Success! A fisherman from Christchurch, Mr D  Atherton lost his gold wedding band ring one evening whilst fishing in Christchurch near Bournemouth, Dorset. He had spent three one hour visits searching to no avail.  As a last resort he checked the internet, found me on The Ring Finders and I came the next day.

I found the ring in no time and Mr Atherton made a very generous donation to the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance.securedownload

June 30th 2013 I received a phone call from a frantic Adrianna, telling me she lost her wedding ring at East Sooke Park while playing in the water with her children.

Adrianna also informed me that she had only been married for one month and this ring was everything to her.

I met with her Tuesday at noonish and began the search after three hours in and out of the water with no luck I made plans to return the next day early to catch the low tide.

The next day at 9:00 a.m. I started the search again and after two more hours bingo, found it.

I sent a text to Adrianna with a picture of her ring, she replied “No-way, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU, THANK-YOU!”

Lost Texas A&M College Ring Houston, Texas (Recovered)

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

06/30/2013

I was contacted by Chris a resident in Houston (North Houston) regarding his daughters lost Texas A&M College Ring (Aggies). Chris said he believes his grandson had picked up his daughters A&M ring and dropped it somewhere in his front yard. Chris said earlier in the day his grandson had grabbed the ring off of a counter in the house, and was seen playing with it, Chris said they took it away and placed in an area out of his reach. Well thats what they thought, they later discovered the ring was again missing. Chris said after throughly searching the house and not finding the ring, they knew the only other place it might be is in the front yard. Chris said his grandson had been in the front yard the day the ring went missing.

07/01/2103

I made trip up to north Houston, and met with Chris who outlined the areas he believed the ring might have been lost. Chris’ house was a corner lot, and when I arrived, I was thinking this is going to be a long hot day.

I used a little marking paint on Chris’s lawn to establish a search grid pattern and was preparing for an extensive search of his front and side lawn. I opted to start the search near his front door and hit the first foot of grass and “Hello” Texas A&M.

Must be my fastest recovery to date, nice when it all comes togehter.

Running the CTX 3030 on this call.

Lost Wedding Ring Sugar Land, Texas (Recovered)

  • from Sugar Land (Texas, United States)

Service Call  06/29/2013

I recieved the following email from a Sugar Land resident regarding a lost ring.

Hi John, I just read the story about  Richard Browne in Mass. who finds rings for people and he mentioned ringfinders.com.

I checked and to my surprise, I found you in Sugar Land, which is where I am.

My eldest son was in our pool 2 weeks ago splashing the dogs and he says his wedding ring flew off (he’s been married for two years).  I have a very old metal detector, and I am a rank amateur, but we tried to find it with no luck.  If it did fly off, then it’s in my back yard, but we just can’t find it. My wife and I go out in the yard looking for it  almost every day but we’ve found nothing.

So I am reaching out to you, to see if you can help us. At the worst I’d like to be able to tell my son it’s not there.

thanks and regards,
Mark Locascio

I made the short trip to Marks this morning with the new CTX3030 in hand. Mark pointed out the areas where he felt the ring might have flown of his son’s hand. I was initial a little apprehensive when Mark brought out his nice looking White Coin Master Metal Detector and explained he had already tried finding the ring. He said he had put another gold ring in the yard and was able to find it with no trouble.

That was a little bit of a sinking feeling 😉

I worked the same areas as Mark had previously described with his detector, and was not able to find the ring. I took a few minutes to think about the event that led up to the loss of the ring. I decided to work some a couple of flower beds well outside of the area identifed.

I opted for the hand and knees approach with my pin pointer on a flower bed that was riddled with metal distractions. The ring jump right out on my second sweep of the pinpointer.

Mark and his wife said they had given up all hopes that the ring would ever be found.

Wedding Rings Found – Silver Lake Park, WI

  • from Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin, United States)

P1060110 A Father’s Day boating excersion ended on a dissapointing note for Richard (Rik) Hopper and his wife. Her precious wedding rings slipped from her finger as they frolicked in the summer waters near Silver Lake Park in South-Eastern Wisconsin. I received Rik’s email appeal for help but was unable to schedule a search until today, June 24th.

Rik led the way as we waded out into the lake together–he had done a good job of noting reference points along the shore and had the search grid area narrowed down to the size of a tennis court or larger. A steady supply of pull tabs and bottle caps bore testimony to happier times at the location. But eventually the gleam of gold and diamonds emerged in my sieve which matched the photo on Rik’s cell phone.

“I wasn’t holding my breath.” Rick said. “I am amazed that you found it.” The smile on his face betrayed his joy and relief. Now his focus is turned to a happier task–how he will re-present the lost love token to his unsuspecting bride. [At time of writing she is unaware of Rik’s search arrangments with The Ring Finders and with myself. I can’t wait to hear the rest of this story!] Thanks, Rik, for the privilege of helping the story of your wife’s ring continue. Thanks too for your kind reward. P1060104

Ring that was a gift from her Mother lost in some bushes in Redmond, WA – Now found!

  • from Saint Paul (Minnesota, United States)

I received an email from Cristina who was walking on a raised wooden walkway while putting on her silver ring that her Mother gave her when the ring slipped out of her hand and fell in between the boards.  We searched through sticker bushes and muddy grass for about 45 minutes until it was found about 5 inches from a chained link fence.  It’s a beautiful ring and Cristina was very happy to have it back on her finger.

Mt Laurel NJ Lost Ring Found June 2013

  • from South Jersey (New Jersey, United States)
Contact:

I received a call from Sharon while I was at work on a 24 hour shift. She explained to me that she was catching some rays in her backyard and took off her wedding band and placed it on her towel. When she was done she got up and shook her towel, forgetting that she removed her ring.

When she discovered that it was missing she did a search of the yard with no luck. They had company over and they were all on their hands and knees searching. They even borrowed a family members metal detector with no luck.

She did an internet search and found me on Ring Finders and gave me a call. I explained that I was at work, but I could meet her the next day. She agreed.

The next day Sharon gave me a call while she was on her way home from work. I met her and her husband, Justin. They showed me the area that Sharon was sitting. I went to may truck and got my machine. It took 3 swings when I got a nice strong low tone. I bent down and moved the grass to reveal a platinum wedding band. Found with in less than a minute.

Sharon and Justin couldn’t believe that I found it so quickly. The smile on her face was priceless…

Below is her story:

Dave,
I can’t thank you enough for finding one of my most valuable possessions, my wedding ring.  I lost it because I let my vanity get the best of me- I took it off while getting some sun and soon thereafter dropped it in the grass.  I didn’t notice that it wasn’t on my finger until hours later but by then it was too late.  Neither me, my husband nor 3 other friends could find it after hours of searching.  We even borrowed a family member’s “really good” metal detector but soon learned that not all metal detectors are made equal.  Lucky for me, after searching online for metal detectors, I found your advertisement online under “Ring Finders.”  I had no idea someone like you was out there but can attest, your job is highly valued as you found my ring within a couple of minutes.  Unbelievable!  My husband and I are forever grateful.  Sharon and Justin.

I received a phone call Saturday from Mark, telling me the story of how he lost his matching wedding ring while feeding the horses. After getting a tour of the farm and all the possible places it could be, I arranged to return for the hunt.

Monday morning I loaded up my equipment and headed to Arbutus Ridge arriving at 10:00 a.m.
I hunted for four hours and no luck, so expanding the search I entered a corral and searched the area and the feed trough. Bingo the tone of Silver.

Mark and Sherry were so excited to get this matching wedding ring back
