Lost Tiffany Diamond Ear Ring Skydiving

We got call from Faith, she said she was Skydiving for the first time.  Once she landed in the field she was taking off her Goggles and felt her brand NEW (only had them 24 hours/10yr anniversary gift) Gold & Diamond Ear Ring flew off.  She immediately dropped to her knees with her parachute still attached and started looking for her ear ring.   Her partner and all of the staff at the Sky Diving Club searched and searched but with no luck.  They bought a metal detector NO Luck, the had someone come out with a better Metal Dectector- NO Luck.  Someone suggested she better hire a Pro, so she called “The Dallas Ringfinders”.

We got the call 1 week after the loss, we scheduled to come out after church on Sunday and met the couple and all 7 of the staff of the Sky Diving Club, everyone there had been searching for the Ear Ring.  Great thing was the staff had put out a orange cone at the landing location where Faith had landed.  Ellen & I got our Garrett AT Pro Metal Detectors and  our Garrett Water Proof Pinpointers and began our search… it only took a minute.  I got a solid 45 gold signal at less than 2 inches deep.  I checked the site with my Pinpointer but go No signal, I then cleared the dried grass with my foot and scanned again,  still getting the 45 Gold signal indicator.  I then bent down and slowly and carefully scanned the area with my pinpointer and got a hit on the edge of the thick grass I had cleared.. still seeing nothing I use my hand to slowly clear the grass and then I saw the “Glint”.  What fun to return a beautiful ear ring..

Lost Aggie Ring to the Yellow Duckies

What a fun search, we got a call from a retired Fire Chief in Lewisville, Texas.  He was helping out with a community Fundraiser where they pushed 40,000 Yellow Duckies off the falls and each duck had a value, they raised over $200,000 but our Aggie while pushing the final Duckies off the falls his Aggie Ring flew off into the pond.
He was very distraught over loosing his ring and tried to rent a Metal Detector but not knowing how to use it was a challenge, he actually was talking to the Fire Department Rescue Scuba Divers about trying to find it for him when he found “The Ring Finders” and called us.

Ellen and I met him on Tuesday morning and found his ring, I love what we do….

Lost wedding ring in RV Park

While traveling back home from Arkansas over the weekend I had encountered a big mishap at our stop over outside of St Louis on Saturday night.

We had just parked the trailer and were walking the dogs when Penny’s leash caught my wedding rings just right and they went FLYING… Into the middle of a field of very thick, tall grass. Of course it was dark, why wouldn’t it be!! I didn’t move from my spot while Joe took the dogs back and grabbed flashlights. We searched for about 2 hours. We started weighing our options. Joe jumped on Reddit reaching out to see if he could find anyone willing to bring a metal detector for us. He stumbled upon a website called theringfinders.com

Luckily Jeremy Roth – The RingFinder’s responded right away and offered to come out early the very next morning so we wouldn’t have any delays in our travels. With his help I was able to recover my rings. And let me tell you, we weren’t even close to looking at where it had landed. The physics still isn’t adding up to me but what a relief!!! I’m forever grateful for Jeremy.

Lost Wedding Band returned to Owner who is in Hospice

    Today we drove 3 hours to find a gentleman’s Wedding Ring he lost gardening 6-8 months ago.  Today unfortunately his health has driven him into a Hospice situation.  His wife and adult children really wanted to have the ring found before he passes.   When his wife answered the door she broke down crying, “just knowing we were there to search for the ring”,  it was literally 100 degrees.  We began our search through the sticky blueberry bushes and all over the 3 acres.  The wife came out to speak with us, as Ellen was speaking to her, I continued to search.  And praise God not 10 feet from where she was standing I got a Gold Signal.  I reached down and got a really big smile on my face knowing  I had just found the ring.  The lady nearly jumped into my arms when we showed what we had found.  We so love what we get to do. Back where it belongs

I received a call from a party that mentioned that he and his wife had taken their rings off to not loose them when they were going into a lake swimming.  The rings were put into the pocket of a swim suit.  Later after coming out of the water both, his and her rings were missing. These folk where in Minnesota staying at a vacation rental on a lake about 65 miles north of St. Paul. They went home back to Milwaukee totally heartbroken. They had no idea how to find the rings and contemplated buying a metal detector and driving back to find the rings. Following doing some research they came across the ring finders web site and found my name. They called and were quite surprised that there was people that look for lost rings on the internet.  They were even more surprised to find someone that could go up and look for the rings and they did not have to go back to Minnesota to recover their rings.

There was another group on the property and we had to wait.until they left before searching. But eventually the property was vacated and I went in and searched for the rings. It took about 3 hours and many signals that you find in lakes. Bottle caps, fishing lures and weights, old beer cans and old bait cans. But I finally got a hit that was strong and clean. I knew it was a ring before scooping it up. Yes, it was his ring. I found one of the two missing rings.  I continued to search really hitting the area that I found the one hoping that they fell out together. But no luck. So I finished up out in the water and swept the yard and again came up empty.  While it was not the perfect outcome, I can always go back and try again and see if I can get lucky one more time.  Congratulations  on getting 1 of 2 back.

97-year-old heirloom 10kt Victorian darling baby ring recovered and returned! TRF Celina, OH

97-year-old heirloom 10 karat Victorian darling baby ring recovered and returned! A small ring makes a big hit for the day.
Tough little ring to locate at just 3 mm wide for the band and approximately a size 1.
     Scott, Alicia, and their little family made the almost 4-hour drive back to Alicia’s hometown to visit family. While spending time with family at a local State Park, Alicia was presented with her grandmother’s 97-year-old Victorian Darling Infant Ring as a keepsake for her daughter Noelle, named after her Great-Grandmother. The 10kt. ring was placed on the baby’s finger and photos were taken. The ring was too large for Noelle’s tiny finger and fell off. Alicia and her older children hunted the grassy area where they thought the ring had fallen and weren’t able to locate the ring.
     Alicia was in my wife’s Girl Scout Troop years ago and she has seen posts on my wife’s Facebook Page about my ring returns. A distraught Alicia contacted my wife to see if I was able to come out to the park and find the ring. I grabbed my Manticore, pin pointer, and other gear and we went to the State Park to see if I could locate the ring. Alicia was able to show me the roughly 20 x 20′ area where the ring had fallen. After swinging for about 45 minutes, I was able to find the tiny little treasure and hand it back to the very relieved mother!  Very small ring to locate at just 3 mm wide for the band and approximately a size 1.

Emerald Isle, NC, Lost Wedding Band Found by Crystal Coast Ring Finders

Bady had placed his wedding band in the beach chair before heading into the water.  I didn’t want to start an argument but, it seems either he or his wife folded up the chair and headed back the the beach house before realizing the ring was lost.  Bady’s father-in-law called me to request my service after getting a referral from a town official.  As I was on the phone gathering details, Bady’s wife was out searching for the ring and also was given my contact information from a person on the beach and she called too.  After I realized both numbers were from the same state outside of NC, I realized it may be about the same lost ring.  We had a laugh as I headed to their location and told them to rest assured I would indeed find the lost ring.  It wasn’t near any public parking area and not in an area other detectorist would visit on a regular basis.  After being fooled by a bottlecap, my 2nd loud signal was Bady’s lost ring.  It was very helpful they marked the area in the sand with a shovel and outlined the area they were sure it must be inside for me to find.  It was a good feeling and I enjoyed talking to Bady’s father-in-law upon our return.

Lost Platinum Wedding Band Found At Dewey Beach, Delaware

On 06/19/2024, I was contacted by Xiao-Lan about her Platinum Wedding Band that had been lost in the sand on the beach in Dewey Beach, Delaware. Xiao-Lan had given her wedding band to her husband to hold for her while she went swimming with her son. The wedding band fell out of her husbands hand into the sand. I made contact with Xiao-Lan at the location on the beach where the ring had been lost, I began a search of the area and was able to locate the lost ring in the area in front of their blanket that was closest to the water.

A “FAREWELL” WAVE RESULTS IN LOST WEDDING RING THAT WAS SWIFTLY RECOVERED!!! 🌊

Allison and Mitch were enjoying their yearly vacation at Emerald Isle, NC. Allison went to rinse her wedding band in the damp sand when suddenly, an unexpected wave surged up the beach, snatching the ring from her fingers. A man from a neighboring group overheard their plight and suggested the Crystal Coast Ring Finders, which he had read about. Mitch contacted me roughly 20 minutes after the loss. When I arrived, I learned that another detectorist had detected a signal in the surf but failed to retrieve it, marking the location with a shovel. Allison believed she was slightly east of the marked spot when the ring slipped away. Venturing a few times into the turbulent surf, I picked up a strong signal in the wet sand. With one scoop, I unearthed the sand, and both Allison and I saw her ring as it tumbled out of the main sand pile. The exquisite band, a perfect complement to her engagement ring, was finally back in its rightful place.

Lost Family Heirloom Ring Recovered on Treasure Island, FL

Ring recovered July 8, 2024. I saw a post on a FB group for a family heirloom ring that was lost by a young lady at a dog beach on Treasure Island on July 6th. The ring was getting slippery on her finger and when she went to take it off and store it safely, she accidently dropped it into the water.

I attempted to searching the area where it was lost that morning, but the tide was high and current was strong. I just wasn’t able to make it out to where the ring was lost.

A couple of friends worked the area that evening at low tide, cleaning up all the junk (which also sounds like gold on a metal detector), but weren’t able to locate the missing ring. We were starting to worry that the ring may have been moved by the current, or worse, fell deeper into the channel.

I was on another recovery attempt on Treasure Island, but wasn’t having luck and running out of daylight, so I decided to try this recovery once more at low tide.

The small dog beach was mostly empty and the tide was low. I scanned the edge of the steep drop into the channel and after about 10 minutes hit a nice sounding signal. In the scoop was the lost ring!

I was able to meet up with Elaine at a nearby Starbucks who claimed the ring on behalf of the owner who had left for home (out of state) earlier in the day.
