Yesterday morning, Allison reached out to me in a panic about her lost ring from the previous night in Ocean City, NJ. Her beautiful gold Tiffany ring had slipped from her fingers and disappeared into the sandy beach as she was pulling out some clothing from her bag. Determined to help her, we met on the beach and I immediately began scanning the area with my metal detector. And then, just like that, a signal! With one swift scoop, I unearthed her precious ring. The look of relief and joy on Allison’s face was priceless. Another successful recovery mission in the books!

I received a call from Christina who lost her gold Tiffany earring yesterday while playing a game of baseball with her children on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey.  She wasn’t sure where it was lost, so I started with where her son drew home base in the sand. I put the coil down and heard the signal within a minute.  The first dig was the last dig in this quick recovery.

Grandpa’s Diamonds….

As Mike and his wife were settling into their new home, he was anxious to begin some projects. He started various tasks outside and was multi-tasking making a good dent in the to do list. He worked slow and steady with lots of breaks to think of the next big thing to tackle. Towards evening he noticed his ring was missing. A terrible feeling came over him as it just wasn’t a plain wedding band, but one that contained 3 diamonds from his wife’s late grandfather. These diamonds were added to his ring as a surprise for Mike and presented at their wedding ceremony. Trying to solve the issue and find the ring before his wife found out he came across a toy type metal detector that was propped up in the closet of a nearby pawn shop. More frustration followed when that detector’s signal sounded like the car alarm going off, drawing the wife’s attention.  Now with both knowing of the loss they decided to reach out for professional help. Grid searching parts of the front yard with my MXT metal detector gave no results so out back I went. Slowly closing in on available ground the detector signaled good metal. Reaching into the grass revealed his ring! The diamonds were exquisite, with tons of fire and sparkle. I texted Mike to come out back and he was totally shocked that the ring was found! Feeling that divine intervention helped find the ring, he looked to the sky with a smile a mile wide and said thank you grandfather, I know your smiling now…. like your granddaughter will be when she gets home!

New Love Recovery

  1. I was able to help a young lady recover her lost engagement ring.  Her US Army Fiance just returned from overseas and brought back with him a ring he bought in Romania.  She was going to make hamburger patties so she put the ring in her pocket, then was standing on the dock and pulled out her phone forgetting the ring.  The water was at my chin and fat guys float….ring was recovered after many submerging attempts

Bracelet recovered in Belmar, NJ

While home on a morning break I got a text from Jhoeth asking for help in finding their bracelet they lost the day before on Belmar beach. I had time before I had to go back to work and told him id go down to look. He sent me information on where he was. When I got there, there were people sitting in the spot and the were nice enough to move their chairs for me to search. I saw foot prints and a detector coil imprint in the sand and knew someone was there this morning hunting and hoped they didnt find it.I searched but no luck. Thinking it was gone already, I was going to give up but figured Id widen the area some and about 8 feet from where I was I got a nice signal and there was his bracelet in my scoop. I sent him the good new and told him if he could be at my job by 2 oclock he could meet me there. Well he got there at 3 and I was already driving, so I called my supervisor and he was able to get the bracelet out of my car and return it to him. Didnt get a picture of him and the return but he texted me telling me how grateful he was. A happy ending for all.

Wildwood, NJ – On a sunny afternoon, Pablo lost his wedding band when he shook out his beach towel and watched as his wedding band slipped off his finger and disappeared into the sand. He reached out to me the following day for help in retrieving his ring. With a detailed description of his location on the beach in hand, I set out to search for the ring. Upon arrival, I carefully surveyed the area, mentally marking the boundaries to ensure a methodical approach. Equipped with my metal detector, I began to sweep across the marked zone. It wasn’t long before the detector’s beeping signaled a find. The wedding band was pulled from the sand! The ring was returned!

2023 Augusta University (AU) Class Ring Lost, Found and Returned Myrtle Beach SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

This adventure started while I was in the process of finding three lost rings in the dry sand on May 30th in Myrtle Beach SC.  While looking for the three rings, I got a great high signal in the dry sand. Thinking I had one of the three rings I dug it up. To my surprise it was a beautiful 2023 Augusta University Class Ring. I knew it wasn’t one of the three, but I showed it to the parents of the owner of the three rings. They verified that it was not one of the three I was looking for. Shortly after finding the class ring, I found the three rings I was looking for and returned them to the parents.

Now comes the hard part in trying to find the owner. My wife is a huge help proofreading my stories and fixing my pictures, she’s also a wizard on social media. I sent her the name engraved inside the class ring and before I got home, she texted me the probable owner she found on LinkedIn. Neither Face Book nor Instagram had any matches. I attempted to send the owner, Sean a text but LinkedIn requires you be a member to communicate with someone. I finally contacted Augusta University, Registrar’s office and talked with a very nice lady, Katie. Katie said if I would e-mail the Registrar office, they would forward the e-mail to Sean’s last known contact information they had on file. I sent the e-mail and waited. After three days I called Katie back and she said my e-mail hadn’t come through. So, I sent a 2nd e-mail making sure I spelled Registrar correctly, left off an ‘r’ the first time. Called Katie back and she said it came through and she just forwarded it on to Sean as well as called and left a message. Fast forward two days to June 7th, I woke up to a text message saying “Hi Jim Wren! This is Sean; I heard you found my ring? Thank you so much for contacting the registrar’s office.” I asked him to verify the two engravings he had in the ring and Bingo, he nailed it, so I knew I had the right guy. I got his address in Oklahoma and his ring was heading home.

Today, June 11th, I received a text from Sean with the picture of him holding his ring. He also told me the back story of how he lost his ring. He said that he and his friends were playing games at Myrtle Beach and when they headed back to their hotel during the evening, he realized his class ring was gone! He said, “I put it by his shirt and when we were packing everything up and heading back it must have slipped out. The entire group of friends combed the entire 100-foot area where their tent was set up on the beach but to no avail.”

Sean – So glad I was able to track you down and get your treasure back where it belongs. I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors.

Jim

Diamond Engagement Ring Thrown Across a Street in Lake Elsinore, CA After an Argument – FOUND!!

  • from Corona (California, United States)

I received a call from Eddie, asking if I could help find his girlfriend’s diamond engagement ring that was lost a week ago. He proceeded to tell me that he had the ring at work after they had gotten into a huge argument. He had been drinking after work, and in a fit of rage, threw the ring from the parking lot across a 2 lane street. On the far side of the street was a sandy drainage ditch.
Eddie said he and his co-workers later searched several days for the ring with no luck. He bought a metal detector and still had no luck because he didn’t know how to properly use it. That’s when he found me on The Ringfinders website.

He showed me the approximate 30 yard wide area across the street that he felt it would have landed and said that he had to leave to pick up his son. So I began my search, starting at the edge of the drainage ditch next to the road. There were large rocks along the embankment for runoff. With no luck, I started checking the sandy bottom. Within about 15 minutes I found it below the opposite embankment of the ditch.

I took a close-up picture of the ring and was about to send it in a message to Eddie when, at the same time, his boss came out asking if I had found it. I told him I had and he immediately called Eddie. You could hear Eddie yelling with excitement.

Another good day!

Rose Gold Diamond Wedding Ring Lost at Softball Game…Found by Ring Finder Brian Rudolph in Vienna, Virginia

Emily’s rose gold and multiple diamond wedding ring which nests with Emily’s rose gold and diamond engagement ring that metal detectorist Brian Rudolph had found prior to recovering the wedding band

Emily’s father-in-law excitedly holds up her once lost rose gold and diamond wedding band which ring finder Brian Rudolph found after recovering Emily’s irreplaceable engagement ring

(PART 2 – The search continues for Emily’s lost rose gold and diamond wedding ring!)

After successfully finding Emily’s lost engagement ring, it was time to look for the wedding band. I searched all over that particular area where the blanket had been picked up but there was no more rose gold to be found at that time. Emily called her friend to ask her where she walked up a particular hill when they left towards the parking lot after the game. The idea was that there was a good chance that the ring stayed in the blanket and then fell somewhere on the hill as the young lady had made her way towards the asphalt.

I grid searched the entire rest of the area including the hill and unfortunately I did not find the wedding band. That’s when Steve contacted Emily’s girlfriend one more time and asked again for more detail. She remembered folding up the blanket which then gave us a good indication that the ring would have had to fall out of the blanket prior to walking towards the parking lot!

I immediately returned to the earlier search site down where I found the engagement ring. This time, I did a perpendicular grid search to see if maybe the ring had landed on an angle down in the grass which prevented me from getting a good signal earlier from the opposite direction. As it turned out, I indeed found Emily’s very special rose gold wedding band! It had not been very far from where the other ring was all that time! By doing the perpendicular grid, I hit that ring perfectly and the signal could not have been more obvious! Steve and I were so excited for Emily! We called her up on FaceTime and surprised her just moments after I successfully recovered the lost jewel from beneath the thick blades of grass! My client was thrilled at the news and relieved as well as at the sight of seeing her MIA gold and diamond filled wedding band that had been lost for three days in a very public environment! Even the grass had been cut earlier that day which could have potentially destroyed the irreplaceable jewelry!

In the end, both the engagement ring and the wedding band were successfully recovered! As a ring finder, there’s no greater feeling than helping people like Emily and Tyler! I am so glad that I talked Emily out of giving up and filing an insurance claim! Because of my passion for finding lost sentimental keepsakes, I was able to save yet another set of irreplaceable symbols of love that no insurance company could ever replicate!

Lost Diamond Engagement Ring During Softball Game…Found by Brian Rudolph in Vienna, Virginia

  • from Washington (District of Columbia, United States)

Emily’s rose gold 1 carat diamond engagement ring which almost was lost forever had it not been for THE RING HERO Brian Rudolph.

Emily happily shares her beloved rose gold and multiple diamond engagement ring which ring finder Brian Rudolph found near the softball field backstop where Emily had been sitting.

Brian Rudolph, Lost Item Recovery Specialist (Land, Water, Sand, Snow, Leaves, Cliffs, Houses & Vehicles) Will Find Your Lost Keepsake! Call ASAP (301) 466-8644!

Emily called me in a state of panic because she had lost her two most important personal material possessions: her rose gold 1 carat diamond engagement ring with multiple diamonds surrounding the center stone and all around the band along with her rose gold wedding band with multiple diamonds which nests together with the engagement ring.

Emily shared with me that she had searched for several days looking for her two most important material possessions in the world but all of her efforts led to no avail. The two main areas she looked was at home (where she applied lotion to her child) and along side the softball field where she watched her daughter play her game.

My client did all of the right things but still came up way short of finding the rings. She looked all around the house and nothing was found. She then got a metal detector from a friend and scanned all of the areas where she had been sitting, walking around and taking photos with her phone. Still nothing. She gave the metal detector to several other people and they also could not recover her precious jewelry.

Finally, Emily heard about THE RING FINDERS from somebody on a community forum and immediately reached out to me. I asked her all the questions that I needed answers to in order for me to assess the situation. We then agreed to meet out by the softball field early that evening.

While I drove to the search site to meet up with Emily and her father-in-law, I received a call from my client expressing second thoughts about attempting a recovery of the rings. I asked her why and she shared that after talking with her husband, he suggested that they let go of the search idea and just file an insurance claim. I told Emily that I didn’t understand the reasoning because there was no risk on their part other than my travel fee. And if I did find the rings they would remit the reward value indicated on a form which I had Emily fill out in advance of the search. An amount that we ring finders ask to be fair and reasonable.

I reminded Emily that these were her very rings that her husband Tyler placed on her finger at the moment that she was proposed to and during the wedding ceremony when Emily said, “I do”. I asked, “Why would you not try one more time by hiring a professional ring finder like myself to see if those rings were still there or never there in the first place?” After some more dialogue back and forth between us, Emily decided to move forward with the search!

When we met up at the softball field, Emily introduced me to her father-in-law Steve (who was also unsuccessful metal detecting the grassy areas) and she showed me all of the places where she had been during her daughter’s game. I then got busy by laying grid lines down on the grass right next to the softball field and then began my metal detecting project.

Even though there was a lot of metal that was scattered about on the surface and below the dirt, I am excited to share that I recovered Emily’s beautiful rose gold and diamond filled engagement ring! I found it in the location where she had been sitting on a blanket and had applied sunscreen to her little one during the game. When the game was over, her friend picked up the blanket (not knowing that Emily forgot to put her rings back on) and the irreplaceable keepsake ended up lost in the grass!

Emily and Steve were so very happy to see that amazing looking rose gold and diamond treasure back on Emily’s finger! She was so grateful for my work and my client was beyond happy that she had ultimately decided to listen to my plea to not cancel the search but to allow me to metal detect the area just to make certain of whether or not it was there or not! Yes, she was very grateful that I lobbied hard to convince Emily to keep with the vision in having me help her find her so very special rings! Indeed, my client truly made the right choice in the end and her husband Tyler was also glad that his wife didn’t listen to his advice to “abandon ship”!

Emily had to leave the school yard to take her husband on a birthday getaway. So Steve stayed with me and I continued to search for the missing rose gold and diamond wedding ring.

(This concludes PART 1 of the search. Stay tuned for the conclusion of this wonderful ring search story!)
