Found a Great Wedding Ring Today!

I was contacted on Oct. 19th about a woman’s lost wedding ring. About a month ago Paula had been pulling weeds around her yard and was throwing them down a steep hill when she realized her wedding ring went flying with the weeds. Her husband rented a detector and then bought a cheaper detector in the hopes of locating the ring. After hours of searching he decided he needed some help. I arrived this morning around 9:00 a.m. and he showed me the location that he already had marked out with orange flags. I made my way back and forth between the flags and I believe it was my third or fourth good signal I found her ring! It came up at 12-12 on the CTX3030.

I was very happy to help this nice couple recover her ring and thanks for the great reward.

Platinum Wedding Ring Lost Off Roof .. Long Beach, CA. .. Found

Craig was doing roofing repairs for a client in Long Beach, CA. when his platinum/ gold wedding band came of his finger. It rolled quickly down the roof just like a wheel. When he came off the roof he couldn’t find it in the 6 foot area between the house and the fence. The other option was the neighbor’s yard which was a heavily covered landscaping that had a lot of plants and dried leaves. After an hour of searching he decided to call for the help of someone with a metal detector. After a google search he found my contact information.

When I talked to Craig on the phone he told me the basic story. He would be to meet me with permission to search the neighbor’s yard. Less than an hour later I met him and he went over the events that led to the loss of his ring. Then we walked into the location directly in front of where he had been working on the roof next door. It was definitely a place where a ring could be hiding. A perfect place to use a metal detector and/ or hand held pinpointer.

As I was adjusting the settings on my metal detector and beginning the swing my detector, Craig yelled, ” there it is”.
The whole planter was covered with dry leaves, but the ring actually landed in the only clear spot, on the edge of the cement patio. It had flown more 20 ft. off the edge of the roof.

This has happened more than a half a dozen times, when the person or someone else spots the lost item while I’m doing a search grid with my detector. What is most important is Craig has his most sentimental wedding ring back where it belongs. It was a pleasure to meet Craig and help him search for his ring.

Lost Wedding Band Found In Langley, BC.

I got a call from a young man asking if I could help him find his lost wedding band. What I didn’t know was he lost his wedding band 24 hours after he was married. When I arrived at his parents place he told me the story how he came to find out that his ring was gone at the end of the day. The thing was he didn’t know exactly where the ring had fallen off his finger.

He said that he was playing ping pong in the back yard and was doing a few other things in the yard that day. It was a big yard and it took me 2 hours to do a cross grid search, with no luck. I asked if he had checked his car and he said he vacuumed and checked it inside out but no ring. It was looking like it would have to be in his parents house but for some reason I felt like I needed to check the car as in my experience rings have a way of finding hiding spots.

After 2 minutes of search the car and under the passengers seat I caught a glimpse of his ring in a little hiding spot for the seat motor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe if I didn’t check the car it would have been there for a very long time…If I had started the car first it would have been a fast recovery!!

Surfer Lost Keys in Sand .. Huntington Beach, CA. .. Recovered with Metal Detector

While detecting at Huntington City Beach a lifeguard patrol vehicle drove up to me asking if I could help a surfer find his car keys. Most of the lifeguards know me and know I’m a member of TheRingFinders. I’m always willing to use my detector and my experience to help people who need help.
The lifeguard took me to Michael who was frantically digging in the sand where he had buried his keys before going surfing. This is not the first time I have seen this type of loss.

Michael was frustrated because he has done this many times before with no problem. He was beginning to think that somebody had seen him hide the keys and had taken them.

I have learned that key search metal detector settings should be an all metal mode. If not you might get a null instead a good tone. It depends on the materials the keys and the ring is made of.

I swung my detector coil around the inside of a 2 ft. deep hole that Michael had dug. On one side of the hole there was a positive signal. It turned out to be Michael’s car keys. Another happy surfer that didn’t have to have his car towed or pay for a locksmith to replace his keys. Both the lifeguard and Michael know how to get a metal detector expert if they need a ringfinder in the future. Turning Luck Around: A Ring Rescued at Carpinteria State Beach

Following Sunday service, my phone rang with a plea for assistance from a distressed young lady who had encountered a streak of misfortune during her weekend camping trip at Carpinteria State Beach for the Avocado festival. Amidst the festivities, she had tragically misplaced a ring gifted to her by her mother, intended to ward off the string of bad luck she had been experiencing. Adding insult to injury, a neighboring camper had inadvertently damaged her Honda Civic, compounding her woes.

Upon arrival at the beach camping site, littered with debris and remnants of previous visitors, our task seemed daunting. Lost Wedding Ring… Found in Mitchellville Iowa

I received an email from Betsy on September 27th saying she had lost her wedding ring in her yard. She told me that her husband had raked the area they thought it was lost in and they had borrowed a metal detector but didn’t find it.

So I was able to make it there today October 1st. After about 15 minutes of searching the area I heard a shallow low signal 12-05 on the CTX3030 and I found her beautiful white gold wedding ring!

I was very happy to help this nice young couple find this important ring. Thank you for the nice reward and good luck to all the ringfinders out there.

Lost Ring .. White Gold with Diamonds .. Downey, CA. .. Found in Tot Lot

Amber called me after Sharon found TheRingFinders website. Her first question was to ask about how the service works? Her concern was, that she wasn’t sure where her,white gold with diamonds,ring was lost. Amber and Sharon had been several places including a sandy totlot and Chucky Cheese amusement center in Downey, CA. Amber noticed the ring missing that evening after several hours away from the house.

Amber thought it was probably lost at the Chucky Cheese business which would not leave much hope to find it. Sharon believed that the ring was at the totlot in the sand. After hearing the list of events and knowing that Amber had not felt ring slip off. It was now just a matter of eliminating the sandy totlot before some other detectorist found it.

I was out of town but told Amber that I could be at the location before 4pm. She agreed to meet me at the location as I had told her, our chances of finding the ring are better if she can narrow the search area. Both Amber and Sharon were there when I started the search, I could tell Amber had not much hope of finding the ring. She had to leave for a few minutes, so Sharon was there when I found the ring near the children’s slide. When I held up the ring, Sharon broke out with a giant smile and her eyes lit up. Then we waited for Amber to show up. That’s when we were able to make it a second surprise moment. As we walked up to her, I asked her if she had been near the swings. As she was answering me Sharon held the beautiful gold w/ diamond ring up for Amber to see. Surprise, another big smile from Amber.  Sharon was right about the location.

They were so nice and appreciative. I enjoyed helping them and it was worth the extra drive to have a successful search.

Night Hunt Oak Street Beach Chicago, ILLinois

Received a call at 7:30 PM from a gentleman who had lost his White Gold and Diamond wedding band while brushing sand off his arm as he and his family were leaving the beach after a wonderful 92 degree day on September 24th.

Fortunately he found the Ringfinders website while googling “how to find ring in the sand”

Fortunately he also had the correct idea to stay on the beach and mark the location with his shoes AND IMMEDIATELY call a ringfinder!!!

One hour later he had his ring back. I took an UBER to his location, since Oak Street Beach is located just off the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. Parking is non existent..

I found his ring in less than 1 minute along with some coins.

Lost Wedding Ring… Found At a Winery

I received a call from Judy who was very upset about losing her wedding ring. She had been traveling from Minneapolis down to a wedding at a winery near Dubuque Iowa. She wasn’t sure where or how it was lost but it wasn’t in her car. They had made several stops along the way. She did send me a picture of where they were parked at the winery on a gravel lot. So I went on Friday to search for it.

After eliminating one area she stopped at I went on to the winery. Using the picture she sent me I started a grid search of the area. On the third pass I caught a glint of something shiny on the ground, going over it with the detector It sounded off. Yes it was her ring!

Sapphire & Diamonds 18k White Gold Wedding Ring Found Near Coal Creek… Bellevue, WA!!!

Diamonds and sapphires in white gold!

I got a call from Randy who lost his ring sometime last month while driving to a jobsite. Apparently he had removed his ring and put it into a cup (with some liquid) in his console. Sometime later, he forgot it was in there and he tossed the contents out the window as he was driving around the bend to one of his worksites!!!

Luckily Randy remembered seeing a Ringfinders Facebook post that featured my previous find and looked me up! He remembered the turn on the road and gave me a general area to look for his ring.

I searched the side of the road for some time… After gridding the area he pointed out, I extended my search area. He was close in proximity but it was a bit further than he remembered. I found it! A beautiful white gold ring with some really cool sapphires and diamonds!
