Wedding Ring Lost at Santa Monica Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned.

I was sitting at home last Sunday afternoon when I received a call from Julian regarding his wedding ring which he lost at the beach playing volley ball. He told me that he dove for the ball when his ring flew off of his finger. He also said that there were about 15 of his friends searching with him for about an hour and a half, using their hands and a rake to no avail. I told him I would come right away, and was on my way.

I got to the court, and Julian came right over to show me the area where he believed the loss occurred. He showed me what had happened, and I told him I would get right on it. I began my first pass, and got a bottle cap. A few swings more, and I had Julian’s ring in my scoop; about 3 minutes total. He was so surprised, and his friends could not believe it. They had scoured that area for 1 1/2 hours, and I had it within minutes. It is so important to call someone right after the loss to increase the chances of a recovery, please don’t wait. It was awesome to see all the shared joy that afternoon; two thumbs up!

Sapphire & Diamonds 18k White Gold Wedding Ring Found Near Coal Creek… Bellevue, WA!!!

Diamonds and sapphires in white gold!

I got a call from Randy who lost his ring sometime last month while driving to a jobsite. Apparently he had removed his ring and put it into a cup (with some liquid) in his console. Sometime later, he forgot it was in there and he tossed the contents out the window as he was driving around the bend to one of his worksites!!!

Luckily Randy remembered seeing a Ringfinders Facebook post that featured my previous find and looked me up! He remembered the turn on the road and gave me a general area to look for his ring.

I searched the side of the road for some time… After gridding the area he pointed out, I extended my search area. He was close in proximity but it was a bit further than he remembered. I found it! A beautiful white gold ring with some really cool sapphires and diamonds!

Remote And Truck Keys Lost In N/E Edmonton, Alberta

Danny called me this morning requesting my service to locate his keys and remote that he just lost while shoveling gravel in the basement of a new home and it was imperative that they where found before the cement truck came to pour the basement floor. I told Danny I would be there with in a half hour.

I met up with Danny at the house and he showed me the area that he was working in and that the keys could be six to eight inches down in the gravel. I told him no problem, I will find them after a few passes over the gravel.  I found his keys about four inches down. Danny was very happy that the keys where found as replacing them would have been very expensive,  along with a costly tow truck ride to the dealership.

Found women’s platinum engagement ring in Richardson TX

Bryan Camper texted me Sunday September 10th. His fiancé lost her engagement ring at their apartment small backyard. Contacted him and was able to go out today Wednesday 13th, and search for his fiancé s ring. After about an hour and a half we located the ring. We’re glad we made your day! Thank you Bryan for the reward!

Platinum Diamond Stud Ear Ring Lost For One Year… Found in Pea Gravel with Metal Detector

I received a call from Connie in Los Angeles, she told me that her mother in law, Priscella had misplaced a set of platinum/ diamond stud earrings almost a year ago. They were a gift for a special occasion over ten years ago and very sentimental to Priscella. After all the time that has past they had believed these ear rings were gone forever.

Fast forward ten months, Connie was visiting Priscilla and while sitting in a patio area Connie spotted the glimmer in the pea gravel that turned out to be one of the ear rings. They spent some time searching through the gravel for the other stud ear ring but not quite sure that the pair had been lost in the same location. To make things worse, the house had been sold. They would be leaving the property in two weeks.

After hearing the story I told her we had to give it a try. After all it wasn’t like she was sure both studs had been dropped in the same location.  I was available to meet her the next day.  Connie said, she would have the time to be there with the matching stud the next day at noon.

When I arrived we walked to the patio area where I set up my XP Deus metal detector with a hi frequency coil set at 74 KHz. The ladies went inside to take care of something. I began to search for “the needle in a haystack”. I immediately found two small pieces of wire, then Boom! One small platinum/ diamond stud ear ring that had been hiding for almost a year, looking at me from 2″or 3 ” in the gravel.

I was at the table taking photos of the prize when Connie walked up behind me asking “What’s the best thing you have ever found” .. My answer was .. A diamond stud ear ring as I pointed to the esr ring
on the table. Hugs and excitement from both Priscella and Connie. They had not built up their hopes of finding the matching ear ring so finding it was an awesome surprise.

I won’t get to see Priscella’s husband when she surprises him this evening by just wearing them at the dinner table. It was another special search and recovery. Also a pleasure to meet and help such nice people.

Lost Class Ring Recovered in Elkridge, Maryland!

I received a call from Langston about 2 weeks ago. He informed me that he lost his ring at a local park. I had a good feeling I would be successful in recovering it as he was very confident in where he lost it. I’ll let him tell you the rest in his own words……….

I had a game at Rockburn Park in Elkridge. Being a creature of habit I follow a set routine. Before I change shoes for the game, I always take off my class ring and watch, and put them in the same pocket in my bag and put them back on when the game is over.  After the game I was sitting in my open trunk changing shoes. I put my watch back on but couldn’t find my ring. I figured it must have fallen deeper into my bag and I just figured I’d find it in the light at home.
When I got home I dumped my bag and couldn’t find my ring. I figured it must have fallen out of the pocket on my bag when I was changing. I went to the field the next morning before work and looked for about 30 minutes in the area where I parked the night before with no luck. That afternoon one of my teammates also looked for the ring. I wanted to find the ring as soon as possible. My fear was that once they mowed the grass at the park, the ring would be irretrievable lost. This was my college class ring, and it had considerable sentimental value, especially since this year is the 20th anniversary of my graduation. I was contemplating renting a metal detector, but I did some online research and many said that unless you know what you’re doing, your chances of finding your lost item are slim. Also, this was the day before the Labor Day weekend. I was doubtful that I could find someone to come out, let alone that they would actually find the ring. I called Jim that evening and recalled the details of where I thought I lost the ring and he said he believed there was a good chance we could find it. We agreed to meet at the park first thing in the morning.
When I got to the park the next morning, Jim was already there waiting. I pointed out the areas that I traversed on the night I lost the ring and where I thought the ring probably fell out. Jim put on his headphones and got to work in the area I thought was the likely ring location. Not three minutes after we started, Jim waved me over and pointed down. Sitting in the grass exactly where I’d parked the night of the game was my class ring. I couldn’t believe he found it so fast.  He said that remembering all the details and narrowing down probable locations was the biggest help to him in finding the ring. Also, the park personnel said they normally mow the grass on Thursdays, but for some reason they didn’t that week. Lucky for me they didn’t!! I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone that is looking to retrieve a lost item. He was awesome!!!

Lost Property Corners and Sprinkler Lines Found in Southfield Michigan

Got a call from a nice lady (not pictured) inquiring about locating property corners and sprinkler lines in order to install a fence for her wonderful and affectionate pit pup. Located them with no problem with my Sidewinder metal detector. So now this cool dog will be able to enjoy the nice yard.

Lost gold ring gardening in Vancouver, BC

I received a call from young lady, she asked if I could find a ring that she lost a year ago under her front porch. Sounds easy enough so we set up a date for Saturday to come and look for it. She tells me that she rented a metal detector and found a bunch of nails and gave up the search, she also tells me they are selling the house and she needs to find this ring ASAP.

After arriving to the location, I met her husband and we went over the search location,  I’m still a little unclear  were the ring was lost, he said she was gardening that day but also told me the ring was lost under the front porch. I ended up calling his wife Tracy and she told me 100% the ring was lost under the front porch. After digging around in the rocks up pops a beautiful gold ring from behind some rocks up against the house.

Actors Gold Nugget Wedding Band Found at Spanish Banks, Vancouver.

I get a call from a Montreal area code and the young man said I’m in town working(Actor) I lost my ring in the ocean and can you help me find it? Of course I’m always up for the challenge and head out to Spanish Banks beach at 10 pm to work the water as it was going out.

This search was a little tough as he didn’t know the exact location, but after asking my questions I felt good about the search. I did a little stretch of the dry sand and had no luck so I headed into the water. Surprisingly there wasn’t many signals in the water, as a matter of fact the first signal I got was the young men’s ring. I was extremely happy as it only took 10 minutes to find the ring. That was a good thing because I had to work early in the next morning.

Unique White/Yellow Gold Ring Lost .. Laguna Beach, CA. .. Found

Rachael called asking if I was available to search for a ring that was lost in dry sand at a small cove in South Laguna Beach. We didn’t talk much about what happened. I just told them I’d be there in a half hour.

Rachael was part of the group at a beach party put together by her friends, Shae and Jeff. They were playing a beach game called Spike Ball. Where a ball is bounced off a small trampoline hitting it by hand. Jeff swung at the ball and his heavy White/Yellow gold went flying.

They raked, sifted and used a borrowed metal detector to search for it. After hours Rachael began to search on line for ideas to find the ring. It took a while and several calls before she found my information on TheRingFinders.com.

Jeff showed me where he was standing when he felt the ring fly off his finger. From past experience I know how these rings can go to the most unexpected locations. I grid searched the area that Jeff thought the ring went. Then I asked them to move the beach chairs and unrelated back 15 feet. Boom! I got the loud sound of big gold. Before digging it, ” This is The Ring” .. I gave the sand scoop to one of the little girls to scoop the prize as everybody watched.

Everybody was surprised at how they had been sitting on the ring the whole time. This ring was very a unique blended white and yellow gold the was purchased years ago when they lived in Switzerland.

Again, I heard them tell me that they didn’t know a service like TheRingFinders existed. I enjoyed meeting them and helping to find this very sentimental ring.
