Lost Platinum Wedding Band Recovered in Laurel, Maryland!

People say things like, “three is the charm” and “things come in threes”. If you are a hockey fan like myself you are familiar with the term “Hat Trick”. Any way you put it, it rang true today! I was able to help my third person this year by recovering his lost ring. Speaking of threes, all were platinum wedding rings!

I was contacted by Adam earlier in the week through thefingfinders.com. We made arrangements to……..actually, let Adam tell you in his own words!

In December of 2011, I lost my platinum wedding ring while rough-housing with our 2 dogs in our back yard. I felt my ring slide off of my finger and thought I heard it fall into leaves a few feet away. My wife and  I searched the area on our hands and knees for the next several hours without any luck. We even bought a cheap metal detector to aid our search but couldn’t find it.

I decided to search the internet to see if platinum could actually be detected and came across Jim’s blog.  My wife was skeptical, but I figured it was worth a shot and sent Jim an email to see if he could help. From this point forward I do not have enough positive things to say about Jim. He responded to my email within 20 minutes and was very responsive in all of our exchanges afterwards.

Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing about myself. We had agreed to meet up at 5:00pm. I had trouble leaving work and showed up 10 minutes late. It was dark and slightly rainy but by the time I arrived Jim had already found my ring !

Thanks so much !

Lost Ring Found… Bettendorf(Quad Cities) Iowa

Contact:

I got an email from a lady saying she had lost her wedding ring. She was pulling weeds and debris from a flower bed in her yard and noticed her ring was missing. This happened over a year ago. Her husband and her rented a detector but couldn’t find it.

They are getting ready to move so they thought they would give it one more shot and found my name on theringfinders site. When I arrived this morning Sept. 18th

it was raining but not hard enough that I couldn’t detect. They showed me the area she thought it was lost in and assured me that it wasn’t thrown away with the weeds. Well I searched for awhile finding mostly junk targets. On my thirteenth target I pulled up the ring and what a ring it is!

She was so excited when I called her over. She couldn’t stop hugging me. I was so happy to help these people. It was definetly the best ring I’ve ever found. I can’t wait for my next call out. Happy hunting everyone.

Lost Gold Ring in North Vancouver, BC…Found!

So last night before my night hunt for the two wedding rings I receive an email from a young lady who lost her gold ring that was given to her by her mother. After discussing the search we both knew it was a long shot due to she didn’t know when the ring came out of her pocket..

These kinda searches I call (closure searches) I will search the most likely areas where they think the ring fell out of her pocket. My chances are very low as its a needle in a haystack…The area was very big and to boot there was power lines directly above me. This drives detector crazy!

The only thing I could do for the first part of the search was use my pin pointer, as we moved away from the power lines I was able to use my detector by dropping the sensitivity  to almost the lowest setting. I would still be able to get a signal as the ring would be sitting on top of the grass.

The young lady was at work so her boyfriend met with me to show me the area they had walked when they realized the ring was missing.

After 30 minutes I got a great signal and as I bent down to use my pin pointer and move the grass there was here gold ring starring back up at me!!! Crazy, I was so happy and so was her boyfriend! I always give a 100% even if I don’t think I have a chance, today I was rewarded by finding this young ladies most cherished  gift that was given to her by her mother…

Lost Gold Ring at Wreck Beach, Vancouver…Found!

Today at work I received a call from a young man who lost his wedding band (common-law) at Wreck Beach yesterday. He explained that he took it off and put it in his pack so that he wouldn’t lose it.

That being said he went into his pack four times to get something out and it was in four different locations on the beach. I met Ben and his lovely wife to search the locations in hope that I could reunite him with his ring.

The first location on the beach (Nude Beach) was at the far end where he felt it could be, 20 minutes and some pocket change near a log and nothing. We move to the second location, another log closer to the middle of the beach. Within seconds of turning on my detector I found his ring…Smiles all around!
