I saw a post on the Daytona Dig & Find Metal Detecting Club Facebook page. A woman had lost a heavy gold tennis bracelet set with diamonds in the shallow water in front of the Hawaiian Inn. Several detectorists had already searched for it, but no one had been able to find it. The owner, […]

Mia had gone to the beach for a relaxing day, never imagining she’d lose one of her most treasured possessions—a necklace with a beautiful glass pendant. When she was just four years old, her mom bought matching pendants for herself and her two daughters during a magical family vacation to the Bahamas. Mia wore hers […]

I had just gotten into my car for a couple of hours of metal detecting when my phone rang. I was headed to a spot in South Daytona when Amro called. Referred by my good friend Mike, he explained that he had lost his platinum wedding ring while swimming in the surf in front of […]

Lost — Men’s Silver Tungsten Wedding Ring, Daytona Beach, FOUND!!! (2026)
I got a call from Keith early Sunday afternoon. He and his wife of less than a year, Kaylee, were enjoying Memorial Day weekend on Daytona Beach when a strong wave hit him in the surf. Instantly, he felt his wedding ring slip from his finger. He saw it briefly in the water and tried […]

Lost – Silver Grateful Dead Ring, Daytona Beach, FL – FOUND!!! (2026)
I had just wrapped up a hunt in Ormond Beach and decided to make one more stop on the way home. Heading north along the shoreline, I noticed a young man standing still in the shallows. He kept his eyes fixed on the water as small waves rolled past, like he was searching for something […]

Ed, I can’t thank you enough. (2024)
Ed, I can’t thank you enough. I knew when I posted it to the Facebook page it was a long shot and then you came along and it didn’t take long at all to have his ring back on his finger. It’s his comfort zone and calms him during stress! Ed found it right in time for our 1st year anniversary! We greatly appreciate you Ed and you really go above and beyond! I feel it lifts your spirits to lift others and in such a positive way as wedding rings symbolize much more than just being a ring! Thank you Ed for everything!!!

Ed came through in a big, big way! Cannot recommend him enough. (2022)
"My husband lost his wedding band in the ocean (Nags Head, NC) where the waves break earlier this week. 24 hours later, I was referred to Ed Duffy. I thought it was a long shot, especially being the next day but decided it was worth a try. Ed came right out on the beach within 30 minutes of me calling him. It wasn’t 30 minutes after he had arrived on the beach that he found the ring - in the waves, buried about 10” deep in the sand! Needless to say we were all shocked and thrilled! We thought his ring was certainly lost in the ocean for good but Ed came through in a big, big way! Cannot recommend him enough."

Edward Duffey, thank you so much for finding my ring! What a wonderful service you provide... (2020)
Edward Duffey, thank you so much for finding my ring! What a wonderful service you provide. I spent all day combing through the sand with my fingers to no avail… I probably turned over the area in front of my chair a dozen times. I would have never found it just a few feet away. Within an hour of calling Edward, he called me back, drove to meet us, and found the ring in just a few minutes. I’m so glad this week can be remembered as our first vacation with our 6-month-old son and not the year I lost my wedding ring!
