Lost Ring Morristown NJ… Found!

Adam called me looking for some help finding his platinum wedding band which he lost about a week and a half ago.  His 4-year-old son had asked to see the ring in the house, but then went out in the backyard and ran around.  Needless to say, the ring fell off while he was out in the yard and was lost in the grass.  We made plans to meet the next day at his house to search the yard.  I started my search close to the house and made grid lines with my feet.  About 75% through the yard, I got a solid 16 showing at a depth of 1 shovel on my Equinox 800.  Sure enough,   there was the ring.  It’s always a great feeling to be able to find and return a ring!  And, it’s even better when it’s a person as nice as Adam and his family! 🙂

Lost and Found 14k engagement ring, Green Bay, WI

I received a call and message from Somer the afternoon of Saturday, October 30th, 2020 (Halloween mind you) sharing she lost her engagement ring in the front yard of her residence. She explained to me the night before friends were over for a social gathering. Somer mentioned she took her ring off to show one of her friends. The friend gave it back while Somer was getting her mail from the mailbox during the evening hours. She decided to put the ring on the mail instead of back on her finger. Well, the ring fell off the mail into the grass (so she strongly believed and thought!) Somer and her fiancé, Nate, spend a better part of the day on their hands and knees looking for ring without success. So, I took my trusty CTX 3030 and began swinging my machine with a small coil since there was a lot of targets in the yard and very close together. My first target rang up “gold” and on the surface…Somer was excited thinking and believing it was her ring…I did too…wrong!!…just under the eyesight of the grass, up popped a nickel. Both Somer and I were thoroughly disappointed. I continued detecting and digging anything that was noting on my machine 2” or less knowing and expecting a surface find. While I was doing my part searching the grass meticulously and the path Somer took from the mailbox to the garage, Nate was meandering on the road near the mailbox, he saw the ring near a manhole cover…right out in the open. None of us have any idea how the ring found its way from the mailbox on the street and not on the grass. Though, I did not find the ring directly, I’d like to believe I shared in the success of rescuing. Ring found and put back on Somer’s hand. She was ecstatic and was a team effort to find. Heirloom Wedding Ring lost while swimming in the ocean recovered.

The long day began with a 4AM wake up and two hour drive to catch the first ferry out to Little Cranberry Island, Maine. My objective to search for and recover this heirloom diamond wedding band which had originally belonged to the owner’s Great Grandfather. The ring was lost over a week earlier on Friday the 13th while swimming at Sand Beach, the day before his vacation ended, he returned home thinking the ring was gone forever. A friend recommended he look for a Detectorist online, where he found my page on The Ring Finders site and gave me a call. The search took about 7 hours during which the 10 foot tide rose and then partially receded, ending with a successful recovery. On a side note, since this beach frames a working harbor my rusty nail, pull tab, bottle cap and unidentifiable metal shard collection grew significantly during the hunt for this ring.  A portion of the generous reward received will be donated to the Mid-Coast Leos (sponsored by Camden Lions Club) to help with their community service projects, which I am blessed to part of as a Leos Advisor.

Lost Diamond Ring During Atlantic Beach Gathering Found With Good Timing

Jo Ann was brought out to Atlantic Beach for a family photo shoot and to spend time with her family.   Her great grand kids had gathered sand & fiddler crabs in a bucket.  Jo Ann put her hand into the bucket of sand, water & crabs when one of her rings slipped off into the bucket.  It wasn’t until after the bucket was dumped back into the oncoming surf that it was discovered, one of her rings was missing.  A friend and I were just walking onto the beach to help remove some of the metal garbage laying under the sand when a family member approached us and told us of the situation.  After a few passes, the ring was found in the sand under the shallow water.  It took about 5 minutes.  We walked up to where they were sitting and none of them had realized we had found her ring.  They started to thank us for searching thinking were didn’t find the ring when we presented the ring.  They were very thankful but on a tight schedule so we made the return as brief as possible and we went back to cleaning the beach.

Lost wedding ring metal detecting search Minnesota lake scuba

A young couple had their wedding at a northern Minnesota cabin, everything went great until the wedding party decided to board a pontoon and all jump off into the water. The bride had her wedding ring on for only a few hours and now it was lost in the lake. Luckily they had the right idea and marked the spot with an anchor and a float.

The grooms grandfather found me on theringfinders.com and I made the 3 and half hour drive the next morning. They marked the spot well and the water was only 4 feet deep or so. I found the ring in just a few minutes. Congrats to the bride and groom and hopes for a long and happy marriage!

FYI – Bride wasn’t available for the PIC, so I got the grooms smile :O)

Charlie lost her wedding ring while she was swimming at a local beach, her husband Brandyn found me via the ring finders web site. It was a 3 hour drive and only a 5 minute scuba search. Glad I could help out.

Lost Ring Cobourg Ontario…Found!

Received a text early this morning from Keelin. She and her friends went to a local beach in Cobourg Ontario for a late evening swim and camp fire by the shore of Lake Ontario. Fortunately for her, and the recovery of her ring, all the stars lined up as she specifically recalled feeling the ring slip off her finger and at what depth she was while in the water. Met up with Keelin and her dad first thing this morning, and ten minutes later found her ring within 20 feet from where she thought it was lost. Keelin’s fiancé currently lives in the UK and they haven’t seen each other since last January due to COVID. They are scheduled to get married this October, in the UK, and is extremely happy that she will be able to wear her lost and found engagement ring. Watch the video. Another happy ending!

I got a phone call from a young man who told me he lost his wedding band in a lake at Whistler, he told me he was swiping at a mosquito and his ring flew into the bushes. It had been about a couple of weeks and he found me online and asked if I was willing to come up and find his ring.

Of course I was up for the challenge, it was about a 2 Hour Dr. each way and part of the drive I had to jump in his vehicle because the road was so bad going into the lake that it had to be a special vehicle with enough clearance to make the big dips and  bumps.

After arriving to this beautiful lake, Sunny showed me the direction that his ring had flown. I thought for sure this could take at least two hours, it was a very difficult search due to all the overgrowth, trees, branches and big rocks, I thought for sure I was in for a long search.

It was only a matter of minutes with a lot of luck that I found his ring, sometimes the ring gods are with us, today they were! I was so happy to get this ring back to Sunny and see his smile!

LOST PLATINUM WEDDING RING IN HAZENMORE, SASKATCHEWAN FARM YARD

Karrie husband was reading the Costco Connection when he read the article Hunting treasures. He searched the Ring Finders and contacted me.   Karrie had lost her wedding ring  so 30 days prior while playing catch with her daughter in the back yard. the ring was on her glove hand and was thought to be lost when she had to remove the glove to retrieve the ball from under the evergreen trees.  They had purchased a metal detector but could find the ring.

We made arrangements to meet.  I did a search of the evergreen trees on both sides of the yard and grid search of the main area of the yard. I was into the second  hour of the search and got a  great tone and 49 VDI  in the 2 in depth the ring was covered by the grass. Karrie was very happy to get the lost ring back on her finger.

This has to be one of the best feelings to return a precious lost item to someone that may have given up all hope of ever seeing it again.
