Lost Men’s White Gold Wedding Ring – Corolla – Outer Banks, NC – Found

  • from New Smyrna Beach (Florida, United States)

I received a text from Brian at 5pm on Friday night.  He indicated that he had lost his ring on the beach, in the water, the previous Sunday.  His wife had been looking for someone to search for it and had just today found my information.  He was wondering if it would be worthwhile to look for it.  I told him that chances are slim due to some rough surf we had but I would try.

Brian and his wife were heading back home from their vacation, but he sent me a picture of the  home at the spot he had lost his ring.  As is my custom, I prayed before I began.  I started with a search parallel at the water continuing up to the dry sand.  Nothing!  then I did a vertical search of water to dry sand encompassing the house in the picture plus 50 yards on both sides.  Nothing.  Two hours had passed.

Just before I decide to give up, I prayed again and went to go middle of the house and a little bit deeper.  As I stood in about a foot of water, I saw sand and shells go by and then…a ring!  I put my coil on the ring to hold it just as another wave crashed in. (very rough surf due to the tropical storm off our coast). When the wave subsided…nothing!  I dug my scoop  the last place I saw the ring just as another wave crashed in.  I lifted the scoop up and found the ring!!

I texted Brian, “a miracle happened today!”  I sent him an image of the ring and said I hope it’s the right one.  He answered back, “Oh my gosh!!!  Yes that is it!!!

Update!!! Brian has his ring back! A man whom I’ve never met texted me and told me where he lost his ring six days prior…I found it!!! So happy to reunite Brian and his wife with their wedding bring

Dog-Gone Diamond Stud Earring Found! Union Grove, WI

  • from Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin, United States)

Melrose, Wisconsin resident Alisha Koxlien is usually delighted to be greeted by Louise, her beloved Miniature English Bull Terrier. But as bad luck would have it on Friday the 13th while showing Louise at the all-breed AKC dog show in Union Grove, near Racine, Wisconsin the exuberant Terrier accidently dislodged one of Alisha’s diamond stud earrings. It wasn’t clear if Louise swallowed it during the encounter, if it was in the grass by the kennels, or if the earring fell out on a subsequent half-mile walk.

I received a phone call from Alisha the next day. Her insurance company encouraged her to find someone with a metal detector who might search for the diamond stud. Subsequently, a friend of hers found me on https://theringfinders.com/ website and we arranged to meet at the Racine County Fairgrounds that evening.

Even for experienced detectorists, such tiny pieces of jewelry are extremely challenging to find. Many metal detectors and probes will not register a stud earring, especially if it is positioned vertically. It’s like trying to find a needle in the proverbial haystack.

I arrived on location, met Alisha and appraised the situation. Alisha showed me the matching earring and I used it to calibrate my equipment. The signal was just a whisper on my device. Being the area was a long-established public fairground, it was loaded with metallic debris (foil wrappers and aluminum pull tabs) which made the search all the more challenging since these targets easily overshadowed the earring’s faint hiss. For good measure we sat Louise down on her hind end and scanned her white belly up and down in case she had swallowed it. Louise was clear of any metallic objects inside her, but she sure loved the attention!

Working on my hands and knees, I began to systematically scan the grassy location where the dog encounter occurred. It was the thick crabgrass variety, the kind that hides stud earrings. After 40 minutes I had only covered about 120 square feet, the size of an average kitchen. It was painstaking. My headset was howling with trash signals and so I was mostly watching my controller closely for a razor-thin line on the non-ferrous side of its scale.

Suddenly, the image I was hoping for flashed across the screen, prompting investigation. I parted the grass with the precision of a barber and there, pressed into the ground, lay Alisha’s diamond stud earring! The smile on Alisha’s face tells the rest of the story! But you know, I also got the clear sense from Louise that she too, in her doggy way, was relieved!

BIG Diamond Ring Found in Va Beach!

  • from Virginia Beach (Virginia, United States)

I got a call about a lost platinum ring with a large diamond. It was lost at night close to high tide in the water. I knew low tide was coming up and it would probably be dry in that area when I arrived. My friend Gene was already down there and he helped me search for the ring. After 2 hours I got a hit in the range I thought it would be. BAM! The video will be on Gigmaster on youtube!

Ring toss recovery

Received a call to look for a ring in the back yard. Person had purchased a metal detector but was unable to locate the ring. I got there and most of the back yard had pavers, so I knew it couldn’t be there. I searched all the grass in his yard, nothing! I was informed that he heard it hit something. The neighbors garage was also close, so I checked the neighbors yard. No Luck. I had previously asked him to check the roof of his garage, so I knew it wasn’t there. I went back to the yard and very carefully LOOKED at the crevice between the sidewalk and the grass. BINGO! As a note, I have had several other hunts where the ring was in a crevice next to a sidewalk and always as a last spot to concentrate on is that space.

Lost Ring Found in Narragansett Rhode Island

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

I received a call from Dustin who was vacationing with his family in Narragansett.  While enjoying a day at the beach two days earlier, Dustin realized he had forgotten to take his wedding ring off, so he stashed it in their beach bag.  After returning from the beach, Dustin’s wife emptied the beach bag and shook out the sand in the backyard.  Later that day, Dustin asked his wife if she had his platinum wedding ring. This is when they realized that the ring was in the backyard or had fallen out at the beach. Dustin and his wife searched the grass but had no luck.  I searched the backyard and found the ring in about 10 minutes.  I held the ring up and asked them “how does it feel?”  They couldn’t believe the ring was found and how quickly. I’m so glad I was able to help this nice couple

Lost Engagement Ring found at Colt State Park Rhode Island

  • from Charlestown (Rhode Island, United States)
Contact:

I received a call on Tuesday, July 20th, from a nice couple, Francesca and Sharon.  They had only recently got engaged, and Sharon lost her engagement ring, a lovely antique ring, a few days earlier.  They were at Colt State Park for a day of fun.  While swimming, Sharon’s ring fell off in the water.  They searched for the ring for a few days but couldn’t find it.  That’s when they decided to look for help on the internet and found my profile on  TheRingFinders website, I went to the park the same day they contacted me, but I couldn’t get out far enough into the water as it was high tide.  I met Francesca at the park three days later when it was low tide to continue the search.  After two hours of searching, I located the ring.  Francesca was amazed that the ring was found after being in the ocean for five days. She couldn’t wait to put the engagement ring back on Sharon’s hand.

I got a phone call from a young man who told me he lost his wedding band in a lake at Whistler, he told me he was swiping at a mosquito and his ring flew into the bushes. It had been about a couple of weeks and he found me online and asked if I was willing to come up and find his ring.

Of course I was up for the challenge, it was about a 2 Hour Dr. each way and part of the drive I had to jump in his vehicle because the road was so bad going into the lake that it had to be a special vehicle with enough clearance to make the big dips and  bumps.

After arriving to this beautiful lake, Sunny showed me the direction that his ring had flown. I thought for sure this could take at least two hours, it was a very difficult search due to all the overgrowth, trees, branches and big rocks, I thought for sure I was in for a long search.

It was only a matter of minutes with a lot of luck that I found his ring, sometimes the ring gods are with us, today they were! I was so happy to get this ring back to Sunny and see his smile!

We go the extra mile to find your Smile!

Rose Gold wedding ring lost on West Wittering beach

  • from Kent (England, United Kingdom)

I had a call yesterday from Mike who lost his Rose Gold wedding band during a family outing on West Wittering beach in West Sussex earlier in the week , we agreed to meet at the beach very early this morning , Mike showed me the area they were sitting , helpfully he had photos of the area , within two minutes of turning on my ATMax detector I had my first target which read 49 on the meter and 1” deep ,  I moved the coil and the edge of a rose gold ring was exposed, I asked Mike if he had a photo of his wedding band , which he showed me on his phone , I then asked him if this his wedding ring , a quick check on the inscription inside confirmed it was indeed Mikes precious wedding band , another overjoyed person reunited with their very precious wedding band thanks to ringfinders .
