Metal Detecting Equipment Houston, Texas (Anderson’s Xtreme Kit for Minelab Excalibur)

One of our sponsor at “The Ring Finders” is Anderson Detector Shafts (www.andersondetectorshafts.com) a provider of great metal detecting equipment. They have just sent me there newest Carbon Fiber multi-configuration shaft for the Excalibur II for testing and evaluation.

My initial thoughts after unboxing the detector shaft was WOW. Extraordinary quality, light weight, three configurations, durability for long term use in Salt water. I immediately new this would be the only detector shaft I would ever need for the Excalibur.

The shaft can be configured into any of the following set ups: Scuba Shaft, Over and Under, or the Long Shaft.

Diamond Ring lost on Kelowna Beach, Found & Returned to owner.

  • from Kelowna (British Columbia, Canada)

The distress call came in at noon,” I have lost my diamond ring, can you help me “My response was, I will be there in 30 minutes. Michelle was on vacation in Kelowna, from the lower mainland. The temperatures in Kelowna have been over the 35 degrees Celsius, they were at Gyro Beach, so a dip in the lake was in order. Michelle gave her wedding band and engagement ring to her mother for safekeeping, mother put them on a safety pin. When they arrived at the car only the wedding band was on the pin. I arrived and they showed me the part of the beach where they were sitting, hoping that the ring would be at that location. Talk about lucky within two minutes the ring was returned to the exited Michelle. My reward was the smile on her face, and the applause of all the people on the beach who all tried to find the ring.

I received an email about a lost mans tungsten wedding ring lost in the back yard. He was just taking out a piece of grass from his hot tub the tossing the blade of grass into the yard. He did not expecting that his wedding would follow suit into the high grass. After he scoured around everywhere for it, raking the grass, rented a metal detector and even the lawn company mowed the grass before I could get there. After searching the area for awhile, and located the utilites as I was searching. There was the ring half way down into the dirt. he was very happy to get the ring back.

Lost Woman’s White Gold Ring in Galion, OH. “FOUND”

  • from Newark (Ohio, United States)
Contact:

I received an email that a woman lost her white gold diamond ring. She was pulling out some poison ivy near some brushes and as she brushed back her hair, there also went the ring flying into the air and landing somewhere around the brushes. I met up with her later the same day to do the search. After looking in the brushes, leaves and grass there was the ring. She was very happy to have the ring back since she just received it from her daughter just a short time ago.

After talking more with her, she said that she received my information from her daughter. Come to fine out that this ring I found for her was also the ring that her daughter lost and I found for her back in March of this year. See link. http://theringfinders.com/blog/Jon.Baughman/2014/03/lost-woman-wedding-ring-delaware-found/

Lost 18K Gold Wedding Ring Recovered In Raleigh, N.C. at NCSU on 7/12/2014

Hello, here’s another ring recovery I made today.. Last night I received a call from a nice gentlemen named Brent who had lost his ring yesturday.. I received his call but had to call him back since I missed the call the first time.. When we spoke on the phone I asked Brent to give me some details about his ring and how he lost it.. He explained the he works at The University of North Carolina State In Raleigh, NC and had lost his ring out the third story window of his office.. Brent told me he was in his office at his desk when a Bee flew in his open window.. As he attempted to swat at the Bee with his hand, the ring slipped off his finger and flew out the window.. He then attempted to find his ring and even went and rented a metal detector but could not find it.. I met with him first thing today at his office and he walked me through how he lost it.. Anyway long story short, I started my search and since he still had his rented detector we decided to hunt together.. I showed him how to use the detector some he had rented and after alittle over a hour of searching and we covered just about everywhere the ring could have gone.. We still had not found it.. There was only three possible places left to check.. place one was the possibility that someone saw the ring and picked it up But Brent was certian that was not the case.. which leaves only two more, Either it got stuck in in the tree on a branch on the way down or it was in the thick bushes.. well we searched alittle more and as we was checking the bushes, my detector went of under the bush . when i crawled under the bush to check the signal out I yelled I see it.. The ring was finally found.. Brent was very happy to get his ring back as you can see from the look on his face.. It was my pleasure to assist him in locating the ring..goodys 028 goodys 027

Lost Platinum Wedding Ring Sugar Land, Texas (Recovered)

I received the following e-mail today after speaking with Dr. Shah last night regarding his lost wedding ring. Dr. Shah said he had lost his wedding ring the other day while playing soccer with several friends at a local park. Dr. Shan said he was playing goalie when he deflected a kick with his left hand and moments later discovered his wedding ring was missing. Dr. Shan said he and several of his friends spent time looking for his ring but were not able to locate it in the grass. We discussed trying to meet at the park today, but scheduling issue was not going to allow that to happen.

The plan was to use Google maps to pin point the location of the search area. I was familiar with the park having hunted it in the past to dial in new metal detectors and for general detector training. I was comfortable with the map plan, but I always like having the client on-site for a complete walk through.

Today’s e-mail

Go west on New Territory past 99.  Soccer fields come on the left.  We were playing on the very last soccer field before the woods (in this shot, it looks like a blank field).

Once you get to the field, I am almost positive I lost my ring in this fashion.   I was playing goalie and standing in the middle of where the red circle is.   My friend was standing at the X and shot a hard left footed shot.  The ball curved to my left.

I got my hands on it, but the speed of the shot bent my fingers back.  The ball deflected off the post to my left.   I shook my hands to get rid of the sting while going to my left to get the ball.  This is when I noticed I didn’t have the ring on.

Depending on the trajectory of how I lost the ring, it could be anywhere within or slightly outside the red circled area

I made it out to the park early this morning and used the provided Google Map to establish my

search area. I started with a Grid search in front of the goal and within just a few minutes hit a solid signal.

Dr. Shah was very acurate with his information which resulted in a fast and successful recovery.

Princess Engagement Ring Lost in Hermosa Beach, CA…Found and Happily Returned

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

P1020569 P1020568

Lesley called me this afternoon to ask if I would be able to help her find her engagement ring. She was at one of our local beaches which was about 30 minutes away. The problem was she had to board the bus for the long ride home in an hour. I threw my equipment in the truck and headed for the beach as quickly as I could. I was able to find parking close to the area she was in, and was at the site in about 35 minutes. After going over what had happened (putting on sunscreen, and taking the ring off to do so), I was able to estimate where the beauty was going to be. Within about 5 minutes, I was able to hand Lesley’s ring back to her. A great smile appeared, and when I looked around there were smiles everywhere. There was a whole group of young people that were aware of Lesley’s predicament, and when the ring was recovered all came around to express their joy as well. When all was finished Lesley still had about 15 minutes to get to the bus for her ride home. A lot of smiles today; what a great day!

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Lost Diamond Wedding Ring Crystal Beach, Texas (Recovered)

(Bolivar Peninsula-Galveston County)

07/05/2014

Received a call today from Jessie regarding his wives lost wedding ring at Crystal Beach on the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston County, Texas.

Jessie advised his family was vacationing on Crystal Beach, and his wife Courtney had lost her ring in the water on Crystal Beach.  Jessie said she was in about 4 foot of water when she lost the ring and they where pretty sure of its general location.

07/06/2014

Plans were made to meet early in the morning today to escape the remaining 4th of July traffic in and around Galveston. The trip down early was the right plan but the trip back not so much, seemed like everyone was leaving the island at exactly the same time, cost me several hours.

Sargassum Seaweed has been plaguing the Texas coast for most of the month making metal detecting a little less desirable, and extremely difficult at times.

I meet Jessie and his family this morning and we did a walk through of how and where the ring was lost. The seaweed and tide conditions had all changed since the previous day making the location a little more difficult for Courtney.

After about 30 minutes of searching with no success Jessie and Courtney came back out into the water and placed themselves as accurately as possible in the drop location. I worked a circle grid around them and on about the second loop hit a faint signal.

I personally think both Jessie and Courtney were starting to loose a little faith in the idea their ring would ever be found. Perhaps being back out in the water and seeing what was involved changed their expectations.

I pulled up that faint target, washed the sand from the basket, and saw what most people would think could never be found.
