Lost wedding ring two years ago, Orlando, Fl….Found with metal detector!

Recently Robyn was looking on her Facebook and noticed an article about a metal detecting service made up of people who specialize in finding lost jewelry. Two years ago her husband Dave, was doing some yard work pulling weeds around a thick rose bush and ended up loosing his wedding ring in the process. They tried searching for it several times and a neighbor even used a cheap metal detector but ended up striking out! Dave’s wedding ring was a hand-me-down from his grandparents and being a rather thin gold band they had a jeweler custom remake it by adding two other gold bands. Robyn really wanted to find Daves ring and that led to the search for someone to help. It was Fathers Day and what better gift then to try and locate his lost wedding ring and get it back to him on this special day!

After meeting Robyn and Dave and hearing the story of that eventful day two years ago, I set up my Garrett AT Max and began detecting around the bushes where Dave spent most of that day. My very first target was a solid 46 and I thought for sure that was his ring…but not so fast! It turned out to be a small triangular piece of aluminum flashing from the trim around the roof. And the next 20 plus targets all turned out to be very similar items…small pieces of aluminum. (The construction guys must have set up their equipment right there years ago when they did the trim job and dropped all the scrap in one place!). I knew I needed to remove every last piece and it took a good hour using my metal detector. There were places where I could not use my detector so I opted to use my pin pointer…also a Garrett brand item! So I got down on my hands and knees and proceeded to stick the end down into the mulch and dirt probing for Dave’s ring. More aluminum pieces and a few nails here and there. The metal detector would discriminate out the nails and other ferrous (metal) items but my pin pointer detects all metal therefore I was digging a bit more junk targets. Ten minutes later…low and behold I spotted a glimmer of gold in a pile of dirt and I shouted to Robyn, “Hey, hey, hey here you go!!” She let out a holler and came a running!

Again I gave thanks to God for putting me in the exact place and for allowing me to be able to reunite Dave and Robyn with their lost ring!

I received a call from Lexi, upset that she had lost an almost 100 yr old heirloom in the lake. After making arrangements to meet up with her and go over the area, I went to work looking for her priceless ring. The story goes it has been in her family for almost 100 yrs and her late mother passed it down to her and it was the only thing she had left of her moms. It was very precious and important to her. After almost 2 hours of walking back and forth in the area she thought it was, I decided to expand my search area and after about 10 mins, 2-3 targets I got a gold signal and scooped up the signal and peered into the scoop to see a 14k white gold ring. I yelled out to her on the pier, ” I GOT IT IN THE SCOOP!” She said, ‘REALLY?”. I made my way to the ladder and climbed out to show her and hand it back to her. She was so happy and gave me a great big hug, despite me being soaked. It was good to see her smile back on her face. I love what I do, it never gets old!

Silver wedding ring found in school athletic field

I was notified to see if I could search a school athletic field in Clarks Summit, PA for a silver wedding ring. While playing water sports with the kids during their end of year field day, the ring had fallen off in a large field. I arrived to meet my client and he showed me the primary areas where he was playing. Using my Garrett ATPro I began searching in a grid pattern covering a large area. After a little more than an hour of searching I got the loud hit for his ring. He was sitting on the bleachers with his 3 year old when I approached him with his ring. He got chocked up and said he had just been praying with his young son that I would find the ring. A few minutes later his wife arrived and said she had just been praying as well while driving to our location. It was truly a blessing to return his ring and to see the smiles on their faces. This adventure started back in February of 2021.  At that time I had helped our local KIRO morning news talk show anchor locate her lost wedding rings. Out of this exciting recovery effort a radio interview was published showcasing the amazing services of TheRingFinders.com

This piece aired around Valentine’s Day 2021 and grabbed the attention of many people in need of lost item recovery support. One of those that reached out to me was a mother named Janice. She told me that her daughter had been tossing snow balls in their back yard, had lost her wedding ring and they were franticly searching all over when she heard the radio interview. In our initial correspondence I instructed her family to carefully check all gloves and clothing and the surrounding area but to be reassured I was on my way to do a search. My schedule was set to come out quickly there after however before I showed up I got the good news. Janice reported that her daughter had located her wedding ring inside one of the glove’s fingers. I was happy to hear the good news, shared some smiles over the phone and in closing reminded them to keep me in mind anyone else ever needs some lost item recovery help to reach out to me.

Fast forward to May 2021, I received a phone call from Janice again. As the call came across my phone I scratched my head as her name seemed very familiar. She quickly explained her daughters past situation then proceeded to tell me her son just had a recent incident in their same back yard. She told me that he had a bit of a stressful moment and threw an item across the back yard. In doing so his large chunky wedding band launched off his finger at the same time.  They had searched all over with no success and asked if I could pay a visit to look for his ring. Of course I was happy to take the call and meet up with them soon after. 

When I arrived her son, Tim, explained he had tossed a bottle across the yard and his ring flew off. I reassured them that we all have our moments but not to worry that his ring was some place in the yard and being that this was a recent incident we had a great opportunity in finding his ring. He describe his ring as a chunky black wedding band with flat sides like a hex nut. 

After searching the yard with my medal detectors and visually searching several hiding places with a bright flashlight in hand I eventually made my way back to my starting point. This is where I located his ring no more than maybe a few feet from where he had made his initial toss. His big chunky tungsten carbide wedding band was found laying obscured by some thick grass just waiting to be discovered by my medal detector.

Tim and his family were happy to see the ring recovered and back on his finger. All was well once again with smiles and appreciation for Tim’s recovered wedding ring.

Lost Wedding Band Found In Atlantic Beach, NC By Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Daniel and his family were enjoying the beach at Fort Macon State Park.  Daniel removed his wedding band before heading into the water.  It wasn’t until they returned to their vehicle that Daniel realized he didn’t put his ring back on his finger.  His wife Shanta found Crystal Coast Ring Finders and plans were made to attempt a recovery the following day.  After going through the proper channels to secure permission, we headed to the area that Daniel had marked very well the previous day.  After a few sweeps, my Equinox 800 displayed a strong 21 signal.  Daniel’s ring was found just a couple of inches below the surface.

Sentimental Ear Ring Lost At Atlantic Beach Found Two Days Later

I was practicing my detector skills and settings at “The Circle”.  As I pulled another bottlecap from it’s sandy depths (glass bottles are prohibited here), a couple asked if I had found an ear ring.  Kate informed me she had lost the ear ring in the same general area 2 days prior.  My recovery mode went into action as I started to grid the area.  To her surprise and after a few more pieces of junk metal, I received a solid 1 signal on my Minelab Equinox 800.  It took 1 scoop to unbury her missing ear ring.

Kate was thrilled I found it and explained although it didn’t have monetary value, her Aunt had made the ear rings for her and the sentimental value connection made her very happy to have the set back in her possession.

LOST RING FOUND IN APEX, NC…….. FOUND

Got a text message from Bonnie on Saturday night June 5th at 20:50, that her husband Skip had lost his wedding ring in the water while wrestling around with his son. He was very upset and heartbroken that he had lost it. I reassured her that I would do my very best to find it for him and make him happy again. The next morning, first thing, I drive to their location and I get the lowdown. I changed my settings to only find silver or large sliver I then jumped into the water. It was less than 10 mins later I get a solid on the top silver target that I just knew it had to be the lost ring. After about five attempts to scoop it out, I finally saw the big shiny ring at the top of the clay clump on my sand scooper as it fell into the basket. I yelled out, ” I GOT IT!!!” I get up to the bank and wash it off, shoot a photo and hand it back to Bonnie’s husband and he gave me a great big ole hug. Two Very Important Rings Lost At Emerald Isle, NC Found

Emily’s words:  “I was visiting my friends beach house in Emerald Isle and had one of the beautiful days on the beach.  I was going in and out of the water and left two of my most special rings on a beach towel, as well as some bracelets.  The two rings were of great importance to me.  One was a gold band that I received for my 20th birthday, and the other was my high school class ring.  After taking a swim in the ocean, I went back to my towel to put my jewelry on but neglected to put my rings also back on.  I shook out my towel and continued about my day and met up with some friends shortly after.  When my friends arrived I realized what I had done and instantly began to panic.  I searched for almost an hour before giving up and deciding to hire someone to find my rings.  Within minutes, my rings were descovered with a metal detector just about a couple inches under the sand.  It was one of the most relieving moments to know that two of my most prized possessions were found safe and undamaged.”
