Lost Gold Arabic Design Wedding Band at Ulua Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began on 2 November when I got a message asking “How much do you charge to locate a ring?”  from Jose who is in the Army stationed on Oahu.  It’s reward based and that’s always up to the customer.  Since the lagoons were rough and with high tides along with a three day coin show that weekend I told Jose I would hunt Veteran’s Day early morning.  He sent me some excellent photos of the area to hunt.  Since I start on the left side of a grid normally and work to the right it actually took an hour and a half to recover the ring as it was on the extreme right side of the grid as I was begining to think this was going to be a fail.  Jose swung by this evening to pick up his ring.  Smiling & Freed from the dog house!  Aloha to Jose!

I received  a call from Stuart this afternoon asking if I would be able to help him locate his wedding ring that flew off his hand while he was brushing snow from his hands, the ring flew onto his front lawn.

He and his wife Ali searched the area but could not find the ring. I saw the area that they cleared so the ring had to be a further ahead or to the back of them. I found the ring about 8 inches away from where Ali had cleared the snow.

I recieved a call from Owen last night requesting my service to locate his lost wedding ring in the back yard of his house. After asking Owen a few questions I agreed to help him find his ring the next day.

I meet up with Owen and his wife Hershey and they showed me the area where Owen had been chopping fire wood.  I could see where they had raked the snow off the ground,  They had been searching on their hands and knees looking for the ring until it got to dark when Hershey turned to the internet and searched for a metal detector. Up came TheRingfinders web page so she searched the Directory and found Me! The rest is history.

Lost Cartier bracelet on Miami Beach

Lost Gold Wedding Band at Nai’a Lagoon Ko Olina Resort…FOUND!!!

This ring find began when I got a text from Emanuel on vacation from Portland, Oregon saying, “My wife lost her wedding band on Sunday while swimming in the lagoon number 3.  She was swimming in chest deep water along the shore.  We agreed to meet Friday afternoon as their schedule was busy and the surf was freakishly up in the lagoons.  When I arrived Emanuel showed me the swim route and I began my grid search.  It was quite a large area and about 45 minutes into the hunt in belly deep water the Manticore found the yellow gold wedding band.  They were waiting in chairs on the beach and I waved that I found Viorica’s ring.  Emanual said, “God bless you!  You really made our day.”  Big smiles all around.  Aloha to Viorica & Emanuel!

Keys and key fob lost in Lake Virginia, Florida…found with strong magnet by Ring Finder Mike McInroe!

Elizabeth was relaxing on a dock on Lake Virginia just behind a local college and as she went to pull her water bottle out of her bag it somehow hooked her key fob and it went sailing into the water.  Of course Elizabeth was shocked and determined to retrieve them as soon as possible, especially since it was only a few feet deep she figured she could jump in and feel around with her feet.  But the pondweeds were very thick and made it difficult to feel anything on the bottom.  So her next thought was that maybe she could rent a water proof metal detector and find her lost keys that way and that search led her to theringfinders.com web site where she found my number and decided to call.  I assured Elizabeth that there was a very, very good chance to find and retrieve her lost keys and fob and a few hours later we met.  I determined to try my large Magnetar magnet first and if that method did not work then I would put on my wetsuit and use my waterproof Garrett ATMax metal detector and find it that way.  Thankfully it only took 10 minutes with my large magnet and Elizabeth was super thankful for this unique and unusual service called, “The Ring Finders”!

Wedding ring lost in ocean, Daytona Beach, Florida recovered by Mike McInroe, Florida Ring Finder!

I was given the wonderful opportunity to look for and find a lost ring in the Atlantic Ocean for Jason and his family and here is what Jason wrote me yesterday.  “The first day of our Daytona Beach vacation started poorly when I realized, while still in the ocean on our first swim of the trip, that my wedding ring had slipped off my finger.  With crashing waves all around, I aimlessly looked for it but gave up hope of ever seeing it again.  Thankfully, the next morning I was feeling at least a bit optimistic and started Googling for solutions.  My searches led me to theringfinders.com and to Mike.  He picked up the phone right away and within minutes we had a plan of attack for the very next day at low tide.  He filled me with hope from that first phone call and all of a sudden I started to think that maybe finding my ring wasn’t a lost cause after all.  The next day, he set up a grid over a fairly large area that I was most confident it had been lost in  and he got to work methodically scanning one grid section at a time and pushing further out into the ocean as the tide moved out.  In less than 90 minutes he’d found my lost ring!  My wife and I couldn’t believe it!  It felt so good to have it back on my finger again.  Thank you Mike, for everything you did for me and my wife.  You saved our vacation and gave us a lasting story to share with friends and family!  Jason”

Matthew called and reported he had lost his prized Texas A&M Class Ring during a new fence construction project at his home. Matthew said he was pretty sure the ring came off at some point during the project, indicating he was pulling his gloves on and off at different times during the day.

Beautiful Vintage Ring Lost While Gardening…Found!!!

It was early in the morning Saturday the 9th when I got a text message about a lost ring in the garden.  I was on my way out the door with two of my three boys to hand out flyers for the BSA’s big annual community service project Scouting for Food.  I text the couple back arranging to meet them for a search after the scouting project was completed.

I arrived at the home around 11:30am and met the sweet couple.  They told me the story of how they had been gardening together in the yard performing a number of different tasks.  The yard was huge and very nice and as we identified areas on interest, I created a kind of priority list in my head.  I explained a number of things about how the metal detector worked and how the search would be performed and we started in. As systematically we checked off site after site in the yard and had not made a recovery I could tell the couple (who wished to remain anonymous) was getting discouraged.  We looked at the very last location on our list when I got a very low blip and honestly if I wasn’t performing a search for them, I might not have bothered investigating it.  It was coming in at a 1 or 2 on the Equinox 800.  As I moved some yard debris I saw the ring and quickly recovered it.

When I revealed the ring to the couple they were both surprised and relieved that…WE MADE THE RECOVERY!!!!
