Man’s Tungsten Wedding Band Lost in the Surf – Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

I got an email, followed up by a phone call, from Joe G. visiting here with his family from Ohio. Joe said he had lost his Tungsten wedding band in the surf and was wondering if I could help find it. I got the details, told him I’d be there in 20 minutes and asked him to alert the gate guard that I’d be coming.

When I got there Joe’s dad, Russell, was waiting at the gate to escort me to the beach area. Shortly after Russell and I got to the approximate area, Joe showed up and put me just about dead on the spot. On my 2nd pass I got the signal but on my third scoop I was wondering if I had Joe’s ring because this was deeper than I thought it should be in this short amount of time. I flattened out the sand I had scooped and saw the outline of a ring, brushed it off and it was the right one!!! Joe and Russell were both amazed we found it. Joe’s wife Maria and his mother were looking down from the resort balcony as Joe waved that we had it.

Joe and Maria, thank you so much for trusting in me to help find your lost treasure. Enjoy your last night in town and have a safe trip back home.

Man’s Tungsten Wedding Band Lost in the Ocean, Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach SC

After having two unsuccessful ring hunts today, one being on a golf course and the other “possibly” lost in the wet sand two days ago, I was ready for a change in luck. As I was leaving the beach on the second hunt I checked my e-mail and saw mail from Philip N. saying he lost his Tungsten Wedding band in about 2 foot of water earlier in the afternoon and wondered if I could help find it. I e-mailed him back saying I was on my way and to call me.

About five minutes out Philip called and we agreed to meet on the beach. As I’m walking out on the beach I see a young man walking along the surf line looking a little desperate, we greeted and I had him explain what had happened. He said he and his friends had been throwing a ball around when his ring flew off his finger. This is never a good thing because judging the flight of a ring isn’t always possible especially in the ocean. I told him that he didn’t need to stick around and to go ahead and get some dinner with his buddies and that I’d call “when” I found it. I started my grid search a good 15 feet outside his suspected area and on my second pass in knee deep water, I got a banging signal. I think the search and recovery time was 2-3 minutes. I walked off the beach and across the street to the rental house they were staying in. Philip and a few of his buddies were sitting out on the balcony wondering why I was finished so quickly. As I held up my finger with his ring on it, I asked him if his ring looked like this. I think he literally flew down the stairs.

Philip thank you for contacting me and trusting in me to find and return your ring. Sorry I didn’t get the opportunity to meet your wife but I’m sure she was excited to hear the good news!!! Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Lost Wedding / Engagement Ring set Recovered in Mayo Lake on 6/10/17 in Roxboro N.C.

This ring was recovered in Mayo Lake in Roxboro, N.C. on 6-10-17.

I will keep this story short but a couple weeks ago I received a call from a gentleman about a ring his wife lost in the lake. He explained that she lost it in the water about six weeks ago and he would like to try to recover the ring.  After speaking with him about the details I agreed to meet him there on Saturday 6-3-17 to try to find it. When I got there I spoke with him more and we went down to the water with all my dive gear. I suited up and tried to find it but had to kill the dive after about a hour in the water because of poor diving conditions and poor visibilty I could not even see to read my gauges on my console. thats how bad the water was mucked up. I came back on 6-10-17 to try again as I don’t like to give up on a ring search if I can help it. This time when I came I came to try a better way since I knew how bad the conditions were from my previous Dive search. This time I brought a extra tank of air so I could search longer and I brought some blocks and rope so I could run some guide lines through the area of interest to make my searching easier by following the guide lines in a grid search patturn. I set up my lines and started my search. About 25-30 minutes in to my search in about 20 feet of water I found a ring but it was only part of the ring I was looking for. The ring I was trying to find was a ring that sat in middle of two bands the was put together in the shape of a U. The piece I found was the center part but I still needed to find the other piece. After taking a a break I began my seach again and following my lines more I was able to find the rest of the ring also in about another 45 minutes also in 20 feet of water. I was very happy to help them out and glad they were able to get it back as this was not a easy search. Even a pro diver would of had trouble finding this one. Enclosed is a photo of the ring.

Lost Ring in Breaux Bridge, LA. – FOUND

Bridgette lost her ring at an RV park near Lafayette. She was playing volleyball at the time. After she, her husband and several friends searched the court without success, they looked for expert help. At first, her husband had a hard time believing people really do look for other’s lost jewelry. After he accepted the fact, he called Sid.  Sid was heading out of town, so he had him call Carrie to help out. Carrie enlisted her son, James to help her. James had been on only one other hunt with her, finding his first and only pull tab. It had rained during the night and there was more volleyball played on the court, probably driving the ring deeper.

Carrie and James took the 30 minute drive to the site. After clearing security, getting a description of the ring (a white gold, antiqued diamond ring) from Bridgette and answering questions from other park guests, many of whom had helped search the night before, Carrie and James began. The area was real clean and within 10 minutes, James got his first strong signal. Four inches down was the ring. The look on Bridgette’s, and James’, faces were priceless. Way to go James. I don’t think we will have any trouble getting James to help us again. Thank you Bridgette for the generous reward. This helps us continue to put smiles on people’s faces. By the way, this was Carrie’s turn to find only a pull tab.

2 Week old wedding band recovered!

Received a call last weekend for a wedding band that slipped off and fell into the bay off a boat slip finger dock. It was just about high tide when the owners called but I took a ride to see the area in the daylight and get an idea of where the owners believed it may be. They did a great job of pinpointing the area. At this point the ring was in well over 12ft of water so I assured the owner that I would come back at low tide and attempt to recover the ring. Met back up at 11 pm and after poking around in the stinking black back bay muck for about 20 minutes, out popped this beauty. Another successful recovery!

Wedding ring set recovered in Washington Park, Denver, Colorado

Saturday morning after returning home from a previous successful ring search Nicholle called me to ask for help. Earlier that day she and her husband had been in Washington Park doing some activities with friends when she lost her white gold wedding band and engagement ring. I loaded up some equipment and headed out again, I was at the park in a half hour. Nicholle showed me the location and video of a three-legged race and wheel barrel race that they had participated in. Though in the video her rings were not visible so she started to question if she even put on her rings that morning. I grabbed my CTX and began my search, after about 20 minutes of search with no luck Nicholle and Ian headed home to search for her rings leaving me in the park to continue my search. About 15 minutes later Nicholle’s wedding band was in my hand. I knew her engagement ring had to be near by, a couple of swings later the set was complete once again. I texted Nicholle and told her I wanted a big hug and then I sent a picture of her rings.
When they returned to the park Nicholle came sprinting up to me and launched herself from 4 feet away and gave me a hug that made people walking in the park stop and look. To say she was happy would be a HUGE understatement. What a great feeling to help out people like Nicholle and Ian.

Wedding band lost in Littleton yard recovered

Tom was out doing yard work patching bare spots and adding soil when he noticed his platinum wedding band was missing. He spent some time searching for the ring with a metal detector that he had but due to lack of experience with finding rings he had no luck. He called me while I was out of state and we set an appointment for me to do a search when I returned to town Saturday morning.
Saturday morning came around and I arrived for my search. Tom showed me the yard and the areas had worked in. There was metal yard edging that was along the whole area of my search so I knew that it would be a bit more difficult of a search. I grabbed my CTX and began my search after just a few minutes search Tom’s ring was revealed from its hiding spot in the fresh soil.

Lost Wedding Ring Recovered! Fort Meade, Maryland!

This past Sunday I found myself back on the base at Fort Meade to look for a lost wedding ring. I’m starting to think that the late Civil War General George Meade might have a fondness for rings as this makes my 3rd time on the base to help someone out! Here is Nichole and her story…….

My husband lost his wedding band during PT when they were playing football. We tried searching for the ring on the field, but couldn’t find it. We were convinced it would be lost for good until we came upon Ring Finders. We decided to hire Jim because he has rescued other lost rings from Fort Meade and his ratings are phenomenal. We emailed him the day after the ring was lost, and he met us the next day to help us find it. Jim found the ring within a few hours and we are extremely thankful! Jim is persistent and truly cares about finding your lost ring and with his professional equipment and persistence, we were reunited with the lost ring! Hopefully we never lose another ring, but if we do, Jim will be the first one we contact.

Lost Gold & Ruby Ring in West Vancouver…Found!

I was at work when the 911 call came in for a lost ring, I talked to the young lady and she was crying on the other end and I felt bad for her but felt I could find the ring so I told her to relax, I told her I would be there as soon as I was done work.

When I got there it wasn’t looking good as from what she described as being sandy turned out to be mostly concrete side walk with less then 5% sand in one little section by the log.

She took her ring off and placed it on her bag and forgot and picked up he bag to go home…Well she remembered that she did that 15 minutes after she had left the park/beach.

I started my search where she showed me where she put her bag down on the log, I searched both sides of the log and the side closest to the sidewalk and nothing. I could see where she had been searching for the ring as the sand was disturbed in that area, I started to work further down the log for the ”what if factor” well almost at the end of the log and tucked close to the log was her ring!

 

 

It was like magic! When you are about to give up the search and then at the very end of your search the ring shows its self…Magic! I was so happy for the young lady to be able to help continue the story that ring came with.

Lost wedding ring, Apopka, Florida……Found!

Scott was playing with a football in the pool with his son and some friends and as they finished up he noticed his wedding ring, of 12 years, was not on his finger. So he immediately started searching in the pool thinking that was the most likely place where it probably slipped off while he was swimming. Scott is a certified diver and had no trouble checking all the corners and crevices where his ring could have been hiding–but he came up empty handed. That led him and his friends to search the deck area around the pool and along the fence surrounding the deck. And still no ring. Along the outside of the fence was a row of 5 foot hedge type bushes that gave the pool area some privacy and it was very likely that the lost ring could be hiding either in the bushes themselves or at the base of one of them. Scott and his friends spent a few more hours searching those areas and still could not seem to find his lost ring. The next day they packed up and headed home to the Tampa area and Scott was not happy to be leaving his wedding ring behind. He kept thinking that there had to be a way to find his ring, and that thought led him to search on Google “What do I do when I lose my ring?” and up came one of theringfinders.com stories. So Scott called me and explained what all happened and described the pool area quite well. I asked him to contact the Holiday Inn Express manager and ask for permission to conduct a thorough search of the pool area.
When I arrived later that day the skies were cloudy and rain was threatening. It turned out to be a very tough search and took me 5 hours to finally find Scott’s lost ring. Thankfully the hotel manager left the pool lights on and Scott’s ring had landed in the grass at the far end of the pool on the other side of the hedges!
