LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING in WILSON, NC…….. FOUND!!!

Got a referral from Dave Oliver about this lost platinum ring that has been lost since July of 2022. I called up Mr. Singh and got the back story. Turns out his wife worked many hours making minimum wage saving every penny to buy this ring for her husband. It had great sentimental value to the Singh’s. They’ve been married for 17 years! So last July, he was mowing and got into some yellow jackets. In the process of running back towards the house and swatting bees his ring flew off in the yard, but he wasn’t sure where he lost because he didn’t realize it for over 3 hours! I started in that area and in about 20 mins, I get a signal and boom there it was about 2 inches down. After finding it and walking back to my truck to put my equipment away, I see him coming out into the garage. He asked me, “DID YOU FIND IT!” I said, “YES SIR” as I held up my finger with it on my hand. He broke down crying!! The wife comes out and she breaks down crying too. We sat and just talked about things for about another hour and one thing he said that is so true and makes you think. He was saying to his wife life moves fast, so fast that all you can do is take mental pictures as your life flies by. He told me he said to his wife that after everything in life is gone. The house, car, kids grown and moved out. The one thing he wanted to do was sit on the porch looking back at his life while feeling this ring on his hand. The ring she worked so hard to buy for him and their love for one another and their marriage together. 😢😢

Ring lost in Torrey Hills San Diego found

I received a call from Linda saying that her husband Terry had lost his wedding ring outside their apartment the night before. They had searched for it for hours without success, so, they needed help. An online search brought them to TheRingFinders.com and my contact info. With a narrow weather opening between storms, I met them at their apartment and got the story behind the ring’s loss. Terry had just left their upper floor apartment and noticed some soap on his hand. As he reached the top of the stairway, He removed his ring to wipe his fingers and his ring decided to take a 3 story leap off the open stairwell to an unknown fate below. He heard a ping as the ring hit something on it’s way down through several flights and landings until it reached the concrete bottom level with surrounding landscaping. The landscaping consisted of bushes of various heights and densities, bark, leaves, grass, and the typical metal trash that you get around walks and stairways. To add to the challenge, the building and concrete areas  have rebar, flashing, and other metal items to work around. A quick search with the big coil failed to come up with the ring, so, I changed to the 6″ coil and my pin pointer to get into tighter areas that the big coil won’t reach. After a while and several junk targets giving us false hope, I got a another similar low signal with my Equinox 900 deep under a bush. The pin pointer was singing, but, I still couldn’t see the target until I started to remove some dead leaves and saw a flash of gold. Yes! Success! Linda was first to notice my triumphant response, gave me an emotional and appreciative hug, and went inside to tell a very happy Terry. A pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the reward.

Ring recovered – in Wyoming Minnesota

So last week I received a call from a wonderful couple that had lost a wedding ring in the leaves in there back yard. This call was from a local couple about 6 miles away.  This was a treat for me because it had been a while since I have had a call that was just down the road. I know from what I was told that she really cared about her ring.  She was very conscientious about losing the ring so to be safe she removed it and placed it in her pocket.  She had done a little work in a flower garden the corner of the house and when she finished, she felt the ring in her pocket.  She also had her young son out running around in back with her in the back yard. Part of playing around they formed a big pile of leaves started to bury one another in the pile of leaves.  Following playing in the leaves her husband cleaned up the back yard raking and hauling the leaves down to a compost pile further down in the back yard. She had felt for the ring and her heart sank. It was gone. They spent several hours scouring the back yard and leaf pile looking for the ring and nothing was found.

You just know that feeling of something near and dear to your heart and it’s gone. She did a search online for Ringfinders.com and found Paul Nolan a local recovery specialist and texted him.  Somehow the text was missed and the following morning her husband gave Paul a call. He asked if I had received the text that hos wife had sent, “ No”.  So he asked if it would be possible to come out and see if we could find the ring.  About an hour later I pulled into the driveway.  They gave me a quick tour of what had happened. So I grabbed my detector and started a quick preliminary search. My primary search area was going to be the leaf pile in the back.  Within a minute of reaching the pile location I received a great signal.  I tried to carefully move some of the leaves, and it was hiding well.  I had left my pin-pointer in the car so I went back to retrieve that.  I also brought a small battery-operated blower that I grabbed. Once back at the pile I found the location with the pin pointer and put the blower on low and blew the leaves away from a small one foot circle, and there it was down between some rocks.  So I grabbed my equipment and started to hall it back up to the car. As I was heading up she came out on the deck and I asked her if she would like to come grab the ring? What you found the ring? In total disbelief.  Come on down. Her husband soon joined her and I took them down to the location where I had blowen the leaves away and they started looking after about 15 seconds she spotted it in the rocks.  She was ecstatic.    The following pictures are the ring back where it belonged and another photo of the ring.

It was really nice having a call close to home, and one that went as well as could possibly could. What a treat it was. I wish they all would go so well.  Congratulations on getting the ring back.  I am so happy for the both of you.

Lost Wedding Band, Corona, California…FOUND!

If you lost your ring or some other item of value, and you know approximately where, TEXT ME, RON WILTON, RIGHT AWAY-951-415-6007! You DON’T need to go out and buy a cheap metal detector!
This ring find began last night just after 10pm. I received a text from Tim K. saying “…I lost my wedding ring at the park yesterday evening. I know the area of the grass it’s lost in, I can show you. I was wondering if you might be available to take a look?”
After agreeing to meet at the park the next morning, I also learned that the city had cut the grass since it happened as well as he and his wife searched the area for a couple of hours until dark with flashlights after buying an inexpensive metal detector, but with no luck.

Upon meeting them at the park, I asked Tim what he was doing when he lost it. Tim said they were walking along and for some reason he took his ring off and started tossing it up in the air and catching it, and catching it, and catching it. And then he didn’t. Fortunately, he knew the small area where it landed and he marked it with some rocks. Even though the grass had been cut, the grass was still 2″-3″ tall.

I fired up my Garrett AT Pro, as my Nox 800 wasn’t charged. I took my own wedding band off and tossed it in the grass and swung my coil over it. A 55-59 signal. After pointing out an area where they had gotten a signal with their metal detector, but couldn’t find anything, I swung the coil over and immediately got a hit. I tried to locate it , but with the grass still being long I had to use my hand-held pinpointer. Yellow-gold wedding band located. I picked it up and while handing it to Tim said, “Does it look something like this?” He took it, looked at it, and said “Yes”, with a big grin on his face. You could immediately see they were once again, one happy couple!

Three Lost Gold Wedding Rings in Orchard Prairie Spokane WA ….FOUND!!!

Last week,Sue was sitting on her porch step talking to to her landscaper during the fading hours of daylight. As Sue was talking she noticed  the diamond on her wedding rings was flipped downward. She quickly flicked the rings with her thumb to adjust their position. As her thumb snapped forward her three rings went flying. Quickly exclaiming “I lost my rings” to the landscaper, the daylight faded to black. A search for the rings that night was useless. The next morning a search began and ended with no luck. So Sue reached out to her community.  The neighbors, her church, and the little four year old boy across the street were all praying for the ring to be found. The Minister from Sue’s church even came over to look. He saw an over grown bush right beside where Sue sat. Thinking the ring might be in there, he asked when she last cleaned out the leaves in the planter box? Little did he know that when he began to tend to the over grown mess he would remove the rings from its hiding place.  As he worked with his hands cutting and cleaning up the leaves and twigs he had picked up Sue’s rings. Now from there the minister took the five gallon bucket of trimmings and walked to the backyard . He placed the bucket under a covered carport and then left. So for a week that bucket sat there untouched. Sue was devastated and distraught.  She saw the rings come off and disappear.  How could she not see the rings in the grass she thought. Sue had the landscaper cut the grass really short and then used a shopvac to try and pull the rings from where she thought they were hidden in the grass. Now completely stumped Sue turned to the internet. Her daughter told her to buy a metal detector so Sue typed in ring metal detectors . Instead of finding a metal detector to buy she found The Ring Finders. I hadn’t begun my days work yet when Sue called me. We talked and I told her I would be right over. I heard Sue’s story and began my search. The whole front yard, the planter boxes, under the porch, in the juniper bushes and down the front walk was where I searched with no ring found. I knew the minister had cleaned up a bush, so I asked where he put the clippings. So Sue and I headed to the  backyard to the five gallon bucket. I thought for sure I would see her ring in that bucket. However I didn’t see her ring when I searched, not even in a trailer where more clippings had been tossed. Now I knew that a bagged lawn mower had been used on her lawn so as I walked  past Sue talking to her about the landscaper my eyes saw a small shape in the gravel. So I asked Sue what is that? And then again I asked what is that Sue? I circled the rings and then started jumping up and down as I saw the diamond. Sue’s rings had been found. Whether it fell out of the bottom of the bucket or an act of God placed the rings in the gravel. The rings were found. We hugged a bunch, celebrating all the answered prayers and Sue thanked God and me for finding the rings. See, the three rings Sue had lost were on her hand for 58 years. When her husband Gaylon passed away 10 years ago his ring was placed behind hers and soldered together.  So finding those three rings brought back the memories of her late husband and the feeling of their love for one another.

Honeymoon Celebration Produces All Rings Lost, Two Found – Sneads Ferry, NC

Kaity & Zach were celebrating their recent marriage and honeymooning in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.  While they were at a friends house along Chadwick Bay, Kaity decided to take a running jump into the bay off of the boat dock.  Both of her wedding rings came off of her finger into the bay and it’s soft muddy bottom.  Along with friends, they both searched for the underwater rings and came across oyster shells along the way which were thrown out of the area.  During the search, Zach also lost his wedding band.  After hours of searching they finally gave up.  A friend found Crystal Coast Ring Finders and message was sent out.  Upon arrival, I was skeptical as I know these waters can sometimes be hard or soft bottoms.  This one was the latter.  I was searching around the boat dock in about 3 foot of water and pulling up various items from the bottom when within the first half hour Kaity’s engagement ring was brought up from the bottom.  Surprisingly, her very thin wedding band wasn’t found.  During the 1st attempted search, I was able to locate Zach’s missing wedding band just under the boat dock amongst other oyster shells.  A 2nd attempt was made on a different day and Kaity’s wedding band was not located.  I suspect it was either pressed deep into the soft black mud bottom or thrown out of the area attached to an oyster shell cluster.  Kaity & Zach were mostly concerned about getting the wedding ring back in their possession.

Atlantic Beach: Newlywed’s Gold Wedding Band Lost In The Ocean Found

Joe and his wife of two months were spending a few days with family and went swimming in the ocean.  Sitting on the beach with his wife, she asked him where is your ring?  It was then the shock of the loss started.  Joe did some research and found The Ring Finders and contacted me later that day.  He admitted, and I could tell, both him and his wife were very upset.  Joe said he was swimming in chest to shoulder deep water.   I informed him that tomorrow morning’s conditions would be best to perform a water recovery search and we agreed to meet at 6 a.m.

Less than 1 hour later Joe was able to grab his gold wedding band out of my sand scoop.  His wife was instantly in tears.  It is such a great feeling to be able to return property that holds so much value to others!

Forked River NJ Necklace lost at the Lake recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder august 2022

Got a call today from Aubreigh. She was at the lake on Wednesday and somehow she lost her extremely sentimental necklace that was given to her by her late mother. The area where their blanket was is where she felt it was definitely lost. Sure enough, within 30 seconds if got a scratchy tone, moved the sand with my foot, and there it was. The look on her face was priceless. She was by far the youngest person I have had call, and my gosh, so professional, and determined.
