Who says there is never a ring finder around when you need one??? LOL. I was driving home and I live close to a golf course so as I was passing by I saw a friend’s car and pulled in to say hello. It looked like he and a few other people were looking for something…low and behold – a lost ring. He started laughing and said your ears must have been burning. I got out chatted for a few but I did not have my equipment and the person who lost the ring was not there. I told my buddy – I will be back to find it in the morning.

So the next morning I went back and met with Dean. He was taking his jacket off and his ring got caught in the sleeve and flew off. He was in a parking spot right next to the driving range and the ring was somewhere in the grass. I immediately got to work. After about 45 minutes I located the ring. I dont always have the opportunity to do it but I measured…the ring flew 18 feet away from where he was when he lost it.

Dean was very happy to have his ring back and I was glad to have been able to help!

I got a call from Mike that he was removing some trash from in front of his house when his ring flew off his finger. Mike said that he and some of the neighbors had searched the area but were unable to find it and he thought maybe it went into the sewer. It was Good Friday and I was planning on heading to church in a little bit so I was hesitant to head out until after mass however, my wife convinced me to go and help Mike – maybe that was my calling for the day. So I told Mike I would be right out and about an hour later I arrived. Looking at where the sewer was compared to where he had been standing when he lost his ring I was thinking that would be one heck of shot and some really bad luck if it went into the sewer, so I had my doubts it went in there. I began my search, checking the most logical place which was the neighbor’s yard across the street and I came up empty so I went back over in front of Mike’s house. After scanning the front yard I moved to the lower side of the driveway where there was a slight drop off to the grass and BAM! there it was. Mike was very surprised at where I had found it in relation to where he had lost it. He and his wife were ever so grateful. The nice thing about a semi-quick find like this was I got to spend a bit of time talking to Mike afterwards. As always – it is great to meet kind and generous people like Mike and his wife and be able to return his lost ring! And I was really glad my wife talked me into going out sooner than later…there is only one Easter miracle but this was definitely a blessing!

Lost Platinum Wedding Band – FOUND! Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh

Lost your ring, other valuable jewelry, cellphone, keys, or other metal object…call or text Brian Carpenter at (814)244-2300 as soon as possible. I am a ring recovery specialist serving Pittsburgh, Indiana (PA), and most of Western PA.

I received a phone call from a young lady who said her husband lost his wedding band in a park near the Mr. Lebanon high school on Thanksgiving Eve. It was late afternoon and it was about an hour and a half to the park and it would be dark before I could get there, but I set out to see if I could find it. As it turns out the couple was visiting family in the area and took the dog to the park to play ball. First throw and there went the ball and the wedding band!

I got to the park and started my search in the area they thought the ring might be. I came up empty…but I was just getting started. I encouraged the couple to go and visit with their family as I thought I might be in for a long search and reluctantly they went to do so, kindly not wanting to leave me there alone in the park which I really appreciated. I decided it was time to expand my search area and picked a new marker to start from and as luck would have it I found the ring, about 10 feet from where I had started. I called and reported that I had found the ring, I do not think they even had time to get around the corner. It was awesome to be able to return the lost ring and they were ecstatic to have it back. As always, it was great to recover the ring and meet such nice and generous folks, just another reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving holiday!

Brian Carpenter – Ring Recovery Specialist, Pittsburgh, PA and Indiana, PA. Lost your ring or other valuable jewelry, cell phone, keys? Metal Detecting Service. Call/Text 814-244-2300 as soon as possible for assistance. I received a call from David that he thought he lost his gold wedding band while working in the yard the day before. I arrived at the house and it was explained that the day before they were cleaning out the garden and there was a small spot in the backyard, a garbage can, and some fabric pots where the ring could most likely be located. I checked the yard area first with no luck. The next likely place was to be the garbage can so I dumped out the can full of tomatoes and plants…no luck! I cleaned up the yard and started to check the fabric pots. I got a faint sound, but enough to make me investigate further. Using my pinpointer I located the ring about halfway down in the pot. David was elated to have his ring back and I was all to happy to be able to have recovered it. As always – it was a great pleasure to meet kind and generous people like David and his wife, and the cherry on top was being able to return his ring!

I received a text from Arthur that he had lost his grandfather’s ring in his neighbor’s backyard. In talking to Arthur it was on a tray that he dumped, forgetting it was on there. He heard it hit the chain link fence separating the yards and spent hours in vain looking, unable to find it. The ring was very special (as most are) with the story of this one having belonged to his grandfather who served in World War II and then continued serving in the NYPD. The ring was from his grandfather’s time in the NYPD.

I arrived at the house and met Arthur who showed me the search area. Pretty standard, however, the chain link fence of course could pose a challenge. My thought was it was directly under the fence and would be very difficult to locate. I searched with my large coil first, then switched to my smaller one to get closer to the fence. It took me about an hour, but I located the ring a short distance from fence next to a large pine tree. The pine needles provided the perfect hiding place.

Arthur was elated to have his ring back as his face lit up with a great big smile. The ring was a large gold ring and was inscribed Captain, a tribute to the rank of Arthur’s Grandfather at the time of his retirement I would assume. There was a little bit of added pressure trying to find and return this hero’s ring to his grandson and I am glad to have been able to do so. It is always a blessing to meet kind and generous people like Arthur and a pleasure to have been able to find and return his ring!!

Rose Gold Engagement Ring and Wedding Band – FOUND! in Mars, PA near Pittsburgh

Brian Carpenter – Ring Recovery Specialist, Pittsburgh, PA and Indiana, PA. Lost your ring or other valuable jewelry, cell phone, keys? Metal Detecting Service. Call/Text 814-244-2300 as soon as possible for assistance. I got a text from Sharon who lost her engagement ring and wedding band behind her house on an access road in tall grass. I was on my way back from a trip so I was not able to head out until the next day.

Upon my arrival Sharon took me back and showed me where she thought she lost the rings. They had been in her pocket and she believed that when she took something else out the rings must have fallen. I surveyed the area, she had been out playing with her kids and had been in the tall grass on both sides of the road. There was  steep hill on one side with a ditch and the grass in this area does not appear to get mowed.

I got started as the temperature was rising and suddenly the arm cuff separated from the shaft of my detector. This has never happened before, I was only about an hour in and had a lot more land to cover. I tried to fix it only to discover it actually snapped. It was pretty awkward but I kept going. I finished the one hill and was walking up the other side of the road heading back to take a quick break when I caught a break…the sweet sound of gold in my headphones. I looked down and had found the engagement ring. I was hoping that the wedding band would be close by. I searched the immediate area in the grass pretty hard hoping it was there. Sharon had come down to see where I had found her diamond. When she learned that they were not together she gave me a pass and said she understood if I needed to go or wanted to stop however, there was no way I was giving up just yet! It took me a little while longer but I did find the wedding band camouflaged on the road in the light gray shale.

It was the first time I had to look for a wedding band and engagement ring together. I am glad I found them both and Sharon was elated to have her rings back!

I received a text from Mr. Lopez who stated that he had lost his ring while gardening at his residence and would like my assistance. Upon my arrival Mr. Lopez stated that he had been working in his garden in the front yard and had spent some time in the back yard as well. Mr. Lopez had a front yard that is one big impressive garden with several different species of flowers and plants. The challenge here would be to make it around all of the plants and flowers without disturbing all of his hard work and not missing any of the terrain where the ring could be hiding at the same time. I began my search and BAM! within the first few minutes (a personal best!) I found the ring hiding in a tuft of grass. When I knocked on the door Mr. Lopez was concerned that I was knocking so quickly after getting started that maybe his cat had escaped from the house, however much to his surprise it was because I had found his ring. I was relieved to have found Mr. Lopez’s ring and return it to him as he had mentioned about having to replace it and I believe that some things can just not truly be replaced.
