… Steve called me for help finding his Platinum wedding band. Lost in the sand near the Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA. He said his friends were coming with a metal detector they purchased from a local sporting goods shop.
I told him that it would be more than an hour till I could meet him on the beach. It would be dark but, if they stayed in the location it shouldn’t take long to find his ring. I only asked if he found it before I got there, please call me. Otherwise I will be there as soon as possible. Los Angeles freeways are unpredictable when it comes to traffic delays.
I arrived at 8pm in the darkness. They showed me where Steve was standing when the ring slipped off his finger. Turn on my detector and take a few swings ,BINGO.. Platinum ring in my sand scoop.
Every one was happy and they all learned that it isn’t easy to work a metal detector they had purchased at the store.
If you lost something of value, I may be able to help you… Call ASAP Anytime.. Stan the Metal Detector Man .. 949-500-2136 .. I WILL TRY ANYWHERE

It was quite some time ago when Brittnee’s mom asked if I could find her daughter’s lost class ring. It was very sentimental to her as it had been bought for her by her now deceased grandmother. The only problem was that she gave me a very large search area on the beach – everywhere from up by the dunes playing volleyball to swimming all the way out to some sea wall rocks. I went and searched with no luck. Because it’s a beach where I detect frequently, I looked again. And again. And again ! It took me 18 months to get that smile, but persistence pays off !!

Late Saturday afternoon I got an urgent call from Tara’s husband stating his wife just lost her engagement ring while swimming in the water. Given the remnants of wind and waves produced by the passing tropical storm (Alex), a safe and effective search wasn’t immediately possible. Well, after about 3 hours of searching the following afternoon, the desired target was found, safely in the scoop…not a “silver ring” but an absolutely gorgeous 14k white gold diamond engagement ring, actually two rings combined into one. The story continues, the ring being on the finger it belongs. No coincidences in Gods kingdom, just appointments. Much to be thankful for 🙏🏻🎉👍🏻 Remember, it’s only lost until you call…Mark!!!
