Ring lost at Pacific Beach found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Elise was enjoying Labor Day at the beach, but, after rubbing some lotion on her hands, her precious gold ring given to her by her sister, slipped right off and into the soft sand, turning the sweet day suddenly sour. The next day after an online search brought her to TheRingFinders.com, she contacted me for help. Even though our local beaches get swarmed by detectorists on a holiday weekend like this, it was still worth a try, so, I got all the particulars and agreed to meet her at the location. Elise sent me a photo of the ring showing that it wasn’t an actual ring in shape, but, a horseshoe shape. Knowing that now, the I.D. number would be impossible to predict, but, probably a lot lower than if it were a complete circle. I started my grid and scooped anything that wasn’t iron. After a bunch of gum wrappers reading 1-4 on my Equinox 900, a few other bits of foil, a couple of coins, I get another sketchy 2-3 reading. Probably another gum wrapper, but, surprise, surprise, it was her ring. A happy Elise can now go home and relax now that the lost has been found. A pleasure to meet you Elise, and thank you for the reward.

LOST PLATINUM 4CT DIAMOND WEDDING RING in BLACKSTONE, VA…… FOUND

  • from Raleigh (North Carolina, United States)
I received a text at 7:30 this morning from a lady that was heartbroken she had lost her wedding ring set in the grass. She couldn’t believe she couldn’t just see it in the grass. It’s platinum two rings soldered together with a big 4ct diamond!!
She had reached out to other people and couldn’t get anyone to respond or commit. She even borrowed a metal detector and tried finding it herself with no luck. She was up all night long on her hands and knees pulling grass and racking the grass trying to find it. I get there at about 12:30 and she was still searching for it!
I drove 2 hours and 15 mins, get out and talk to her for a few mins and get set up and begin. 20 secs or less later 1st signal and BOOM, I get a solid hit! I move the grass back and I can see the ring! I tell her I found it and I snap a quick photo in the grass then on the stairs and hand her, her ring!
She was so happy and relieved to have it back!
The feeling of finding and returning something like this ring NEVER gets old!

I received a call about a lost gold man’s wedding ring while he was playing with water balloons on a hot summer day with the family. We was able to setup a day and time to perform a search. Wedding Band Lost on Band Practice Field…FOUND by Ring Finder in Madison, AL!

  • from Huntsville (Alabama, United States)

Christina McCree – Ring Finder/Metal Detectorist for northern Alabama and southern/middle Tennessee…call or text ASAP, anytime 24/7…610-504-6135

Friday at noon (September 1, 2023), I received a text message from Leigh stating she had lost her wedding band while painting lines on a band practice field at a local High School in Madison, Alabama.  She had gotten paint on her ring, so she took it off and put it in her pants pocket.  When she finished and had gotten back to her car, the ring was no longer in her pocket.  I was off from work, so I was able to head there shortly after Leigh’s text message.

Leigh had told me that she thought it would be around the 50-yard line.  I started my search there with my Minelab Equinox 800 with the 15-inch coil.  I searched all the painted lines, but did not find her ring.  I went back to the 50-yard line and expanded my search.  Soon after, I had found Leigh’s ring!  It had rolled to the middle of the field between the 50 and the 40-yard lines.  Leigh texted that she had just finished teaching her class and was on her way down.  When she got there, she asked if I had any luck.  I opened up my hand and said, “is this it?”  It was and she was so happy to see it!  She thanked me numerous times.  She told me that on Sunday it would be her 1-year anniversary.  Happy anniversary!!!

Another successful recovery, and I give all praise and glory to God!  I’m always happy to help and I’m really blessed being able to go on these searches and help others!  Looking forward to the next adventure…

Lost Gold Man’s Wedding Ring in Pataskala, OH. “FOUND”

I received an email in January 2023 about a lost gold man’s wedding ring that was lost on his property in November 2021. He was simply playing with his dog and bouncing a tennis ball off the driveway and the next moment the ring flew off into the weeds. He search and search with no luck. Since living in Ohio and having cold weather in January, we opted to wait until warmer weather to perform a good thorough search. I started the search on one side of the driveway, searching through the leaves, sticks, ivy vine, and small plants with no luck with all awhile getting many hits of normal household yard trash. I continued to the other side of the driveway searching and searching. Then got a hit, I pulled back the leaves, ivy vines and there was the ring. He was very happy to have the ring returned to him after 22 months of being gone.

Ring lost at Pacific Beach found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Joey was in town visiting from up in Napa, Ca. back in early July, and lost his 18K gold and 950 platinum wedding ring in the shallow surf at Pacific beach. I got the call a couple of days later and met him at the location. I gridded the entire area and then some, but, came up empty. I figured that someone else may have found it in the meantime as it’s a popular area to detect. I told Joey that I would keep it on my list and would check with fellow club members and others I know who detect that beach to see if they may have found it. Fast forward to the middle of August, and my friend Rick contacts me and says he may have found the ring I was looking for. We compared notes on the ring details, and it sure looked like a match, but, I went ahead and contacted Joey to get more info from him. Everything seemed to match, so, success! It turned out that Joey had some friends that were coming down to San Diego  and could pick up the ring instead of having to ship it. It just goes to show you that you should never give up, as a ring can turn up anytime in the future when the conditions are right. The ring is on it’s way home where it belongs. A big thank you to Rick for giving up such a nice ring, and thank you Joey for rewarding him.

Ring lost at Mission Beach found

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

Anais and family were visiting here from Spain and spent the day at the beach. Anais decided to try a bit of surfing, and left her wedding and engagement ring with a family member while she went into the water. Unfortunately, when she went to reclaim her rings, one of them was missing. All manner of searching came up empty and a call for help came to me after they searched online for a solution. Knowing the location, I wanted to get right on that search before someone else happened onto the ring. We agreed to meet at 11pm on the boardwalk close to the search area. Even though it had only been a few hours since the loss, the beach always looks different at night vs the day. Landmarks such as tents, cones, sand castles, etc. can disappear or be moved, so, it took a few minutes to get oriented and zero in on the spot. Once there, with their best guess as to where the X should be, I started a grid. After five minutes and only a couple of junk signals, I got a nice solid 28 on my Equinox 900. That sounded so good and I said that this is  likely it! Yup, after filtering out the sand and dead sea grass out of the scoop, A beautiful engagement ring was sparkling under my headlamp beam. I handed the ring to an emotional Anais who teared up, hugged me. and then cried with joy in her husband’s arms. A pleasure to meet you both, have a good resumption of your trip, and thank you for the reward.

Lost Wedding Band Found Ocean City NJ by Ring Finders South Jersey John Favano

  • from North Wildwood (New Jersey, United States)

Just a day before, Rhett and Meredith were married. Family members from different corners of the country gathered to witness their beautiful ceremony. The day after the wedding, they decided to visit Ocean City, NJ, where some relatives and friends were staying in order to spend quality time with them. Both Rhett and Meredith wore distinctive wedding bands – Rhett wore his late father’s wedding band that was hand-made by his mother.

While playing in the ocean with his nieces and nephews, Rhett suddenly realized that his wedding ring had slipped off his finger and vanished beneath the waves. Distressed, he called me later that night, and we decided to meet at the beach the next day around low-tide in hopes of finding the lost ring. I gathered more details about where the ring might be and initiated my search. I started in waist-deep water and worked my way toward the shoreline. In just about ankle-deep water, the metal detector let out a sharp sound. I scooped up a handful of sand and there it was, the family heirloom! Recovered!

Rhett was overjoyed and relieved as he gave me a hug. The ring held immeasurable sentimental value for him. It will now be able to be honored and cherished for years to come.
