car to get my water machine. By the time I got down to the water to join Tom, my conscience was eating at me. I told him I was going to run back down there anyway and take a look so I could at least say I tried. On the way, I noticed that a lot of the detectorists didn’t have the same caliber of equipment and their technique left a bit to be desired. I started to feel like maybe there was a chance after all. Sometimes I really feel like God will put you where he wants you if you will listen and obey. Sure enough, I didn’t make 3 passes and I got a nice gold tone. I reached down with the scoop and pulled out Hunter’s ring. They came by my house later in the day and I got to meet them and see their happy smiles in person. The hugs alone made the search all worth it. Congrats to you both.

I received a call late in the afternoon of July 4th from a lady who informed me she was in about 4 feet of water when a wave smashed into her. She exited the water and realized her wedding ring set was missing from her finger. She said she searched not only in the water but also about 100 yards away where she was sitting. She believed her ring was lost in the water but not 100% sure. She was at a beach called Little Talbot Island which was about 40 miles from me. I determined the best time to search was the next day. I searched for about 4 hours both in the water and on the beach with no luck.  I called her up and let her know that I did not find the ring but not to give up hope as there would be some tide changes in a few days.  I think she gave up faith after hearing I did not find her rings. I returned 2 days later and found her wedding set in the water about 12″-14″ buried under the sand.  When I sent her a picture of her wedding set she called me crying and could not believe they were found…

If you lose something of value, I may be able to help you… Call or Text anytime…Adam 714-785-5111

Lost Mens Rose Gold Wedding Band Found At Rehoboth Beach Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 06/27/2022, I received a call from fellow New Jersey ring finder John Favno regarding a lost mens wedding band on the beach at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. John said that he had been contacted by a lady by the name of Sissi regarding the lost ring and he provided me with a phone number for Sissi. I then called Sissi to find out the particulars regarding the loss of her husbands ring. Sissi said that her husband lost his ring off of his finger when a wave hit his hand. I asked Sissi to send me some pictures of the beach and area of where the ring had been lost. After looking at the pictures that Sissi sent to me I decided that I would attempt to find the missing ring. I met Sissi and her husband (Jean) on the beach about an hour later, I asked Jean to go out and stand in the water in the area that he had lost his ring. Jean walked out into knee deep water at which time I searched around him for the ring, I did get a signal and what I dug up was a pair of sunglasses. After not locating the ring out in the knee-deep water I started to search the area where the waves were just breaking and the water was about ankle deep. I got another signal and upon digging it I found the lost ring in my sand scoop. The lost ring was then returned to a happy couple, Sissi told me that she and Jean had been married for eleven months and that their one-year anniversary was coming up in the month of July. I would like to wish Sissi and Jean a Happy Anniversary! Thank You Fellow Ring Finder John Favno for the referral!

Lost Mens 10kt Gold Wedding Band Found At Dewey Beach Delaware

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 06/02/2022, I received a call from Holly regarding the loss of a 10kt Gold Wedding Band belonging to her husband Timmothy. Holly said that Timmothy had lost his ring on 05/30/2022 on the beach at Dewey Beach, Delaware while he was shaking the sand off of a towel. Holly said that she and Timmothy had just gotten married and that his ring was a little loose on his finger. Holly said that they had rented a metal detector to try to find the lost ring and that they were not able to locate it. Holly also said that they had help from a local resident who volunteered to help look for the ring with his metal detector and that the ring was still not able to be found. Holly requested that I make an attempt to find the missing wedding band, she also said that they were leaving to go back home. I told Holly that I would try to find the ring later in the day and that I would let her know the outcome of the search. Holly was able to provide me with a photograph of her standing on the beach in the area that the ring was lost in. The picture also included a fence that gave me a reference as to where she was on the beach. Upon arriving at the beach later in the day I began a search of the area that was in the picture that Holly had sent to me, the search ended with the ring not being located. I then decided to expand the search area and began a search of the area to the north of the original search area. After just a few swings of my detector I was able to locate the missing ring on the wet sand slope about two inches down in the sand. I then sent Holly a picture of the recovered ring to let her know that it had been found. Two days later I mailed the ring back to Holly as she had requested.

Father’s Yellow Gold Free Mason’s Ring Lost in the Ocean – Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

Every call for help in finding a lost ring is just as important as the ones before it or the many coming after it. Each ring has its own story, whether it was passed down from a family member, something someone worked hard for to achieve, or the love of their life slipped it on their finger. Although, all of the rings are very important, once in a while you get the call for something very special that grabs at your heart strings. This was exactly the case for me on this call. Ron called me close to 11 pm on Thursday, June 30th clearly devastated that he had lost his father’s custom-made yellow gold Free Mason’s ring. He told me the ring was specially designed and made for his father by another Free Mason, who was both a friend and a jeweler. Ron’s father has since passed away and this special ring now belongs to Ron. I found out from Ron that he was wearing the ring while throwing a football in the ocean. My first question was if he was right or left-handed, he responded right-handed. My second question was which hand was the ring on. Again, his response was on his right hand. My next questions were what day, time, and how deep was he in the water. His response was that he lost it on Tuesday, around lunch time, and he was about thigh deep. During our text messages he changed the day to Monday. We exchanged other information and I could tell Ron was having a difficult time talking about losing the ring. I found out that he and his family was leaving the next morning. I closed our conversation by asking him to take pictures of the area and send them to me the next morning. After thinking about it, I texted him back and asked him if he could meet me on the beach the next morning at 9 am, he agreed. By meeting him, I could get a firsthand view without having to decipher some pictures.

The next morning, we met as scheduled and he pointed out the area. I don’t remember if it was during our texting the night before or he told me when we met that he actually lost it on Sunday, which was 5 days ago. As we’re talking about additional details, I asked him whether he was facing north or south when he was throwing the football and he responded he was facing east, meaning he was facing seaward. In my mind, I’m thinking this is going to be a tough, if not an impossible search. If he was facing seaward, throwing the ball with the same hand the ring was on and it was 5 days ago, it’s difficult to imagine where his ring ended up. But I love a good challenge, so I told him I’d be back around 2 pm to work the outgoing tide with low tide being at 3:48 pm.

As I’m loading up the car with my detector, the sky opened up and it started pouring rain. No problem, I’m going to get wet anyway, as long as there’s no lightening – I’m good. By the time I got to the beach and the search area, the rain had stopped. No rainbows, but I did get a report of a waterspout less than 5 miles up the beach. I swear, the Big Man upstairs was testing me that day! I started on the line Ron had given me earlier that morning. I started my grid line from the mid tide line and walked out to waist/chest deep water working my way to the south. I’m not sure how far south I went but I was sure I was outside of Ron’s area. I went back to my starting point and started working the grid search north. I did about 10 lines and got a solid hit on my White’s PI. The PI is a great machine, but it has no discrimination, nor does it show any target depth, it just signals there’s some sort of metal underneath the coil. I had already picked up a couple of pull tabs, a few bottle caps and 4 fishing weights, so I figured this was one more piece of junk. A couple of scoop and I had the target out of the hole. I took my foot and spread the sand out, I looked down and saw the Free Mason diamond symbol staring at me. Boom! I just stood there and stared; I couldn’t believe it. What a beautiful ring! I picked it up and walked back to the car to get my phone and take a couple of pictures. I sent a picture of me holding the ring and the ring sitting in the sand to Ron saying, “look familiar?” As I’m driving home, I called him and left a message when he didn’t answer saying “check your text messages and call me.” I figured he was still on the highway driving home. Within a few minutes he called me back and he was so excited he couldn’t talk. I wish I would have been able to hand his ring to him and see his expression, but I’m sure it was one of pure elation and surprise. I’ll get his ring in the mail Tuesday and wait for his picture to post this.

Ron – Thank you so much for trusting me to help find your lost treasure, I was so excited to find it for you. Best Wishes!!!

Jim

Lost White Gold Mens Wedding Band In Laurel Delaware Found

  • from Lewes (Delaware, United States)
Contact:

On 05/30/2022, I received a call from Tim’s wife regarding the loss of his white gold wedding band and a request for help in locating the lost ring. I responded to Tim’s home in Laurel, Delaware at which time he told me that he had been working on his dump truck and that when he was done with the work he found that his wedding band was missing from his finger. Tim said that he did have rubber gloves on his hands and that he had checked the gloves and did not find the ring. Tim believed that his ring was somewhere in the grass under his truck in the driveway. I had Tim move his truck so that I could search the area where it had been parked. After a search of the area that the truck had been parked over as well as the area around it I was unable to find his ring. Tim then dumped out a trash can that he had been using, I searched the trash and again no sign of the lost ring. Tim then said that he had been cleaning out the pool filter in the backyard and asked me to search that area that was covered in leaves. I walked over to the pool filter at which time I located the missing ring next to the pool filter and then returned it to Tim.
