Platinum wedding ring lost in yard found by Dennis Burlingame

Was just leaving the beach i was detecting with my buddy Keith when I got a call from Louis. He was playing wiffle ball and his ring flew off throwing the ball.Told him we were leaving the beach and would stop by but would take about half hour to drive there. When we got there Louis pretty much knew the area the ring should be so Keith and I starting detecting. There were a good amount of targets in the yard, the grass was thick but it helped that the ring wasn’t buried but it was stepped on at one time making it stuck in the ground some, but after about 20 minutes out pops the ring. After a few high fives, and a lot of smiles, we were on our way home feeling good after a great recovery.

Gold Ring Survives a SIX Story Drop…by John Volek TRF-Houston

Gold Ring Survives a SIX Story Drop…by John Volek TRF-Houston

I was contacted by Denis a residence of Houston, Texas, who was looking for someone to help him find his lost gold ring.

Denis reported he lives in a high rise condominium and was relaxing on his sixth story balcony when he had the misfortune of losing a family heirloom…his grandmothers gold ring.

Denis said he wears the ring on his pinky, and he was adjusting it, when it popped off of his finger and took a six story plunge into the landscaping below.

Denis said, he immediately went downstairs and searched the landscaping and grassy area below, but was unable to find his grandmothers gold ring.

Upon arriving the following day, Denis outlined the area that needed to be searched…not moments later I observed the gold ring lying in some mulch near some bushes…no metal detector required!

Denis was quite happy to be reunited with his missing ring…

Sentimental Ring Recovered Huntington Beach , CA

I was metal detecting with my brand new detector for the very first time, looking for some treasure. I found a 1958 Wheat Penny and soon after I was approached by Karen who asked if I could help find her lost ring. I explained to her that I belong to The Ring Finders and would be glad to help her. She told me she was visiting from Mexico and her Mother had given her the Ring. We walked to the area where the Ring went missing and I began my search. My confidence was high even though I was using a new detector because she seemed very sure where she had lost it. I found her Ring in about 10 minutes, Karen was very happy to have the Ring her Mother gave her back in her possession.

Diamond ring recovery found by Dennis Burlingame

Was asked not to give out to much info on this recovery, got a call at work from a woman who asked if I could help find her ring on the beach. Without to much detail as per her request, she stopped at the beach after a night on the town and managed to loose her ring. Met her after work and we went to where she was, wasn’t to hard to figure where she was with only one patch of foot prints on the beach from the night before. Started searching the area and half way through got the tone i was looking for. After a BIG hug and a nice smile , ring was reunited with the hand it belongs on.

Caledon, Ontario~Lost wedding band at a private retreat~still awaiting it’s owner to pick up

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-09-04 Caledon, Ontario

I local girlfriend Sarah had read some of my ring recoveries & returns posted on my Facebook page from The Ring Finders clients.

She asked to see if I could find rings underwater and I advised that I am scuba certified (open water) and have all the gear.

Sarah discussed that a patron of the Private retreat location had lost his wedding band about 4 years ago. She advise that the water is a very cold because it was a spring fed pond.

I gathered up all my gear and scuba tanks. I really love my Minelab Excallibur2 water detector but also brought along a new piece of equipment called the “Scuba Tector”. It’s a small hand held unit for tight locations or rocky/hard to get to spots.

I started at the location of the lost ring and boy was Sarah right….water was freezing the deeper I got. With-in 15 minutes I had a great tone with the Excal2 but due to the low visibility with the sediment I couldn’t locate it. I turned on the Scuba Tector and pulled out the 14k white gold wedding band!! Sarah also mentioned missing Ray Ban sunglasses further over!! I tried for another hour but no luck.

They called the gentleman whom had left his phone # and left a message. The gentleman was now working in Hawaii but was coming back for Canadian Thanksgiving. Unfortunately no update if he’s picked up his ring!!

Wasaga Beach, Ontario~Platinum wedding ring returned from the waters 150′ from shore

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2017-08-25 – Wasaga Beach, Ontario

Received a call from Rob G who lost his ring playing rugby in the waters of Wasaga Beach.

Rob & his wife Kerah took visiting Friends from England to Wasaga’s Beach #3 (pet friendly area) for a full day with the dog’s. Rob was in the water 150′ from shore playing water Rugby and off flew his wedding band. Rob’s English friends mentioned that in the UK there are metal detectorists that help with people losing items and decided to try and search Google. “The Ring Finders” site came up on his search and found my information.

I took Rob’s information and decided to head up and start searching. Unfortunately I didn’t have any luck the first day out. The following day Kerah met me at the beach and had a better location. It took about an hour and surprised Kerah when I came back into shore for some water. She was totally amazed I could find her husbands wedding band that far out from shore.

YEAH….another donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Foundation’s Snow Run Feb 2/3/4, 2018!!

Here’s a link to the video!!

Wedding Set, Snow recovery at the Jersey Shore found by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Andrew asking if I could help find his wife’s Kelly wedding set she lost in the snow while playing with her child. Told him I could be there the next morning. When I got the I was greeted by Kelly and she showed me the area she felt the rings come off when she brushed the snow off. There were multiple targets in the ground so I had to check them all but after a bit I came across the first ring and knew the second one wasn’t to far away. A few more swings of the detector and out comes the second ring. I’m glad I could reunite Kelly with her rings and just seeing that big smile that comes when I find it is all worth it. Another Happy recovery……

I Phone 7 recovered in Asbury Park NJ found by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call from Jerry who was enjoying Labor Day on Asbury Park Beach when he noticed his I Phone was missing. With the help of a friend who found RingFinders he found me. It was starting to get dark so I headed there right away. When I got there they were waiting for me on the boardwalk, and took me where they were sitting on the beach that day. Wasn’t sure how it was going to go because a phone doesn’t always sink into the sand and was hoping no one didn’t see it and took it on him. I searched the area and came up empty, then he told me they were sitting by the water for awhile which was now the high tide line. Did the wet sand just off the dry and heard that high tone I was waiting for. I didn’t bring my scoop because I didn’t want to scratch the phone so I started to dig with my foot and about 7 inches down out popped his phone. Thanks goodness it was water proof being in the wet sand, it turned on with no problem. Another Happy Ending, glad I could help.

Engagement ring recovered in Long Branch NJ found by Dennis Burlingame

Got a call on Sunday the 20th from a frantic mom who was on the beach with her family. Seems her daughter in law to be took off her engagement ring that was only 3 weeks old to put on lotion and placed it on a towel and someone moved the towel and the ring was gone. Her son was going to run out and buy a detector when another woman who saw what was going on found RingFinder’s and gave her my number. Told her I’d be there as soon as I could to help find the ring. Took the 20 minute ride and was on the beach in no time. They showed me the area they were sitting, first target turned out to be a penny but 3 feet away out popped her ring. Everyone on the beach started to clap. It was again great to see all the smiles and to reunite someone with their loved ring. Best wishes to the soon to be Happy Couple. ( sorry no close up on ring, got to remember that )
