Car Keys Found In Snow Bank

It’s that time of year again, I have many calls for lost keys in the drive way after shoveling snow or cleaning the vehicle off. Fortunately, this gentleman’s key fobs didn’t take to long to find!

Just as my wife and I pulled into our favorite taco place on Friday, my phone buzzed. It was Diago. His voice was somewhat desperate—he’d lost his girlfriend’s engagement ring, and he needed help. He and some friends tried to locate it but it was hopeless.
We’d barely parked, the restaurant still minutes from reopening at 5, but I knew the sun was slipping fast thanks to the time change. So, we left. As we did, I prayed for God’s favor.
I met Diago at a roadside bar & grille. He pointed out exact the spot where the ring had flown from his hand. It vanished into a patch of tangled grass—short blades, long tufts, and a gloomy drainage ditch. His fiancée, he said, had been in tears.
I fired up my Minelab Manticore, and instantly the machine chattered incessantly – bottle caps, pull tabs, scraps of who-knows-what. I adjusted my settings, grabbed my pinpointer, and pushed into the grass as daylight drained away.
As darkness enveloped us, I swept every inch of the suspected area, the detector humming, my hopes slipping with the sun. Eventually, I had to turn to Diago and tell him the last thing he wanted to hear: I’d be back at sunrise.
Praying again, I arrived before dawn the next morning. The grass heavy with dew. I started scanning in a slow grid, determined not to miss a thing. Then—a clean, bright tone!
I dropped to my knees, brushed aside a patch of grass, and there it was: a beautiful gold ring nestled so perfectly in the blades that anyone without a detector would’ve walked past it a hundred times. God is good!
Later that day I placed the ring back into the hands of an overjoyed couple.

Zack could not find his wedding ring and tried looking with a rented metal detector and still come up empty handed. He was 99% sure he lost it in his yard somewhere while doing yard work earlier that day. He had planted some small ornamental bushes and laid down new mulch and even had about 10 medium bags of left over dirt that he wanted to dispose of later but the thought of his ring being out in his yard somewhere made him quite anxious. Later that evening Zack went online and found theringfinders.com and gave me a call. I met him the next day and decided to start my search exactly where he started working the day before. His yard and newly planted bushes were neat and tidy and as I moved on to the 2nd area I noticed he had laid out the bags of extra dirt on the brick driveway so I decided to scan them. Each bag was tied up and on the last bag I got a faint signal. I flipped the bag over and immediately got a solid gold like signal and it was only a matter of sticking my pin pointer into the dirt and the picture shows what was hidden inside. Zack was thrilled and could not believe what just happened.

This ring find began back on Sunday November 2nd while I was hunting for a sentimental ring in Nai’a Lagoon when a young lady approached me and said her Father, Behzad had lost his White Gold Wedding Band in just over neck deep water near where I was hunting. I told her I could find it but would have to return on scuba at a later date when the water was clear and calm. It was pretty stirred up at that moment. The young lady’s Mother Mitra came down to the beach to help me narrow down the search area for the dive. I was finally able to get in the water on scuba Saturday, November 8th. I started my dive grid with my orange rope early in the morning but so many people were walking around and messing up my grid line snagging on the rope. I decided to retrieve my grid line and start a parallel to shore search using the sand waves as guides. On my first double back I got a booming hit on the Excalibur and after a few hand waves of the sand Behzad’s big White Gold Wedding Band exposed itself. Thank you, Jesus! I texted a picture of the ring back to Mitra in Lafayette, California and she responded, “OMG thank you so much” Behzad received the ring and sent me a picture of his hand wearing the ring with Shaka Emojis. Aloha to Behzad & Mitra!
I received a call from Kyrylo while I was at hockey game asking if I would be able to help him locate the wedding ring. That flew off his hand while on roof in Moosomin, the ring fell from his hand rolling of the roof into tall grass. After some searching for a while and several false signals account of the area was trashy and tin siding on the building caused some interference. The ring was found; he was very excited that I found the ring
Thank you, Kyrylo, for entrusting me to find your Wedding ring.

I got a text from Nicole on Nov. 12th at about 4PM. She said her husband, Roy, was working at a home in Nashville today when he lost his white gold wedding band in the front yard. Nicole explained that the front yard was huge, however the area where Roy thought he lost his ring was confined to a much smaller area. She said Roy had already rented a metal detector and looked for his ring for several hours, along with his brother and the owner of the property. With sunset at 4:45PM tonight Nicole was worried about it being too dark for me to search for the ring. No worries I told her, telling her that I am well equipped for nighttime searches in the dark.
I arrived at the large estate in the Green Hills area of Nashville and met with Roy. After be showed me the areas of the front yard where he had been working, I fired up my metal detector, started a stopwatch and began a grid search. Just before the thirteen minute mark I located Roy’s ring in some wood chips adjacent to the concrete front porch to the residence. This was the first ring recovery for me where I actually saw the ring with my eyes before swinging the metal detector coil over it. It is Fall, so it’s quite possible that the ring had been concealed by fallen leaves and by the time I arrived they were blown away by the cool Fall breeze.
What’s important is that Roy was reunited with his wedding ring. He said he would have lost a lot of sleep if it wasn’t found. Roy thanked me and said now he will be able to pass his ring on to his son one day.

Nov. 7th I got a call from Sue in Franklin, TN after she found me on The RingFinder directory. She said her husband, Howard, just lost his white gold wedding band while doing some work in the front yard. A pretty severe storm was heading towards Middle TN with even a chance of lightning, so it was decided that I would conduct the ring search on Sunday.
Even though Howard and Sue were a few hours away from their home, Howard gave me his address and described the areas where he thought he may have lost his ring. I arrived at Howard and Sue’s property at about 2:00 P.M. I fired up my XP Deus 2 metal detector and started a grid search. About ten minutes later I got the signal I was hoping for. The beautiful gold ring was actually buried in some mud, presumably from being stepped on after it was lost. I cleaned it up so I could surprise Howard when he and Sue arrived back at their house.
Howard said he had worn his wedding ring every day for over forty years, and the thought of losing it forever was unthinkable.

On Saturday Tori decided her German Shepherd needed a bath. As she finished she noticed her wedding rings were gone. She immediately started backtracking. Did it come off while using the hose or the blower drying her dog? With no luck finding her rings her husband bought a metal detector on his way home from work. He read the instructions and watched a few YouTube videos. They both search until midnight with no luck. Tori decided to try a search online and came across The Ring Finders website and texted me. Just so happens I was off and with in one hour of receiving her text I was headed to try and find her rings. After arriving we spent a few minutes going over where the washing took place. To our surprise I found her rings in less then fifteen minutes. A day with so much anxiety ended on a high note.
Sunday morning assignment:
10:22am I received the following message…
“I located your information through Ring Finders and would like your help in locating my husband’s titanium wedding band. It slipped off of his finger into our yard yesterday and we have been looking to no avail. We live In Yadkinville and hope that you are able to help us find his ring.”11:32am I spoke with Sue whom was able to provide detailed information that her husband had worked in the yard on Saturday, ending by washing his hands beside their home. He shook his hands to dry them and immediately realized his wedding band slipped off. Sue said they searched and raked the immediate area until after dark with negative results. Recently moving to North Carolina she advised they had a trip planned to visit the Baltimore Estate and that her husband had said he feels naked as he has not been without his wedding band since they married. In hopes to find a solution she searched the internet for “how to find ring” and discovered The Ring Finders website and contacted me being her closest resource. I let her know I was in the next county and would be glad to assist them and would arrive after lunch.
2:00pm I texted Sue and let her know I was en-route and would arrive in 15 minutes.
2:18pm arrived and met with Sue and husband whom escorted me to the location of the loss. They walked through the series of events including how he was standing when shaking his hands and the direction of the thud sound. I retrieved my equipment and began a scan of the area. The area did have many iron signals however I located the ring within a few minutes. Recovered only 4-5 feet from where he was standing and immediately in the area they searched previously.
The smiles on both of their faces cannot be described other than to say they mirrored those of my grandchildren at Christmas. Thank you Sue for allowing me the opportunity to assist you and your husband.
If you the readers of this message ever lose something of value, contact a member of The Ring Finders, we will be glad to assist you recover your lost treasure.
