I call this a Pre-Christmas Miracle … It’s really difficult to search for a ring in a house. First of all, normal metal detectors do not work inside of houses because there is electrical interference and many nails, screws, etc. In the construction materials. There are also many hiding places for items as small as a ring. Over the years of doing ring searches, occasionally I will do house searches.  Even if I don’t find the item, I have been told by people that I helped them locate the lost article.

Sara called me three days after she lost her diamond engagement ring in her small home. She was devastated as she only had it for three weeks. I normally suggest places for the person to search and to give it few days before making plans for me to do a search.

We discussed what she remembered and it seemed like I could at least check the most difficult nooks and crannies. I do use an endoscope camera along with mirrors and high intensity lights. Of course there seems to be a few places that I can use the handheld metal detector ( pinpointer ). I set up to meet Sara the next day. Later after to call, I texted Sara, asking her not to throw the trash away even though she had told me she searched it.

Long story, short! After two hours in the three rooms she had been the morning of the loss. I gave Sara my my ”I can’t find it” pitch,  giving her hope that she still had many places it could hide and from my experience with these searches, it will show up.

Then I remembered that I had not checked the trash bags that she had set outside the on the steps. We dawned our rubber gloves. We proceeded to go through each hand full of trash using my pinpointer detector. Just before getting to the bottom of the first bag of trash there was a glimmer of yellow gold on the very bottom. It was Sara’s beautiful gold diamond engagement ring. Sara had missed it when she searched the trash, day one. I came very close to forgetting to search this trash bag.

”I Believe In Miracles ”.. I hope I never take these miracles for granted.

It’s beyond words to express what I saw watching Sara at the moment we spotted the ring in the bottom of the trash. After the first few minutes passed, she got on her phone calling her loved ones with the good news.

Lost Gold Engagement Ring, Found in Snow in Bluemont, Virginia

  • from Leesburg (Virginia, United States)

Call MyGoldFinder for lost items 571.258.7217.

I received a call from Katlyn on Monday evening stating she had lost her engagement ring while out building snowmen and sledding in her back yard. Her husband, Tony, was going to use a borrowed detector and some help from a friend to see if they could recover the ring that night and if  he didn’t have any luck would ask me come out the next day. Unfortunately, they did not have any luck finding Katlyn’s ring so we arranged for me to come out the next day.

Upon arriving at Katlyn and Tony’s home I noticed the large area to the left of the property where I presumed the ring had been lost, it was quite large, but I wasn’t daunted by the challenge for this recovery. Tony gave me a quick rundown of the activities and shortly I went to work. I setup a flag grid pattern across an approximate 50 yard by 50 yard area then started to conduct a slow search within each grind pattern. I extended my searches slightly on each grid section just to get some additional ground covered, but after almost two hours no luck in finding the ring; lots of junk metal and shell casings. So at this point I initiated a search beyond the first major grid section to see if the ring had possibly been thrown in another area. After about another 15 minutes I picked up a strong hit at the top of the grid and after moving a little snow there shining just under the surface in the snow was Katlyn’s beautiful engagement ring.

As I turned towards the house Katlyn was at the back door watching and I held the ring up high as my sign it was found. She immediately opened the door and with excitement in her voice yelled across the field, “You found it!??” Katlyn was just overwhelmed with emotion that she was reunited with her recently received engagement ring (Tony gave it to her in July of this year) and with tears of joy and a beautiful smile she gave me the biggest hug of gratitude.

It’s always these special moments that make our work so worthwhile!  Tony and Katlyn are a wonderful young couple and I’m just honored they called me and I was able to ensure their Holiday season was one to remember.

Lost ring Warwick NY… Found

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)

I received a call from a very upset woman who had lost her wedding ring in the parking lot of the Ford dealership in Warwick, NY.  She said that it was in a grassy area not too close to the cars, so I hoped that on arrival I would be able to detect the area.  When I arrived, I was happy to see that there were no cars in the area where the ring was lost, and I was able to search the area with no problems!  After a quick 5 minute search, I got lucky and found the ring.  It really helped that the woman had an excellent idea of where the ring had been lost which really narrowed down the search area!  It’s always an amazing feeling to return a ring to the owner!  So happy I could help out!

Lost ring Denville NJ… Found

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)

I received a late-night email from James asking for my help locating his wedding ring.  He said that he had been raking and bagging leaves earlier in the day and the ring had come off his finger.  We made plans to meet the next day and search for the ring.  When I arrived he had about 12-14 bags of leaves ready to scan with my detector.  We went bag by bag and got lucky around bag number six!  It was the second metal object that we pulled out of that bag and probably the 4th or 5th metal object that was in the leaf bags overall!  I was amped to be able to help return the ring to him!

Lost iPhone West Orange…. Found

  • from Millburn (New Jersey, United States)

I saw a post in my local community group about a young girl that had lost her iPhone while sledding.  I responded to the post that I would be happy to help find the phone and left my ringfinder.com link.  I was excited when I received a call from Anusha, the girl’s mom, requesting my help.  She said they had used the find my phone feature to locate the phone within about a 10-foot radius and offered for me to follow them to the location as there were several sledding hills on the road.  I followed them to the site and they showed me approximately where the phone was pinpointed with the find my phone feature.  I spent about 90 minutes working my way down the hill when I found the phone completely covered by snow!  I was happy to reunite iPhone and owner!

Got a call from a young man about a ring that had been lost in the snow while filming a music video.  He had already bought a metal detector from Wal-mart and tried to locate the ring with no sucess.  He told me was there was footage of the ring on his finger and footage of the ring off his finger, so I had an excellent idea of the location of the ring and knew I could help out.  When I got there, he  showed me right to the area and within ten minuntes I was able to locate the ring under the snow and return it!  I love the happy endings when I can return rings to their owners!

… Most people that play volleyball often do not wear jewelry. What usually happens is they lose their ring the one time they forget to take off before playing. Sometimes they feel it come off but that doesn’t mean they can find it in the sand without experienced help.

Ava was playing volleyball on the sand with her friends at Newport Beach, CA. She felt her ring fly off her finger into the sand. She and her friends spent a couple hours crawling through the sand searching for her sentimental gold ring.

Somebody on the beach recommended that they search google for a metal detector specialist.

They contacted me and I was able to meet them at the location shortly after talking to them. Parking was not a problem so I walked a short distance to meet Ava. I wish all searches were this easy. After setting up my detector, I was recovered the ring on the second grid line about 4” deep in the dry sand. Quick and easy but it’s surprising how many people give up on finding small metallic items lost in the sand.

Ava and her friends were surprised that it was found exactly where they had spent so much time digging through the sands.

Quentin was finishing up a job in a new housing development and the small basketball court was in need of some extra sod around the four light poles. One of his workers showed up with a few squares of sod and being as it was Friday, Quentin was anxious to get the sod laid and the job wrapped up. Unfortunately he did not have a shovel or machete to cut the sod into proper pieces so he used his hammer in a desperate attempt to make the pieces fit. There were places where the dirt needed to be leveled out and he used his hands to move the dirt around and as he was finishing up on the fourth pole he looked at his hand and realized that his wedding ring was missing. Quentin has only been married for one year and to think that he had already lost his precious wedding ring made him feel quite uneasy.

He was 99% sure he lost it while working with the sod and he began to search thru the thick grass, thinking surely he would be able to spot it. After walking over the whole area a couple of times he began to think that maybe he ought to consider renting or buying a cheap metal detector. So he typed “Metal detector rental” into his phone and found something even better! Theringfinders.com!!

(I always take photos and write a short story about each and every successful search and I use a good title and tags that will help people find our amazing and very helpful service. Read more of my stories and reviews on www.theringfinders.com web site and see first hand how we can help those in need of our unique services.)

I met Quentin on site and carefully grid searched the whole area thinking surely I would find his lost wedding ring hiding in the grass. But not so quickly! I soon realized that with my Garrett, ATMax metal detector I could only get so close to the large metal light pole bases and that I would need to detect closer so I opted to use my trusty Garrett pin pointer. And sure enough on the fourth and final pole my pin pointer gave a great response to a hidden metallic item tucked into a small corner…and lo and behold…there hidden just under the grass was Quentin’s lost wedding ring! Quentin was stunned and thrilled all in one and the relief was obvious on his face. It wasn’t the Friday Quentin originally thought it would be but he was super glad for the way it turned out in the end.

The Culprit

Question is: Did Laser eat my Earring and Ring?

Jesse called me on Thursday requesting my service to locate a missing ring and earring.  Jesse said the ring went missing about one month ago, and the earring went missing two weeks ago from his bedroom dresser table.  The only possible culprit was his six month old dog Laser!

After asking Jesse several questions like; how was Laser feeling, did he have any signs of discomfort, and was he his normal self Jesse replied that he was fine so my next question was; is Laser a free roamer on the acreage?  Jesse replied no, that he is always let out into his dog run which is huge,  about 80’ x 80’ and that his daily deposits were still frozen on the ground.  I thought to myself, “hmmm interesting”, wonder which pile the ring could be in and also the earring!

I agreed to meet up with him Saturday morning.  When I arrived at the acreage I met Jesse and Andria.  They showed me the dog run where I met Laser. Andria told me about Laser, how he is obsessive with his toys and rocks, and eats anything that a six month old dog would do. When wearing her rings he would lick her hands.  Andria was positive that he ate the ring and also her earring, as two weeks ago she had found her jewellery box on the floor in her bedroom and one of her earrings was missing.

After searching about one hour the ring was found in a nice pile in the corner of the yard.  My next question was where is the earring?  I told Jesse that I needed the other earring so that I could tune my detector to it.

I carefully searched for the earring where the ring was found but had no luck. I decided to search the other corner of the yard and knowing how hard earrings are to find I began very slowly and low scan search each inch and finally I heard a faint tone! I called Jesse over and told him “there IT IS”!   He looked but could not see because the earring was inside this pile! LOL, and again I said “this is it”!  He could not believe his eyes when we took the pile in to be washed out and there was Andria’s beautiful diamond earring!

Jesse and Andria was over the moon that her ring and earring was back where they belonged!

Another very happy client!  Thank you, Jesse and Andria, for entrusting me to find your missing jewellery in a very unusual location. Yes, Laser was definitely the culprit!

Lost Wedding Band in Burnaby BC…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Chris Turner- Ring Recovery Specialist…Lost your ring?… Metal Detecting Service/Call ASAP  Anytime   778-838-3463

I received a call for help yesterday while I was at work, the young man told me he lost his wedding band at a frisbee golf course in Burnaby. He went on to tell me that the ring came off when he threw his frisbee down to the ground. It was getting dark and he searched for 45 minutes with no success. The next day he went back and search for over an hour with his fingers going through the grass and mud in hopes that he could pull out the ring.

They found TheRingFinders through a friend from his frisbee group who told him about my service. We met up this morning and he showed me the area where he had lost the ring and even marked it with a stick which is an excellent idea to get me into the area where I could possibly find the ring. After maybe 10 minutes and very close to where he believed the ring had come off his finger… I found his ring just inches into the mud, he must’ve stepped on it while he was looking for it and buried it into the mud and grass. I was able to surprise them both with the ring after maybe 10 minutes of searching.
