Lost Diamond Wedding Rings In Home Recovery Bellevue WA

Two days after Thanksgiving I was called out to Belleview for an in home search of a lost 4.5 carat diamond wedding ring set.  From our over the phone interview I had very strong belief that the rings were still on the property and we had a very strong chance of recovery. Even though my primary focus is recovery via metal detection typically in outside environments I agreed to drop by to help assist in this in home search effort.

Ashley had already confirmed from her in home security video she had the rings on when she came home Thanksgiving evening. She clearly remembered taking them off specifically to put some hand lotion on while sitting in her front living room and the next morning the rings had simply disappeared no where to be found! Once again our dreaded hand lotion scenario has caused a pair of rings to go missing… 

She also confirmed no one but her family had been in the home since the loss. We had a few ideas that stated to develop as I continued to ask a lot of questions through my investigative process gaining clarity of the events that took place.

She wasn’t quite sure if she put the rings in an empty ziplock package from her bathroom for safe keeping, in her robe pocket or simply on their coffee table. Fortunately they saved all the household garbage in case the rings some how got tossed away. She also told me the next morning with the same robe on she bent over out the from door to pickup up a package from the porch when her phone fell out of her pocket crashing to the floor. It was certainly possibly the rings could have fallen out as well and landed under the shrubs outside.

I also ask her about her four year old daughter if she had ever shown any attention towards mommies rings. She side her girl has but had not ever run off with them before. I still keep this as a very likely possibility in mind.

Lost Men’s Gold Wedding Band Recovered in Sunny Isles Beach, FL

I was on my way to the grocery store when I received a call from Jerrica – her husband had just lost his gold wedding band in the Atlantic Ocean off of Sunny Isles Beach, FL. I did a quick U-turn for home, changed into my water detecting outfit and grabbed my CTX 3030.

They made a smart move by coming to the Ring Finders website and finding me so quickly. Because they stayed put and were patient, they were able to accurately point me toward the water right where they believed the ring came off. They were able to describe it and remembered feeling it come loose in the water.

I expected a long hunt because it is a very popular stretch of beach in Sunny Isles Beach, FL – lots of tourists and a fair amount of aluminum trash too. But to my surprise (and theirs), the ring popped up in my first target signal.

I loved seeing the excitement from them and their friends who were shocked at how quickly it was found. All because they had the patience and quick thinking to call right away!

Eagle Harbor Bainbridge WA Underwater Wedding Ring Recovery

Teresa called me asking for my help in recovering her lost gold diamond wedding ring of twenty-seven years. She told me the story that started several month prior. Teresa and her husband has just returned from a sailing voyage and on this day they were having a relaxing party on their boat as it was docked in their Eagle Harbor slip. Teresa remembers she was fidgeting with her ring finger and some how she managed to shoot the ring off her finger, it flew threw her hair, over the sail boat railing and down into the water below. Her husband witness the whole event and confirmed that the ring was in fact resting in the bottom of the Puget Sound waters.

After this the couple hired a young local diver that had been doing some underwater boat work but he had no success. Teresa’s husband a former dive instructor took a turn and could not locate the ring. They then called upon an old friend a professional diver that brought along a metal detector. He came up with a bucket full of trash but no diamond ring. Teresa’s husband took another dive with the metal detector and still no ring was found. At this point everyone was felling rather hopeless it wold ever be recoverd.

One of Teresa’s coworkers suggested in a joking manner why not get a replacement ring since your old you soon won’t remember the difference anyway.

After thinking if over Teresa went to a jewelry store that was having a going out of business sales event. She explained her story as she picked out a replacement ring from a catalog. Where her special order arrived after she paid for the ring she had immediate buyers remouse and graciously the jeweler refunded her money and took the ring back. However he did look her straight in the eyes and said you will never get that old ring back.

At this pint Teressa wad determined to find a way to get her diamond wedding ring recovered. She remembered hearing something about TheRingFinders and thankfully she did!

Lost White Gold Wedding ring lost in CDA Idaho, Was Found!!

The same choices made everyday are often the same choices made right before one might lose their ring. Likewise for Jamie, when her husband had come home she brought out her two wound up dogs for their moonlight walk. The air’s cool grip clung on tight that night but never the less when the walk was finished the dogs, Jamie’s husband and Jamie all had fun playing around in the pile of leaves. The playing in the leaves came to a close and the family retired back into the house. Upon a quick glance and with a rapid heart beat “my ring is missing” slipped out of Jamie’s mouth. The search was on. Flashlights and retraced steps left both Jamie and her husband at a loss. The next morning the dogs where lethargic with Jamie’s sadness. The only thing Jamie could possibly do was surfed the web for answers. The Knot, a wedding website, told her to call The Ring Finders. So Jamie sent me a frantic text, “I lost my ring are you still available?” I quickly called her and talked about the unfortunate night she had been through and then made arrangements to meet her after work. I knew that the ring could be anywhere in the leaves, on the path they took, in the yard, or on someone else’s hand. Hopeful I took off on my search. A quick pass in the pile of leaves, a stroll through the yard and back in the pile of leaves lead me straight to her ring. With a bit of confidence I looked over my shoulder at Jamie walking beside me and gave her a smile. ” If this signal isn’t your ring I’ll be surprised,”I said. I bent down and slowly pulled back the pile of leaves and revealed Jamie’s lost ring. Lost Wedding Ring… Found Cedar Rapids, Iowa

I received an email from Lynnetia about her husband Aarons lost wedding ring. He had been trimming a tree in their front yard about two weeks ago and realized his ring was missing.

They then purchased a cheaper metal detector and found some things but not his ring. They then found me on the ringfinder site. I went to look for it yesterday and was happy to find it right by the tree.

They were overjoyed that it was found. It was a pleasure to help this nice young couple.

Craig was working in his yard raking leaves. After he came inside he discovered he lost his Custom Wedding Ring. After renting a detector and having no luck, he searched the internet and contacted me. I arranged to meet him and after less than 1 hour, Craig had his ring back.
An awesome ending, I love my job.

Ring lost at Mission Bay found

Michael was out on the beach at Mission Bay in front of his apartment when, while waving to someone, his loose fitting wedding ring flew off into the sand. A search by sifting through the sand proved fruitless, so, an online search was in order where he found The Ring Finders website. When I turned on my phone in the morning, I noticed the text and contacted Michael. We made plans for a 10am meet and search. After arriving, meeting Michael and his lovely wife, we went to the site while talking and getting the ring loss story on the way. The search area was fairly large, but, not ridiculous. All dry sand and maybe 30 X 100 feet or so. I started at one end and after 3-4 passes, several coins, and a dog tag later, his gold wedding band came to light. All smiles on the happy couple now and thank you for the reward.

Lost ring at Mission Beach found

Joe’s buddies were throwing him a bachelor party here in San Diego. Got the beach house, check, got the beer, check, took an Uber to get the Cardiff Crack (a special Tri Tip roast beef sold up the coast a ways), check, hitting the beach and throwing the football around in the water, check. What they forgot was that you should leave jewelry at home and not take them to the beach…..especially out in the ocean. He’s from Arizona, and just started wearing this ring, so, a common rookie mistake :-). The cold water combined with slippery conditions allowed his ring to just fall right off in the waist deep surf. An online search and The Ring Finders popped up with my contact info. I get the call just a hair after high tide, so, we made arrangements to meet a good 5 hours later when the tide would be a lot further out. Makes the search much easier to contend with when you can avoid most of the surf, current, and undertow. I arrive around 8:30 pm and meet Joe at the location. Earlier I had him take some reference points and pace off how far he had been out in the water. These were important details that help narrow the search area and increase the likelihood of success. I started gridding and getting no targets at all…..as in mind-numbingly quiet. After about 4-5 passes, I get a solid 11 and scoop a bottle cap. Rats….even though I figured it wasn’t going to be his size 14 tungsten carbide ring, I was at least hoping for something good. 2 more passes and I get a screaming 20 on my Equinox. Now, that’s more like it! Sure enough, Joe’s ring was in the scoop. He and his buddies were totally amazed and thrilled that Joe’s ring was recovered. Let the bachelor party begin! It will be a lot more pleasant trip home to AZ too, since I just realized that the ring is inscribed with “til death”, which might have been the consequences coming back home without the ring!  Pleasure to meet you Joe, and the bachelor party gang, and thank you for the reward.

Ring lost at La Jolla Shores found

James was here in town for a wedding, and staying at a beach resort at La Jolla Shores. Yesterday was a hot and dry day, so, He was out enjoying the beach and throwing a ball to his cousin in the cool, shallow water in front of the resort. Well, we know the scenario here! Ball gets thrown, and his family crest, signet, heirloom ring decides to take a dip too. Ring hits water, sinks quickly into the sand, and disappears. An online search brings up The Ring Finders website and my contact info. The tide had already receded a bit, and was still heading out, so, my wife and I jumped into the car and headed to the location. We were actually able to find parking not too far away, which two weeks ago would have been impossible on a Saturday afternoon. We meet James out on the beach and he shows us the search area. He makes his best guess at where “ground zero” was and I start a spiral search out from there in the wet sand . Half hour later and no ring, I start a cross grid and expand out beyond my initial grid. Another half hour later and only two targets total, I finally get a sweet, solid 16 on my Equinox just outside my initial search area. Sure enough, James’s ring pops out of the shallow plug of sand. A pleasure to meet you James, and thank you for the reward.

Lost gold wedding ring in Puyallup River recovered

I got a call from Dave and he asked if I was the metal detecting guy. I said, “Yes, what did you loose and where?”. He proceeded to tell me that he was still at the Puyallup River and that he had just lost his gold wedding ring while fishing. I could tell he was quite upset about the situation. After requesting that he take several photos of the exact area and how to mark the location I agreed to do a search the next morning.

Being a river hunt I wasn’t quite sure if a recovery would be successful or not but we had to at the very least give it a shot. Our Great North West is full of faster flowing rivers often making it extremely challenging to recover a ring. However we all know the results of not trying, and no one is happy with that result. Come along for the adventure and see how this lost river ring gets recovered and returned to its very appreciative owner.
