Holgate NJ (LBI) Lost Engagement Ring in the Sand recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call today from Justin. He was at the beach in Holgate NJ (LBI) with his fiancé, Samantha. After setting up their chairs and umbrella, Sam took off her shorts, placed them with her stuff, and took a walk down by the water. It was then she realized her beautiful platinum engagement ring was gone. She quickly went back and looked in her pocket where she had placed it when applying sun block, back by at the car, before heading to the beach. It was not there and she was devastated. They contacted me, and after a short conversation we decided to do the recovery. I cleared the area of a few bottle caps, then pow!!! the low platinum signal I was looking for. They were amazed I had found it. This one was SUPER special, they are getting married next month, and now have the ring back for the ceremony

Matt and his family spent some time on the beach in Atlantic City, NJ today. For safekeeping, he put his wedding band in his hat. As he was walking off the beach, he remembered that he didn’t put the ring back on. It was too late by that point. The ring was already lost in the sand. He gave me a call and I met him and his parents where they thought the ring could have dropped. After a few minutes of searching, I was able to recover the band!

Surf City NJ (LBI) Lost Wedding Ring on the Beach recovered by Edward Trapper NJ Ring Finder August 2022

  • from Lavallette (New Jersey, United States)

Got a call from Susan about her ring she dropped in the sand today in Surf City NJ. It had great sentimental value to her, as I could tell after just a short time on the phone. Lucky I was able to arrive promptly, as she had made reservations for later in the afternoon. Kudos to her and her husband for preparing the area it was lost, which made for a quick recovery. A very short time later they were on their way, with her cherished ring back on her finger. So many happy memories doing this.

Got a call Saturday from Karen about her husband Victors ring, that was lost in the sand in Beach Haven on LBI. I met them at 5AM Sunday, but had no luck in locating the ring. Victor was positive the ring had fallen off his chair when he was applying sunblock, so I decided to go back Monday afternoon. After a short while, and with the help of lifeguards Grace, Maggie, and Kyle, the ring was located and returned to Victor.

Lost – Lady’s diamond turquoise and men’s wedding band, Kill Devil Hills, OBX, NC – FOUND!

  • from Ponce Inlet (Florida, United States)

Monday it was raining, with lightning and thunder.  My iPhone rang.  The lady was saying that she had lost her engagement ring on the beach.  I asked her if it was in the water…she said no.  I told her that we had a great chance of finding the ring, but we should try to go out after the storm even if it is dark.  I told her that I would call her in 30 minutes.

I called her and the storm had move off to the south and east.  I met Regina and her friend Susan at the beach access.  As they led me to the beach, I fired up the XP detector.  As we got closer, they said they thought we were at the area…but something was wrong; things looked different after the rain, and they were not 100% sure.

As a beautiful rainbow appeared to the south, Regina gave me a starting point and I began doing sweeps.  When I was about halfway through my second sweep, Regina told me there was a second ring, not as important or expensive.  It was her late husband’s wedding band.  I thought, we must find these.  I said, “So if I find one, I should find the other.”

I was in my third or forth sweep finding nothing but bottle caps when I got a solid sounding target.  I thought it could be the ring but I expected a lower number.  There it was!  In the scoop!  Even though it was getting darker, the diamonds sparkled, and the turquois stone glistened.

I held the stone up to show the ladies who had ventured off to the south.  Regina saw it and immediately began crying as I gave it to her.  One more simple sweep and I dug the other ring out with my toe.  Hugs, tears…another person recovered happy beyond belief!

We found two rings at the end of the rainbow!

I received a call from Tony’s wife Blyss about his lost wedding band in North Wildwood, NJ. He placed the ring on his knee before applying sunscreen and forgot it was there. It fell off his knee and disappeared in the sand as soon as he stood up. I met the couple on the beach and the ring was found in less than 30 seconds.

Lost Gold Ring on Softball Field Found on Belle Isle Detroit Michigan

  • from Detroit (Michigan, United States)

Flashing Some Leather…..

…with 2 outs and bases loaded Shema heard the crack of the bat on the ball. As it soared past 2nd base, she full throttled it from her position in center field and took a dive. Making the catch and claiming victory, during the team celebration she noticed her ring missing. Trying to celebrate and not worry where her ring went was becoming difficult, so she and some teammates started to look around. With dusk approaching they called off the search. As with all rings and jewelry there is a story behind them. Shema received this ring from her grandmother prior to her passing away, so she was totally devastated when she had to leave the ballfield that night. A sleepless night was followed by her back out on the ballfield the next morning. She had a general idea where to look so using the quick turn on a go mode with my MXT metal detector I started to grid search. Closing in on the general area I got a good signal. Using my pin pointer detector, I moved some grass aside and the glint of gold shone thru. Shema quickly reached down and lifted her ring from the grass. Totally amazed she could hardly catch her breath. Hugs and high fives followed and although her team won the game, scoring her ring was the winning run!

Lost – Gold and Silver Men’s Swiss Army dress watch – Kitty Hawk, Outer Banks, NC – FOUND!!

  • from Ponce Inlet (Florida, United States)

I got a Facebook message at 8:45 pm.  I did not see it until the next day.  The message read:  “Please help friends at Kitty Hawk.  He thinks he misplaced his watch at the beach just above the tide mark. (Soft sand) Swiss Army Men’s Officer’s dress watch.  His wife has a matching one only smaller. (Very sentimental)

I called and talked with Sally.  She told me that they were leaving today at 10am.  I met them at the site after 7:30am.

I started the XP up at the water’s edge (as usual) and worked toward the cottage.  Only a few hits but no watch.  Bill was very meticulous.  Yesterday, when the watch turned up missing, he had recorded directional heading from the cottage to where they had been on the beach.  From that he was able to mark a 30-yard search area near the water.  Yet, no watch!

I continued up over the dune along the walk path.  Bill had mentioned previously mentioned that they had a bag on the beach that was emptied under the house in a sandy area.  I decided to check knowing that if this didn’t work, I would have to come back at low tide and probably go in the water.

Big hit!  The Deus II screamed at me.  I knew it was the watch.  It had worked its way down to about 5 inches in the sand.

I knocked on the cottage door and presented the watch.  Billy and Sally were thrilled!
