A couple vacationing from New Zealand recently had called me for help to find a precious heirloom diamond wedding ring lost at Del Mar beach San Diego the previous day before.

Here’s  another 911/urgent call I had to arrange and show up promptly or it would not of been found by me!  This is one of the most populated or well known areas at Del Mar that gets slammed by metal detector hobbyists searching for lost treasures on a daily basis. I remember over decade ago…Us locals here use to let these beaches build up for a few days with with freshly dropped targets to hunt for but now that’s long gone!

Fortunately Ambition was on my side this morning weekend as I paused what I was doing and drove straight there to find this sentimental ring for them.    Although it wasn’t lost in a large area, It was basically buried deep in the beach sand where they finger searched for many hours to no avail. Lost jewelry is definitely inevitable to find with out proper metal detecting gear combined with the experience of someone to use them….?

Lost Wedding Ring Holiday, Fl….Found!!

            Dunedin Ring Finder

Lost a ring or other metal valuable in a grassy or sandy area? Jewelry slip off of you while working outside, playing with the dog or swimming? Please call me ASAP at (843) 995-4719. I offer a free metal detecting service, reward optional but appreciated upon recovery!

Over the course of the last several months, I have received calls to search for several pieces of jewelry including a woman’s titanium wedding ring in the water, a gold chain with a diamond cross in the water, a gold ankle bracelet in the sand or water, and a gold wedding ring. The only recovery was the last one which the owner found at her home the next day!

Recently, I received a text from Ymalai and she told me that she had been searching for hours for her white gold diamond wedding ring that she lost in her neighbor’s yard. Her wedding band had slipped off as well but she had found that ring during her search. I arrived and began my search in the thick weeds and grass of the vacant lot owned by the neighbors and in the area where Ymalai had found her wedding band. After a few minutes, Ymalai’s husband Joel arrived and began assisting in the search. Joel walked behind me and further into the neighbor’s yard when he spied the ring on the ground hidden amongst the weeds. Another recovery by the owner! Ymalai and Joel, thank you for contacting me to assist in the search.

Engagement ring found in thick bushes in Harrisburg, PA

  • from Reading (Pennsylvania, United States)

I received a call from Sydney stating her engagement ring was lost in very thick bushes outside of a hotel. She stated someone else had tried to search for it but was unable to find it. As they searched the night before they removed a lot of cans and garbage from deep inside the bush. When I arrived I found the bushes to be much bigger then expected and a lot of trash sitting next to them. I knew this would be difficult because of all the metal garbage and because I would have to climb into the middle of the bushes which were about 4ft high.

I first scanned the tops and worked my way down through the bush in case the ring was stuck within the thick branches. Once that turned up nothing, I climbed into the middle and began searching under the bushes with my Garrett Super Sniper 4.5″ coil as the regular coil would not fit. After about 20min, of searching, I found the ring laying under pine needles. When I emerged from the bush and handed Sydney her ring, she was overcome with emotion. She immediately called her fiancé to tell him the news.

When you need a lost piece of jewelry found, don’t hesitate to call me at 610-207-8677. I have the proper equipment and expertise to to assist you.

Ring Found at Douglas, Michigan

  • from Holland (Michigan, United States)
Another Douglas Michigan Ring Found! I received a text from Garth that his wife, Tina, had lost her ring a couple of days ago at their vacation cottage on Lake Michigan. A few weeks ago also in the Douglas area, I found the wedding band of Garth’s cousin, Dan, so Dan gave Garth my number.
Today’s co-searcher, my brother-in-law, Neil, and I arrived a bit early, and the Grandmother showed us to the beach area where the ring was lost. In a few minutes I found the ring and waited for Garth and Tina to arrive. I buried the ring again in the sand and Garth, Tina and their son, Wyatt, arrived shortly after. We showed them the area that we had gridded looking for the ring and finally I went and grabbed the ring and gave it to Garth without Tina noticing. He bent down and buried the ring in front of Tina and Wyatt and then they uncovered the prize together. Saved good memories for another vacation.

2 Lost Gold Charms Found in Chesterfield Township Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

In Loving Memory……

…..it all started when Finn was a puppy. She began taking interest in what her owner Mike was always doing. He started taking her on his fishing trips and that’s how she got her name. Last March at age 11 she passed away. As Mike, his wife Sara and daughter were grieving the loss, Sara decided to purchase some charms with the initials M E F, along with a paw and a heart representing the whole family. Meanwhile, the family met and fell in love with a new puppy they named Fiona. About a week ago Sara and Fiona were playing in the yard and as Fiona jumped towards Sara who was sitting on the ground the puppy’s arm caught Sara’s necklace and the charms went flying. Sara spent nearly 8 hours searching and recovered the M, E and the heart charm. Leaving for a week’s vacation left the F and paw somewhere in the grass. Agreeing to meet this morning I met Mike as Sara had an unexpected work assignment out of town. Taking a reading off one of the charms gave me a baseline to go by. These were very small items, barely detectable. Starting my grid search about 5 feet from where the other charms were found I was getting lost of weird signals in the same range as the already found charms on my metal detector meter. I treated this like a beach hunt and checked all the signals. Getting close to where the other charms were found I got a very faint but solid signal. Probing down into the thick grass and searching with my fingers revealed the Paw charm that was hiding in the turf! Excited that this one was found first I called Mike over to see. He couldn’t believe it! I said it shouldn’t be too much longer until the F charm was discovered. As he went into the house to bring out the sandwich bag the other charms were in, I got another good signal a few inches away. Reaching down and searching thru the grass revealed the F charm tilted a bit sideways at the base of the grass. When Mike got close enough, I held the charm in my hand and said F stands for Finn! He did a few double blinks in disbelief as he reached for the charm to put it into the bag. Totally shocked he called Sara and told her the good news! I could hear her expressions of happiness as Mike held the phone away from his ear!

So, in remembrance, May Finn rest in peace until they all meet again at the rainbow bridge!

How to find a lost ring

My day started out early as I rolled out of bed and sat in my office in front of my computer working on my directory. Out of nowhere I had this feeling to go to the beach and doing some detecting as the weather wasn’t as nice as it has been and I knew there wouldn’t be a lot of people out, so I packed up my detector and headed for the beach. I wasn’t sure which beach to search, normally a drive to the beach where ever my car takes me. That day it took me to Spanish Banks Beach and it turned out to be a good choice!

It was pretty slow going and as I turn a corner of the beach I saw someone detecting, at first I thought this person knows what they’re doing the swings were low to the ground but I noticed they didn’t have a sand scoop so my thought was maybe someone bought a metal detector and was just having a bit of fun or maybe they had lost something and they were looking for it.

Well it turned out they did lose something and the young man came over to ask for a bit of help, I told him they were in good hands and that I had a company called ”TheRingFinders” after asking many questions I started my grid search in the area where they thought the ring was lost. I search the area and kept expanding the grid for hours and over 20,000 steps (10 miles) and much much closer to the beach I was able to spot Nemos ring in the muddy sand. This beach it’s very common that rings will stay up a couple days or more before they start to bury down in the sand because of the hard pack.

You can imagine the relief when I was able to surprise them with that beautiful ring. It was a very long search and unfortunately when people do not know exactly where they could’ve lost it it just becomes a game of inches and you have to go over that inch…

Forked River NJ Necklace lost at the Lake recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder august 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Aubreigh. She was at the lake on Wednesday and somehow she lost her extremely sentimental necklace that was given to her by her late mother. The area where their blanket was is where she felt it was definitely lost. Sure enough, within 30 seconds if got a scratchy tone, moved the sand with my foot, and there it was. The look on her face was priceless. She was by far the youngest person I have had call, and my gosh, so professional, and determined.

Sterling Silver Ring Lost in Back Yard, Parkview Neighborhood, Edmonton Alberta.

Lloyd was a past client of mine about four years ago, He had called me to locate his gold ring which he lost while throwing a ball for his dog which I found and returned to him.
This time he had lost a sterling silver ring which was given to him from a dear friend that has since passed away so this ring has a very special meaning to him.
Lloyd told me he was planting shrubs in his front yard and picking weeds in his back yard so he said it could be anywhere! Lloyd had a couple of friends with him looking for the ring but had no luck in finding it. I searched his front yard and then the back yard and it was in the back yard where I found his ring along his flower beds. Lloyd was relieved to have his ring back on his finger.
Thank you Lloyd, for another successful search.

Sherry called me to ask if it was possible to retrieve her blue sapphire ring from her burnt out home in north Edmonton. I told her it was possible as long as the house was still standing and not reduced to rubble.  Sherry told me the roof was gone but her bedroom was full of insulation and water damage her ring had been on the dresser but she could not find it anywhere.  She also informed me that someone had looted her home and got away with some valuables. I agreed to do a search for Sherry to put her mind at rest and give her closure.  Sherry told me that she had this ring in her possession for 47 years and would like to have it back before the house was demolished and rebuilt.

I searched her bedroom and within 10 minute found the ring in perfect condition.  Sherry could not believe that I had found her ring in all that rubble – a happy client!
