Last June, I received a frantic request from Rob, a visitor from Los Angeles, California, who had just lost his wedding band. I hopped off the dock in my wet suit, and had the ring back on his finger in less than two minutes! Whew! I’m not always that bold in my predictions. Rob thanked me profusely, and insisted I share a beer and watch the sunset with his family, though the real glow was coming from his smile.

Got a text message the other night in regards to a Lost Ring in a volleyball court, this will be my third this year and so far I was two for two. I talk to the young man and asked him the questions I needed to know before I showed up, in regards to the search. He told me his friends searched for a long time into the dark and he bought a Metal Detector but still couldn’t find the ring.
We arrange to meet the next morning at 10 AM when the manager open the gate, even though he had bought a Metal Detector and his friends had search I knew my chances were great. After setting up my search I decided not to use my sand scoop in order to surprise him with the find, it took about 10 minutes and I found his beautiful white gold wedding band and I was able to surprise him.

Patrick and his wife were getting ready to tube down the Cannon River in Minnesota, while getting on the tube, Patrick saw his wedding band come off his hand and he tried his best to grab it. The ring disappeared into the river, about waist deep with a very rocky bottom. He tried to find it, and just couldn’t get it. He searched for help on the internet and found theringfinders.com – I met him down by the river and decided that scuba would be the best as the bottom was full of huge rocks and there is no way I could use a scoop to try and recover any signals. I found a few coins and some garbage as usual, though it only took about 15 – 20 minutes and that nice tone rang in my ears. I knew it was the ring.

Could you imagine how this young man felt when he lost a very special gift that his father gave him, it was a gold Cartier ring. He took it off when he went swimming and put it in his pant pocket when he got out of the water and dried off he put his pants back on, when he got home he realized his ring was missing.
He returned to the beach early in the morning and saw three people metal detecting, he asked all of them if they could help and they search the area but could not find the ring. He then found TheRingFinders online and gave me a call the next day. I listen to a story and the fact that people were already searching for the ring made me believe it could’ve already been found as a lot of people metal detector the beach during the night and in the early morning hours. I explained to Alex that someone may have already found it but what I would do is come out and search just for the closure aspect of it.
I arrive to the beach approximately 24 hours after the ring was lost at around 9 PM the beach was still full of people so I could not swing a detector, I sat and waited for a while as the area starting to clear off I started to grid search, a lady came running up to me crying and asking for help, she lost a very special bracelet, I found that within a minute or two and continued on to my search for the lost gold Cartier ring.
I searched about 75% of the area but still had 25% or more to search but too many people were still showing up to the beach so I went back to my car and slept for a little while when I woke up it was late in the evening close to 2 am in the morning and hardly anybody was on the beach. I began my search and after 30 minutes to my surprise I found his beautiful gold ring!
I got a to say I was surprised! I think he will be when I show it to him later on in the week. I decided to text him and tell him that I couldn’t search as much of the beach as I needed to because of the crowds of people. I told him I’m going to go back in the middle of the week to continue my search. He agreed to meet me Wednesday afternoon and that’s when I was going to surprise him with his ring.
I love hearing the stories of what these items mean to people and I’m so honoured to be able to help continue this beautiful story for this young man.

Raeven and her husband were at the beach and decided to shake the sand off of their tapestry. They both forgot she had removed her wedding ring to apply sunscreen earlier. Unfortunately, it was after the tapestry was clean they realized the ring was lost into the sand. After searching for over 2 hours, with no luck and accepted that they were out all that money and her beautiful ring. Raeven searched online for similiar stories to see if anyone had advice. She was able to locate Steven Ray a member of The Ring Finders and called only to find out he was out of town. Steven was able to contact a friend to aid in the recovery. Carl arrived quickly and found her ring in a matter of minutes! Raeven and her husband were so shocked and happy! Raeven said Carl was a very kind man and they couldn’t be more grateful. Both are in the military stationed in North Carolina but originally from the Midwest and Raeven confessed they didn’t realize how fast things get lost in the sand. Without our help, she stated, many in their predicament would be lost.
Noelle & Kevin called me about Noelle’s lost wedding band and engagement ring. They were visiting relatives on a lake in Minnesota. It was a very hot day and they decided to take a swim off the dock. Noelle took her rings off and left them with her shoes and towels on the dock. While they were swimming, their dogs were playing on the dock and knocked the rings into the water. They searched to no avail and decided to google “lost rings” to see if anyone could help. Google came up with the theringfinders.com and they gave me a call. It had to be a quick turn around as they were only visiting for a couple days and were leaving soon. I switched a few plans around and headed up to the lake. Received a call from Christy explaining that both of her rings flew off her fingers while she was brushing sand from her children’s face and disappeared into the sand. Christy and her family had just arrived in town for vacation and proceeded right to the beach once they arrived. Took the short ride over and met up with Christy and her husband. After gathering some details, I had both rings in the scoop in a matter of about 10 minutes. Relieved, Christy and her family can now enjoy the rest of their vacation!!
