San Diego Metal Detector found Lost Wedding Ring in CA

  • from Carlsbad (California, United States)

July 13th  10:00 p.m

I was out Searching For a long lost class ring in Oceanside when My phone blows up From John Hughes and a couple who Lost a Men’s Platinum Ring in the sand.I emediatley Responded.First thing In the morning I met Ted the owner who knew the rough area he had lost it and he saidimage image

This is his 2nd time losing it,the first time he lost it in Newport Beach out in the ocean and a metal detector By the name of Stan Ross from TheRingfinders.com found it nearly a week later! I told him he was a lucky guy to to meet a Legend like Stan.

This looked like a very easy search,In the dry sand, 35’x15′ foot area away from the water and crowds but One major concern I had to explain before I began my search…This beach I know well and often see many local Hobbie detectorist at night/midnight/am and because This ring was lost 3 days ago who knows if it is still in the sand?

So I began searching Using my Garrett V.L.F detector for nearly 15 minutes I have not even heard one piece of metal, trash, coin WOW this beach Has been cleaned. So I move further towards the trail and get my first signal a

(Solid scratchy Foil sound) wich I like to hear and I always dig trashy pull tab -aluminum sounds.. Why? …I take 1 scoop and There’s teds Platinum ring :).

Meanwhile Ted was enjoying the scenic view taking pictures of the Ocean and the nice sunny morning when I walked up with his ring…  We both smile and laughed I Told him He got lucky again !

I Must say, Thanks to The “Mistro” Stan Ross and John Hughes “King Neptune” for the opportunity to Help others.

Need Help?? Call me A.S.A.P!

Man’s 10K Gold Wedding Band Lost in the Ocean – Found and Returned North Myrtle Beach

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I received an e-mail through my Ring Finders address at about 9:30 pm from Chad here on vacation from WV. His e-mail said he had lost his wedding ring 4 days earlier during high tide while swimming in the ocean. He went on to tell me that the ring was very sentimental because it belonged to his grandfather and that it was a gold wedding band with approx. 5 small diamonds going across” the top evenly spaced. He also thought it was 10K but wasn’t 100% sure. He requested that if I find it or know of anyone who might find it to please call him. He also said there was a gentlemen on the beach metal detecting at the time he lost it and he also requested from him that if he finds it to please call him.

I responded back to Chad advising him that I’d be willing to help ,him and even though it was getting late I could be there within 15 minutes and catch the outgoing tide. In a follow up e-mail he stated he’d like to have me look for it so away I went. He and his family were out enjoying the sites of Myrtle Beach so I got there before he did and started searching where I thought he had described. Needless to say I was off about 25-50 yards. It wasn’t too long before he showed up and got me on track. As we were walking towards the new search area I asked him where he was from and when he told me WV I told him that just the night before I had found a young lady’s ring who was also from WV. Ironically she was his sister in law.

I started searching the low tide line working my way back towards the beach. It was late so Chad went back to his room. I worked my grid for about an hour and a half finding all the typical beach junk and finally got a good signal. The ring was deeper than I thought it would be but none the less it was the ring. I called him and just told him to meet me outside, I think he thought I was finished for the night. He met me and I held the ring out and he was shocked that I found it. Another very happy ending!!!!

Thank you Chad for the gracious reward.

I received the following e-mail from Jaime Plymale:

Author: Jaime Plymale (Chad’s wife)

Jim,

You are a kind, amazing man!!! A man of many miracles, an angel on earth!!! I cried when my husband showed me his lost ring that you found after 4 days and heavy storms!! Thanks so much!!!

Engagement and Wedding Ring Lost in the Sand – FOUND in North Myrtle Beach, SC

  • from North Myrtle Beach (South Carolina, United States)

I got a call from Holli asking if I could help her friend Kandi find her lost engagement and wedding ring that had been lost in the sand when the wind blew the bag over that the rings were in.

I was able to get to the beach in about an hour but there was a very heavy thunderstorm going through the area that delayed me in starting the search because of all the lightening associated with the storm. In the meantime, Kandi told me that her and her husband Bill had rented a  metal detector and attempted to find the rings themselves. I explained that the metal detectors that can be rented are inexpensive detectors that will not work in water or wet sand (because of the mineralization) and sketchy at best in dry sand. I also told them that if you’re unfamiliar with a metal detector you might get lucky and find your item but more likely than not you’re wasting your time and money.

After giving me a full description of the rings, Kandi showed me the area she thought the ring would be in and I started my grid. After about 40 minutes I had to expand my search out a little and within a couple of minutes I got a strong signal.  I took a small scoop of sand, shook it out and there was this beautiful ring  that matched exactly as the one Kandi described. I glanced over at Kandi, who with Bill, Holli and her husband had been watching me as I was doing the search. I gave Kandi a wink, a little smile and nod for her to come over. Not knowing what I was up to she sheepishly made her way over to me. I held the scoop out so she could look in it and BOOM, she saw her ring, reached in and grabbed it and gave me a huge hug and her tears started flowing. The other 4 of us were totally caught up in the moment.

I love doing this for people and there’s little else that can give you the same feeling of accomplishment.

Bill and Kandi, thank you so much for the very generous reward.

Thank you for reading my Blog.

Lost Wedding Ring “Found” in Katy, Texas

The Ring Finders Houston, Texas

I was contacted by Jon and Kerry today regarding Kerry’s Lost Engagement Ring-part of her Wedding Ring in Katy, Texas. Jon said they had been out walking when Kerry motioned with her hand and her ring went flying. John said the ring had landed in the grass near some businesses where they had been walking . Jon said they searched for an hour and could not find the ring. Jon said he went one step further and rented a Garrett Ace 250, but not being familiar with metal detector he wasn’t having any luck.

Jon said Kerry searched the internet for help and came across “The Ring Finders” and placed the call. The search was successful and Kerry was re-united with her missing Wedding-Engagement Ring today.

Great day in Texas…..

Lost Wedding Ring Found in Houston, Texas

The Ring Finders Houston, Texas

07/12/2015

I was contacted  Anthony and Jackie regarding Anthony’s lost wedding ring at their apartments pool in Houston, Texas. Anthony said he had been playing in the pool with one of their children when he felt his ring fly of his finger. Anthony said he searched for several hours, but he and Jackie were unable to find he missing wedding ring.

Anthony and Jackie searched the internet and found “The Ring Finders” and placed the call.

I met with Anthony and Jackie today, and after surveying the site, I asked Anthony to get back into the swimming pool and demonstrate his actions when he lost his ring. I had Anthony place a quarter between his finders and we did several test throws to see where his ring might have landed.

The practice throws were the key, on his third practice throw with the quarter it landed on the opposite side of the swimming pool. This was an area previously not searched by Anthony and Jackie, not thinking the ring was on the opposite side of the pool.

The ring was found moments later and Anthony was re-united with his missing wedding ring.

Anthony and Jackie were a great couple and it was a pleasure helping them find their lost ring.

Lost Wedding Ring at Park in Long Beach, CA…Found.

  • from Redondo Beach (California, United States)

P1020689P1020688

Jacob called me today explaining how he had lost his ring while jogging around his local park. He asked if I would be able to help him, and I told him I would leave immediately to meet him at the park. When I arrived he met me, showed me the area, and I then began asking all the pertinent questions to asses the possible area of the loss. I determined about where the ring would have landed from what Jacob told me. The good thing was that he had heard the ring hit the sidewalk when it dropped, so he had a good idea of where it could have landed.

I began my search in the area he first thought the ring may have landed, and continued forward about 60 to 70 feet checking all signals with my pin pointer. I then heard a nice solid signal with the detector, and looked down to see the ring right about where I thought it may have landed from the sidewalk. The ring was white gold and seemed to reflect the surrounding grass (both brown and green) in such a way as to camouflage it if you were looking down at it. The detector once again played a big part in recovering a ring and renewing its story. It was great to be able to restore Jacob’s smile today. Referred to me by fellow Ring Finder Stan Ross.

If you lose your ring or other metal item of value, call as soon as possible. I will work hard to help you find what you thought might never be found again. I search,  Beverly Hills, Hermosa Beach, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Seal Beach, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Torrance, Venice Beach, and all parks, yards, gardens, and ponds (to 5 foot depths) in all of Orange County, all of Los Angeles County, and Ventura County.

Lost ring at Coronado dog beach Found!

  • from La Jolla (California, United States)

I ran across a Craig’s list ad in the lost and found section that told of a lost wedding ring at the dog beach in Coronado. I emailed Lisa back about TheRingFinders.com service and that I would be willing to look for it if they wished me to. A series of e-mails later, arrangements were made to meet at the beach at a low tide on Saturday morning. That beach gets detected almost daily, so. I just hoped the ring was still there, especially with an active Craig’s list ad.

I arrived early to beat the traffic and find a parking spot easier. I started detecting the beach but I didn’t know the search area yet, so, I just made my best guess on the most popular area. After detecting for a while and finding some targets (a good sign), Lisa’s husband, Olivier, and their son showed up to direct me to where they had been several days earlier when the ring was lost…the other end of the beach, of course! Olivier and son had been playing ball at the water’s edge when Olivier’s ring flew off. I had them give me the dimensions of the search area which ended up being about 80′ squared of wet and dry sand. I started at the middle of one edge of the square and proceeded to cut the square in half and work my way toward the edges. 10′ into my first pass, I had my first target, his ring, and it was in my scoop! They couldn’t believe it and thought I must be some kind of magician! A happy Olivier had his ring back so it can continue it’s story. Thank you for the reward.

Lost Native Silver & Gold Ring at Locarno Beach, Vancouver…Found

  • from Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada)

It was a hot summer day and I just got home from the beach when I got a call from a young lady who was very upset that she had lost he Native Carved Silver & Gold ring in the ocean. I asked her a few questions and found out that it was lost in high tide and well over my head in water.

I discussed the search and asked if I could meet her at the location so she could describe what happen and show me where she believed the ring was lost. When I got there she pointed out to the float dock and said it was near there where the ring had come off.

Now that I knew the area I checked my tide tool and it said that low tide was at 2am. I told her that I’d be back and search for her ring at night as the tide was going out. When I got there at 11am the tide was still too high. I searched the dry sand for a couple of hours and found some change and the usual amount of garbage. I went back into the water and it was still too deep??? Back to the dry sand and at 2 am still over my head. I checked my phone app for tide tool and it was set for la Jolla California not Vancouver Beaches! The low tide was at 10 am… so I went to my car and slept till 5:30 am got up and worked the tide as it was going out…I found the ring in waste deep water at around 8 am…

Great to be able to send her the picture and tell her that the ring was recovered! I did a little video about the search and unfortunately the young lady was camera shy…

Lost Wedding Band at Kahala Beach…………FOUND!

  • from O‘ahu (Hawaii, United States)

IMG_1490arfkahalaTC

I saw the following craigslist ad:

Men’s Wedding Ring Lost @ Kahala Beach (Honolulu)

Please help! I lost my wedding ring in the shallow water off Kahala Beach. It’s a white gold band, with a turquoise wrap, next to a Koa Wood wrap. I can offer a small reward of $25 for the honorable person who finds it and returns it to me. It’s a non-expensive ring valued at $50, but it has a lot of sentimental value to me. We were off 4771 Kahala Ave beach access. If you walk towards the ocean and you get to the beach, go left a little ways from the beach access, I lost it in the shallow water there. Mahalo!!

The surf finally settled down on the South shore so I took my daughter Korin and wife Wendy to the beach so I could take a shot at finding Sean’s Wedding ring. Kahala Beach has a lot of metal trash so my odds would be hampered trying to sort through the chatter. Sean gave good location data so I started my search at the beach access and worked to the left. My first target was a Dog named “Tucker” who lost his collar. That will be an easy return as it has two owner phone numbers. On the ninth leg of the grid search in waist deep water I got that tone and there was Sean’s beautiful ring. Now if he answers my craigslist reply we’ll get him his ring and a smile!!!

I finally got to meet Sean today at Kahala Mall to give back his ring. He told me he had just put sunscreen on and was paddling with his hands on a float when the ring popped off. He thought for sure he’d never see it again. I’m just glad it was in the sandy area versus the rocks which would have been nearly impossible. Smiles all around. Aloha to Sean!
