Lost Lithium Battery in Chattaroy WA…FOUND!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

Normally something as trivial as a lost battery wouldn’t make the cut as a worthy lost and found item. However, for Rob and his two Golden Doodles a lost lithium battery in the backyard could mean the death of one of the dogs. See, Rob had let his beloved dogs out into the backyard to burn off some energy after a long day stuck inside. Rob had attached a head mounted flashlight to one of his dogs to keep track of her. As the dogs ran around, an energy filled wrestling match broke out. Followed by an all out race around the perimeter of the yard. As Robs 4 yr old lovable Golden Doodle passed by him in an all out sprint, Rob could see the battery door was open on the light he had put on her. With many attempts to call the dogs back to him, the battery fell out into the snow covering the backyard. This is where I show up in the story.  Rob knew that he needed to find the battery because if Sadie ingested the battery it would kill her, and Sadie would infact try to eat the battery. I showed up at 4pm two days later. It was dark and cold. I didn’t know what the battery would ring up on my detector. So all of these factors added in, I didn’t find the battery. I returned to Robs house two days later. Rob had bought another battery. So I got to scan the battery and find out what it rang up on my detector. It rang up like a quarter which I was originally thinking it was going to ring up like an iron target . With that knowledge, I repeated my search and found the battery in five minutes. Saving the life of Robs beloved dog is totally worthy seeing his smile on The Ring Finders book of smiles.

Lost Gold Crown tooth in North Spokane WA, FOUND!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

I was at work and two minutes away from starting my weekend when I got a call from a guy wanting to rent a metal detector. I explained I don’t rent them out but I am a professional and can look for his lost item right now. We discussed a few other details and then I made my way to the house. See, the gentleman had been attempting to remove the gold from an old tooth from a long lost relative. His first attempt on the first tooth was successful. So the method of using a hammer to beat the tooth that was wrapped in a paper towel was attempted again. However, this attempt caused the tooth to go flying. Speaking of flying I flew  to his house and quickly we walked to the back yard. I was showen a 2ft 2ft swath of grass, in said grass hid a tooth. So I summed my inner tooth fairy and began to scan the grass with my garret carrot. Then BAM,the pinpointer buzzed with excitement as I pulled back the grass revealing the tooth. A record setting search, taking less then 30 seconds. I have to really give thanks to the guy for giving me a tip even though the gold from that tooth was really needed. So my prayers and thanks go out to you, may God bless and heal all the broken things in your life.

Lost wedding ring in spokane valley Wa, Found !!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

I know that all of the Ring Finders that live where it snows have come back home wet, cold and with a dull feeling of not finding the lost ring they were tasked with finding. However, as I sat at my dinner table eating my reheated dinner, I got a text from a lady who was wanting to know if I could help her nanny find her lost wedding ring. Knowing all the questions I had to ask would clog up a text message, I called the lady. After chatting about the lost ring and how they used hot water to melt away the snow without sucsses, I told her after work the next day I would come by. Before getting off the phone I asked her how she found The Ring Finders, her answer brought a smile to my face. She said her friend saw her post on facebook asking for help, and told her she had a great experience using The Ring Finders in San Antonio when she lost her bracelet. Hats off too all of the Ring Finders in San Antonio doing what we do best, finding smiles. Today after a wet and soggy day cleaning up metling snow off of our hanger floor, I made my way to a house on top of a hill. The couple Laura the nanny and Felipe her husband, joined me in my car and we made our way to an off the beaten path photo shoot location. As we scoped out the area where the pictures where being taken, Laura pulled out her phone and showed me a short GIF of her shaking the snow off her hands. How convenient, the exact time and position where Laura lost her ring. All I had to do was walk two feet and start scanning around the left side of where she stood. Easy enough right? Wrong! The ring on her left hand flew down and to the right. The whole search took three minutes max, but amazingly enough the ring was under the snow and in the forest floor about two inches. These fast searches blow my mind, but let the truth be told you cannot find a lost ring when there is no ring to be found. Laura’s and Felipe’s rings were made in Columbia four mounths prior. It’s amazing to think that her ring traveled all that way to be lost in a forest in Washington state. The Ring Finders, finding smiles and saving rings.

Mans Platinum wedding ring lost in North Spokane WA, Found!!!!

  • from Spokane (Washington, United States)

This morning I woke up with a lost ring call from a man named Sebastian. His story was short and sweet. Sebastian was walking with his wife along a path behind his apartment. With the snow falling he couldn’t resist a small snowball toss at his wife. Promptly the wedding ring he wore, also couldn’t resist flying off his cold finger. The couple looked and dug through the snow with no success. So after gathering my equipment I made my way over to Sebastian’s apartment. We spoke briefly about the lost ring and then I began swinging my way down the freshly plowed walkway. My thoughts were the ring had been pitched to the side of the path. However after two minutes of walking, Sebastian said “swing over the concrete path”. There was snow and ice covering the path enough to conceal the ring. My coil was about a foot from the boots of Sebastian when I got a signal. My pin pointer confirmed that it was close to the surface and my fingernail revealed the shiny rim of his platinum wedding ring. I think this search broke the record for my fastest recovery. A very good start to the New Year I’d say, the snow is always good at loosening rings.
