Levi called me last week regarding his lost Key fob, which had been lost three days prior in a ravine! Levi searched for them but with no luck, and knowing how expensive it is to replace these key fobs he turned to the internet and found me on the Ringfinders web site.
When I met Levi at the park he showed me the location and said he had been throwing a ball for his dog down the ravine. When he went down to get the ball he slipped where there was tall grass and he thought his keys might be there but that was not the case! After searching for about one hour and asking questions I decide to look around above the ravine where Levi had parked his car. He showed me the direction he had walked to his car and said it was also how he walked back. I found his key fob forty feet in the other direction! Yuliia took a walk south from The main Silver Strand State Beach, and with a simple hand movement, her wedding ring (a combination of 3 separate interlocking rings) flew off her finger and into the sand. She found my name on The Ring Finders site and gave me a call a couple of days later. We arranged to meet at the parking lot the following morning. My wife and I arrived at the prescribed time, met Yuliia, and we all took the mile walk south to the search area. Much to Yuliia’s credit, she took GPS coordinates and also remembered a particular log that was near where she lost the ring(s). She found the spot and I started my search. One short pass and a half and my first signal was a nice strong 10-11 on my Equinox. Out came the pin pointer and just and inch or two under the sand was her rings. I received a message from Gary asking if I could find a well-head. I had to ask if it was made of metal, as I don’t know anything about well-heads. He said yes, so I said yes. Then he said it was paved over with asphalt. I said I would try.
We met the following weekend. Gary showed me the area that he thought the well was in. It is in the parking lot of bustling strip stores. There are 12 well-heads on the property. They know where 11 of them are. I asked if he had blueprints that I could see. He didn’t, but he had an old hand-made drawing that didn’t have the additions of the new buildings. I looked at the picture and hoped that the driveway was in the same place before the new construction.
I started my search. Within 10 minutes, I had 2 good hits that could be what we were looking for. I went over to one of the known wells to check out the signal it gave off. It gave off 2 loud signals within 3 feet of each other, just like I found. Gary painted marks on the parking lot. Gary said that he would have one of his construction crews dig it up the following day.
The next day Gary sent me a picture of the well-head. He said that he wasn’t aware that a service like this was available. He works for a large construction company that is always looking for metal objects. I told him to keep my information and number, and I would be glad to help him out. He said he would be calling a lot.
March 15th 2021: Found a wedding band and engagement ring lost while playing softball.
Jocelyn, her husband and friends were playing family style softball in a field behind their house. She removed her beautiful rings and put them in her pocket before starting to play. After the game, she found her rings missing! Family and friends searched the field for several hours. They even borrowed a metal detector and a rake, to no avail.

Jocelyn then turned to the internet to seek professional help. She found my contact information on The Ring Finders site (https://theringfinders.com/Rob.Ellis/) and texted me the next morning. I made the 2 hour drive to Midlothian, Virginia to assist Jocelyn. When we met, I could see the disappointment in her eyes. She probably thought the rings were gone for good. After showing me the field, I assured her there was a good chance of recovery.
First Ring
I began my search pattern in the area behind “home plate” and worked toward the “outfield”. I searched into the woods several feet on either side of the field. Within 40 minutes I located Jocelyn’s wedding band to the right side of the home plate area. I left the ring exactly where I’d found it, marking the location by sticking a pencil into the ground.
2nd Ring
Over the next hour and 20 minutes, I searched the rest of the field. I then expanded the search area behind “home plate” and recovered the second ring. I marked the location of the second ring using a softball.
I sent a text to Jocelyn asking her to join me. When she arrived, I showed her the pencil indicating the location of her wedding band. She was incredibly happy to have her wedding band back, but the engagement ring held more sentimental value. I then asked her to pick-up the softball and, to her amazement, there was the ring. We both shared the delight and relief of finding her treasures.

Did a ring recovery today. Ring was a custom made gold ring, no marking. It had been lost for two years. Returned to the owner at his business “GARDEN SUPPLY COMPANY” in Cary NC.
He’s a bee keeper too and was tending to some bees when some got under his hood. As he rare back and swatted from behind the ring went flying backwards, he thought forward, so I spent most of my time searching in that area. After about 2 hours and no luck, I decided to spread my search out.
After about another 30-40 mins and digging everything! I get a 51-53 signal! I barely put my digging tool in the ground and I see shiny edge pop up. Pluck it out and BOOM GOLD RING BABY!!!

So I got a call from William who lost his 10K solid gold bracelet from his grandfather, that was given to him by his grandfather just before he passed away. He believed he lost it while at the cemetery near Keswick Ridge, NB or possibly at his parents house in Fredericton, New Brunswick, while cleaning the front and back yard. To make it even worse it snowed for the next few nights covering the area. He had spent days on hands and knees trying to locate it and finally decided to look online for a metal detector rental, but found TheRingFinders and me instead. To say he was taken aback is an understatement and I could hear hear the families reaction over the phone as he told them it had just been found.
