Wedding Ring Recovered in Raleigh

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)

I got text from Steven, a nice gentleman who lives only about two miles from my house. He and his wife had been moving firewood from the front of their house (where the logs had been dumped) to a shed area in the back yard and sometime during this activity, she lost her wedding ring. We made arrangements to meet at their house so I could find her ring. They showed me the area where the firewood had been and where it was stacked now. Seemed simple enough to search just that area, since that was the area where they’d been working.

While I was searching, Steven and I had been chatting about our common interest – history. After maybe 45 minutes with no luck, Steven invited me to see his workshop. Turns out that Steven collects antique tools and wanted to show me. While we were there, I had a thought and asked if he or his wife had checked the gloves she was wearing. He said they both had checked, but I asked if checking one more time would be ok. He agreed and with my handheld detector, found that the ring was still in the finger slot of one of the gloves. We were all surprised, but it’s always a good feeling to recover something that means a great deal to someone. Another happy ending!

Received a call from a man in Wilmette Illinois, he lost his wedding band when he threw a ball for his dog.

There was about 40ft of very heavy brush that had to be searched, almost impossible for a metal detector.

I searched as long as I could with a detector then switched to a pinpointer, took 2-1/2 hours but

finally found it with the pinpointer.  He was a very happy camper!!

Wedding Ring Lost in Front Yard-Found

  • from Chattanooga (Tennessee, United States)

James contacted me and told me that his wife had lost her ring in the front yard. It was yellow gold with a solitaire. He said it had been lost for around two months and they had rented a metal detector with no luck. When I got there I asked all of the usual questions that I always do. She said they had been arguing and she threw the ring across the front yard, and where she had been standing. This is always a great help, because it gives me a better idea where to look. I started my grid search in the likely area, and had made two passes across the yard. About one forth of the way back across the yard on the third pass, I got a solid 19 on my Manticore. It was the ring, but after two months it was already completely covered and not visible. The actual search time was less that fifteen minutes.

Found wedding bands in corn pit. Bath, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I received a text from Erika stating she lost her engagement and wedding bands. She was playing with her four year old daughter in a corn pit within a barn. A short while later she realized her rings were off. She immediately did a search on Reddit which told her about my profile and Theringfinders. I made arrangements to meet her the next day. After approx. 10min., while searching around several playing children in the corn pit, I found the rings. No matter the type of jewelry or where you may lose it, contact Tracy at 610-207-8677 to allow me the opportunity to return your items.

Contact:

Playing with his dog, he lost his very heavy platinum ring in the yard.

While searching for it he must of accidentally stepped on it because when I hit it

all I could see was the edge of the ring, totally flat in the ground.

Turned out to be a fairly easy search taking about a half an hour.

Lost Wedding Ring In Car

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

Got a call from a young lady saying her husband was playing with his wedding ring while driving and it dropped between the seats and disappeared.  Both searched for the ring for two days with no luck.  In a last ditch effort they turned to the mighty internet in hopes of finding someone with experience who finds lost rings.  And, they found us, The Ring Finders. We drove to Ft Worth, TX and met with the owner of the ring and got a description of what happened.  We used our specialized camera to search the nooks and crannies that was not available to the naked eye and spotted his wedding band. Our happiness of returning the ring to him almost matched his happiness of having it back in his possession and on his finger.

Anther great find for The Ring Finders.

Aggie Ring disappears – Irving, Texas

We got a call from a young man who said he was playing Football with a friend, just passing the ball around.  When they finished playing he realized his coveted Aggie Ring was gone.

He jumped on the Internet and found “The Ring Finders” and gave us a call.  We responded immediately and boy was it hot, over 100 degrees.  Ellen and I covered the entire football field and on my next to last pass I saw His Aggie Ring sparkling in the dirt and grass, no detector needed on this one.

I let Ellen know I found it and we went walking towards the young man.  As we got closer I told him we needed to get some water and ask him to hold this and I handed him his Aggie Ring.  I wish you all could have seen his face, it was priceless.  So much fun, I love what we get to do to help people in their time of panic.

Hearing Aids Lost in Yard

  • from Dallas (Texas, United States)
Contact:

We got a call from a gentleman who said his wife had placed her hearing aids on top of her phone and walked out the front door to open the gate.  Somewhere along the way across the yard the Hearing Aids fell into the deep St Augustine grass.  She and her husband searched and searched even buying a magnetic bar on wheels to try and find the Hearing Aids.  After 3 days of searching and panic began to set in.  These were new Hearing Aids and not insured.

The husband began to search the internet and found “The Ring Finders” and called us.  Luckily we were on our way back into the Dallas area and were able to reroute to the Gaston Street area downtown.   The hearing aids were so small out Garrett ATPRO’S bearly picked up a signal.  I had to get on hand and knees and use our Pinpointers to find them.  It took a while but we had success, the Hearing Aids had fallen just inside the flower beds and they were brown in color so very hard to see.

Another happy customer for the “Dallas Ring Finders”.

His Grandfather’s Heirloom Wedding Ring Lost on Pine Knoll Shores Beach Found

  • from Emerald Isle (North Carolina, United States)

Quinn contacted Crystal Coast Ring finders just minutes after losing his grandfather’s wedding band. He later explained that he had worn the ring for a family member’s wedding, and upon returning to the beach, he went down to the water to pick up his son. As he lifted him, the ring slipped off and disappeared into the surf. After a few passes, I got a strong signal, and when I scooped up the sand, there it was—Quinn’s ring shining among the grains.
Years ago, when Quinn’s mother was still a child, his grandfather had to hide this very wedding band inside one of her toys before leaving Cuba. This ring carries an incredible history, and now its story can continue with even more cherished memories.
