Canada Day celebrations Husband of one month accidentally lost his wedding band Centennial Park, Etobicoke, Toronto, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a message from Chantal that her Husband of one month lost his 14k gold wedding band in a grassy area of Centennial Park (Etobicoke) Toronto as they were celebrating ALL DAY for Canada Day!!

They had 20 people searching the areas where he was sitting and throwing a football.

I started a grid pattern but there was an absolutely INSANE amount of pull tabs and bottle caps…..after 3 hours BINGO I had a nice crisp tone on my Minelab Excalibur2….then I started the surprise video!! Priceless.

Here’s a link to the video from my YouTube channel;

She was OVER THE MOON and tears of joy! I love it when I make them cry!!

Newly engaged couple engagement ring falls into 8′ murky bottom! Penetang, Honey Harbour, Penetang, Cognashene Bay, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Newly engaged Bride-to-be Keeanna was hanging out with great Friends at a cottage on Cognashene Bay in Penetang (Midland) area when her stunning 14k white gold 1.42k diamond engagement wedding band fell onto the dock and through a crack into the water below.

They had a neighbour who was a diver come over to try to find it but no luck. Lucky they googled and found The Ring Finders and contacted me.

I met her Parents Michele & Jaimie G and the Penetang Bay for boat pick up. What great people….the winds and waves were fierce for a 15-20 minute boat ride. Geared up and jumped in. I had already arranged with the parents for a video for the surprise (below link)

Link to video *******

The depth was about 8-9′ but the bottom was mushy & murky….I used the “Scuba Tector” to start as they mentioned is was pretty clean bottom. After pulling some coins, nails, a lead weight, Justin’s West Jet name tag LOL, out I thought best I pop up and grab my Minelab Excalibur2….2nd tone BINGO BANGO!!! and the surprise begins…..

Wishing Keeanna & Mike a very happy wedding June 2019!! AWESOME CLIENTS XO

Canada Day Man lost wedding band at Wasaga Beach, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received an email through the ring finders late evening on Canada Day that Aneta & Tom had been building sand castles and throwing a little football around the waters of Wasaga Beach. The Wasaga Beaches are 14kms of fresh water beaches 1 through 6.

I met them there after being in the water at Wasaga Beach #1 for approximately 11 hours with the Minelab Excalibur2 and my T-rex sand scoop.

We walked aways to the location of the sand castles area where they were sitting. I widened my grid area and then decided to head into the water. Aneta went back to my truck for my headlamp to make the search easier. My first target about mid calf deep was Tom’s 14k white golf wedding band approximately 30′ from shore!! So as I normally do….I waited till she arrived back, started a video and proceeded back out to retrieve it….that was a quick one. A very happy couple as the wedding band is very sentimental. The couple graciously sent in a donation to the Kelly Shires Breast Cancer Found!!

Here’s the late night video…

Wedding ring lost prior to wedding ceremony Richmond Hill Country Club, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Received a text message from Jing & Mark S for a request to assist to find a custom platinum wedding band that was unfortunately lost prior to the wedding ceremony of his best Friend of 23 years. Mark was the Best Man at a wedding ceremony on the lovely ground of the Richmond Hill Country Club. Mark had written explicit details of the days events leading up to the wedding ceremony. This was key in retracing there steps and actions. Prior to the actual wedding ceremony, the photography asked all the wedding party to remove any items such as phones from the pockets. Mark had removed both the Bride’s and Grooms custom wedding bands crafted in China from the jewellers boxes. Mark felt that a number of times he removed his cell phone from his jacket pocket and at those locations the wedding band could likely be at any one of the spots.

We proceeded down the pathway in which the wedding parties travels in golf cart, up over a bridge and then onto a open grass area where the photo’s had taken place. I used my trusty Minelab Excalibur 2 on land and that amazing tone of platinum on “discrimination” makes my detector SING!! Within 5 on the open grass area that wonderful tone sounded off!! I spotted the very small sized platinum wedding band, threw done my machine (gently of course) and raised my arms. Mark & Jing thought I was upset with them as they were standing on either side of the area as I was using them for my grid markers. Both kept moving about. I then started recording for the ‘surprise’.

Here’s the video for the return

The “Best Man” came through for his Best Friend the Groom and his new Wife!!

Fred’s Lost ROLEX Mercer Island SCUBA Recovery

  • from Mercer Island (Washington, United States)

A Mercer Island resident called me this weekend explaining her neighbor had lost his watch after a day of boating at their private dock. He was grabbing for the dock and a nail staged his watch band and down it went to the bottom of Lake WA. Even though it was a nice warm day for a cool swim Fred made several attempts to free dive for his watch but the depth was just beyond his reach along with the silt and mil foil growth adding to the challenge. Fred knew at this point they had to find someone equipped for the recovery. Fortunately his neighbor recalled a past recovery on the lake performed by another RingFinder member. She eventually got me on the phone and the mission was activated. After learning that this was no ordinary watch but a ROLEX I was very happy to oblige, of course I was excited as this would be my fist ROLEX recovery!

LOST TRUCK/TRACTOR KEYS CUTTING GRASS! Erin, ON

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

Erin, Ontario, Canada

Received a text message from Ron from Erin that another incredible “The Ring Finders” team Steve Zmd recommended me to assist in finding lost truck & tractor keys in my own town!!

Ron was on his lawn tractor cutting 2 acres of grass. He was rushing to finish the grass before dark. After he finished cutting the grass he reached into his pocket and his truck & tractor keys where gone. He searched his property and could not locate them. Lucky he had a back up set of keys to his truck.

I decided to grid the outer portions of the 2 acres using my Minelab Excalibur 2 on ‘pinpoint/all metal mode’. With-in 40 minutes and many darn mosquito bites….I LOCATED THEM!!

He’s one happy camper as it’s pricey to purchase a new set of keys!! Thank you Steve Zmd for the recommendation AGAIN XO

Lost Diamond Ring in New Westminster, BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Yesterday I got a call from a young man who needed my help to find his girlfriends 2 rings that she tossed out of his SUV while driving down the road. People are human, its true! They get mad and when they get mad in most cases rings go flying! I’ve had many calls over the years for these types of recoveries. I’d say most times I’m unsuccessful because of the locations I search are not metal detector friendly. “NEWS FLASH” (While writing this post the couple called me and said that the other ring was found in their home! She has no idea how it showed up there as she is certain she threw it out the window with the other ring…Makes me feel much better! I hate the thought of not finding what I’m looking for).

Well that makes it a happy ending! I have met so many nice people over the years doing what I do and I look forward to meeting many more!

Here’s the couple and her beautiful diamond ring.

Lost Gold Wedding Band Vancouver, BC…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

Yesterday I was on a water hunt that started in February but I had to put it aside for warmer water. Well the temperature was perfect and the water was warm but after 4 1/2 hours in the stinky the beaver pond  I sadly had no success. I put in a total of 7 1/2 hours in a relatively small area but with some difficulties. The only thing I could guess was that the ring didn’t go in the water where he thought it did…? It happens, I don’t always have success but with that said I received a call while I was wrapping up the search from a young man that needed help finding his lost wedding band at a playground.

I headed out to the park and got there before him, I started my search and within 15 minutes I found his ring!

He was extremely lucky that no one found it before us, he had lost it the day before and the following day was a hot one and lots of people at the playground even when I got there around 8pm.

The ring was found in front of the slide and visible to the eye, the good thing was that the wood chips helped camouflage the gold ring.

I love my job! If you or someone you know has lost a ring please contact a member of TheRingFinders.com ASAP

Lost Gold Wedding Band in Snow/Vancouver,BC…Found!

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

While sledding at a Vancouver park with his daughter, Chris lost his white gold wedding band. When I met Chris he was very certain that it was lost at the park and he even had a video of him sledding, at one point he was shaking his hands in the video and he felt that was the moment the ring must have come off. Watching the video, I too felt the same way as Chris did as he said the ring was very loose, shaking your hands like that would make the ring come off for sure.

After Chris showed me the area, he went to work, I started my search at the top of the hill. I worked my way grid searching north/south and after 30 minutes I found his 19k white gold wedding band. I feel just as happy as the person I find it for does…Very Happy!

20180207 Oakville, Ontario Lost 14k gold wedding band in snow FOUND

  • from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)

2018-02-07 Oakville, Ontario

I received a text message from a fellow sled head Mark B to let me know his neighbour lost his 14k gold wedding band somewhere in the snow and to call him right away.

I call Tony H immediately. He advised that he was shovelling the snow and also walked down the road. He advised that the snow plow had just gone by. It was -7C and within 20 minutes of speaking to Tony H and headed down to Oakville.

As the story goes, Tony took off his gloves and within 5 minutes realized his wedding band came off. I started to grid search the driveway. Tony felt it could have been on the roadway so I continued onto the roadway. After 40 minutes I was drawn back to the driveway as the more questions I asked I felt he lost it when he took off his gloves. Within 5 minutes and 2′ off the driveway in 1′ of snow….BAM! Had a great tone on my Minelab Excalibur 2!! Tony was a great sport and very happy not to sleep outside in the dog house in the frigid temperatures!

Here’s a little video
